Shows that the Hyundai is also very competitive still also. Don't know how hard Ogier was pushing on final day as he probably knew he wouldn't catch neuville and JML, but he wasn't very quick at all. Even the powerstage when he did push he didn't win by much. I know he lost a second or 2 in a hairpin, but he still wouldn't have won by a lot -
By not being tied to a WRC license, they do have the option to go wherever they want. But you can't deny that we got some great stages. For the next game, I think we should either get 6 completely new locations, or a mixture of some new and some old.
Australia or NZ
Spain
Corsica
Poland
Wales (Eppynt)
Portugal or Italy
And then maybe a return of Greece and Finland

Basically, there are a shit tonne of stages out there across the world, with some pretty spectacular ones either on or off the WRC calendar, and we want them all! Unfortunately we can't get them all, but as long as we get a good selection of some pretty decent stages, I'll be more than happy! -

I love Eppynt, and hopefully will be back out there competing next month. The stages are always great, very fast and flowing, with some pretty good scenery. Can't remember if its Monument or Route 60 that has a really cool downhill section onto a big concrete bridge, then back up the otherside? It claimed quite a few cars last year, and caused a few cracked windscreens too! -

You are, right. Let DR 2 follow lesser known rallies, and have Kylotonn follow WRC ;) Amateur rallies also needs love, and some of them are really pearls/diamonds.KingOfCoins said:
Hope so too. In my opinion the biggest flaw Dirt rally has regarding stages is that it's following the WRC callendar too much. They have an amazing oppertunity to go off the grid to do some amazing but lesser known rallies. But I can understand why they did it.BadD0g said:
I would love that too, but people threw a hissy fit when they found out Finland was going to be in the autumn, even though this isn't a WRC game and they don't need to follow the WRC callendar. Hopefully those people are the minority.KingOfCoins said:I agree. Another possibility in addition is to change the seasons to the existing stages, which could really help with giving them a new feel for a new game.I for one would love to do the monte rally in the summer.
But we don't exactly have bad rallies and stages in the game currently. But yeah, there are some fantastic lesser known stages out there, I've been lucky enough to tackle some of those in Britain. The somerset stages in south England are great stages, with the gravel being a unique red-brown. And Porlock Hill would be a great challenge on the next game! Tight and twisty and the bottom, and fast and open at the top!

I'm wasn't overly fussed about it, but recently there have been some stunning photos coming out of some of the summertime Welsh forests, and now I'd love to see that in the game.BadD0g said:

Definitely agree with that. I'd especially love the vineyard Germany stages. Maybe something different in Wales too, like route 60 or the great orme.gfRally said:ill add 2 things as a short wish list for content:
1) carrying over locations from DR do other stages in the locations (I.e. Germany wine country). I would guess the assets are there and I would imagine the other areas of the locations where documented and photographed. I would just guess these would be quicker than creating all new? Not sure what takes longer Mesh/3D work or environment work.
Add additional new non dlc locations too expand content even more.
2) Short and quickwish, more pronounced bump maps on terrain, at times the gravel just looks like a flat texture. -

I thought so? The first #thatcar was the Sport Quattro and the second hash tagged car was the Peugeot 208?chukonu said:If only I was a tester, secret or not!
What about #thatcar, #thiscar, #thatothercar, etc? Have they all been implemented into the game yet?
(Not 100% sure on the above though, so I await correction!)
Really intrigued to know what they have planned: is it just minor tweaks, or is there further content coming for the game?
Yep - #Thatcar was being teased way before the game was announced because it was one of the first powerful cars they got working, and everyone in the team was excited about it. #Thatothercar was the 208. -
I'm pretty sure half the regular gossipers are testers now! You can normally tell when everyone goes quiet as soon as speculation for new updates starts! With the exception of a certain someone a year or two back who continued to gossip and speculate before it was announced, despite the fact they were secretely one of the first to see the bloody game! -
The trusted group of testers won't be revealing anything... for free. For the right price though...RyuMakkuro said:
Even if he would talk, Codies probably already made some form of censoring system, so it will look something like this:
"This new content will bring an *NDA* to *NDA* along with *NDA*." -

We still have the secret testers, but I'm no longer on PC so I haven't tested anything myself, just been quietly observing! -
F2CMaDMaXX said:Alright, time to change the subject i think.
I'll drop some gossip for the next update. It has something to do with cars.
In all seriousness, hopefully it won't be too long before codies can talk about what they have been teasing. It's quite fun seeing it from the other side and seeing how close people get when guessing, same as when myself and a few others were lucky enough to play the game before it was announced, and gossip was at its highest! -
I tried to have one of those trippy Dirt dreams everyone was on about with the acid and such. Can someone pick me up from Amsterdam please?
-
They would have to phone up every single license holder that they have to confirm to new changes, as the cars are all licensed as they are, such as the s1600's are licensed with one seat, and for RX races, which is why you can't rally them. I'd imagine that there would be quite a few that would be rarely unhappy with ACAT, and it would be a difficult and expensive process. -

The game was built around V1, so I think when v2 was added it didn't suit everything. Some things improved, others were slightly worse off, such as jumps -
I don't think it's the stages, I think they're fairly accurate, it's just the game's physics don't calculate the jumps well e.g. The cars fly too muchbogani said:
I still kinda agree with him though. The jumps and crests are a tad exagerated imo. Finland feels like it still got one foot in the old Dirt games compared to the quality of Wales and Sweden.RallyDriven said:
It's a real stage in a real forest, complain to GodGGN said:No point of playing the game anymore once you reach elite difficulty in rally. Everything is inpossible at that point, then the game become a P.O.S game where you only loose. i miss dirt 3. rally finland is f***** in this game. why put a jump on EVERY f***n turn??? so overkill. wish i could get my money back! -
Also, with WRC 6 announced, we can probably rule out cm next game having the WRC license -

They said in the videogamer article I posted that stages would be longer and more narrow. Could actually prove to be an alright gamexkevlarx said:Having good handling is pointless, if they don't improve their track design. WRC5 tracks are abomination.
This looks slightly more promising though.

Wrc 6, will probably be bad, but still, they could surprise

I really don't think we will be seeing a huge handling overhaul now that ea is over and it's out on console. The changes will most likely be in the next title -
I know he hasn't got a lot of experience and you can't blame him for that, but that is precisely why Elfyn should still have his seat. One reasonable result just does t really do a lot for me. Speed and consistency are also two very different things -
I haven't been following it so much this weekend, but what exactly did he do other than set one reasonable stage time? Yeah he came 5th, but that's really only cause a lot of people retired. He's just not that quick, and I highly doubt he ever will beUnderkex said:Great for Meeke, What happens to Latvala? And finally Camilli did something decent, not enough to quiet his haters.
