I basically read into it as 'the future is bright for DiRT'. whether that's DLC for Rally or a bigger budget sequel. Basically, The bosses at Codemasters have realized that Paul and co were right about making DiRT Rally instead of DiRT 4, and now they have more room to breathe with it in the future -
Sometimes we throw some gravel at the potholes around our farm. Sometimes.
What were we talking about again? -
I can just imagine the moment they went airborne there was a sudden realization in the car that this was a very bad idea
Edit: At least he didn't Kentomaa it!

Spain gets my vote, have one gravel stage and one tarmac stage (I think there was one on RACC this year that had a small mix of tarmac and gravel?) And then in the career it could be set to do half the rally on one surface and the second half on the other. -
Its possible, but do they have everything they need from the D3 reference material? As D3 weren't real stages, they just had some features of real stages. So to recreate a real stage they might not have everything they needRyuMakkuro said:
And it's been basically confirmed to come at some point.gfRally said:One "legendary" place is full gravel Pikes Peak.
If there would be any additional rally to come, Kenya aka Safari rally seems the most probable tbh. It's by far the most requested one and it appeared in DiRT 3 in more than one form (trailblazer and rally) which means they should have a lot of reference materials. I personally would like to see Australia and San Remo the most, but that's just me.
The missing Renaults are always possible to come in some time, along with the liveries that @BrySkye pointed out. And naturally, the most important of all, the Audi Quattro E2 :D

Wasn't there an amazon italy description that mentioned a 99 min Colin McRae documentary? Because McRae was pretty legendary if I remember rightly!
And as for the console port, I assume part of it is being done by the new partnership with Koch Media?
Such gossip, much speculate -
I would really like a new Wales stage, especially since I spend most of my life standing or driving through Welsh forests, but I would prefer to see somewhere new. -
Yeah the red bull interview with Darren told us about the new tutorials.
With regards to DLC, we know that Barcelona RX is fairly likely as they collected reference material. Stages closer to home are also more likely than ones further away, but would they do a DLC which adds stages to already existing locations? It would still be good, I just feel that it doesn't sound as good on the sales front. For example a rally Spain DLC sounds better than a Wales DLC as we already have Wales and that would probably confuse people -
Metacritic scoreis now at 87 after another 4 reviews. I'm really happy that all these reviewers are really seeing the point of the game, and not getting upset because its not dirt 4 -
I think some of the features need a little more explanation, as some new comers probably won't understand some of the stuff. I've got two friends who will be getting it with me on Xbox one and I know I'm going to have to explain a fair amount of it to them! -
So we know there will be new tutorials on the console version, I was wondering if there could be some introduction to rallycross style video? -
Looking good so far, I've been waiting for them to come in, it will be interesting to see how it does. So far the 4 websites that reviewed it have clearly seen the aim of it, I wonder what will happen when some of the bigger names get hold of it?TPJP said:First reviews on DiRT Rally in. I wouldn't put too much trust into pre order descriptions, they are often wrong. But if the Amazon one also has a 'legend edition' then I guess there probably will be some kind of pre order bonus -
Interesting. Do a lot of people not buy in to early access and wait for full release? Or would most people have already bought dirt? -
Is that all pcars and AC have on steam? Thought it would be more -
I could manage thatRallycameraman said:
I think we need another visit to Codies HQ to make sure progress is going well on the console version ;)MastaVonBlasta said:With such a positive reaction to DiRT Rally and about 200 000 sales on Steam Codies are making a really good move by bringing it to consoles.
If I read it correctly the recent co-publishing deal means that an investment will made into porting the PC DiRT Rally to PS4 XBOne. I suspect that investment will mean some new features, locations and cars.
Codies have laid out their plans for Early Access and stuck to them. Now, the DiRT team, with company's backing and funds can make it even better.
That's what I think this Legend edition will be. I think that the current owners of DiRT Rally on Steam will see their game grow when it launches on consoles in April 2016 :) -
No, if what we were told on our visit to codies still applies, disregard Toyota completelyKingOfCoins said:I have been thinking about all these licensing issues. Maybe one of the reasons certain manufacturers didn't want to have their car in the game because it was in early access? Maybe a toyota is one of those "super secret cars" thye have been working on. Maybe we can get those cars now that the game isn't in early access and is coming for consoles? It's a long shot, but I like to believe it. -
Better not, I want to be the only VIP on Xbox one!BrySkye said:
Yeah, but that was a compilation released over a year after the initial game.dgeesi0 said:skyrim legendary edition means all dlc included :p hmmmmm
More akin to DiRT 3 Complete Edition.
4 months after release is a bit soon to be thinking in such terms.
Assuming it's not an error, it'll probably have some more goodies like liveries (the ones that are exclusive to VIPs & Early Access perhaps?), automatic VIP status, things like that.
At least they aren't doing a silly edition that comes with a car that never sells, becoming a PR flop. -
Really don't like the new colours, the car looks cool and I was hoping for something better. Hoping it grows on my when it hits the stages -
Ah ok, fair enough! They often give games names like that for pre orders, like one of the grid games was 'black edition' and it featured extra liveries -
Where does it say that? Because surely that's just everything the game is launching with?TURBODEVIN19 said:
Legend Edition: including all DLC released until april 2016?RallyDriven said:Sorry for double posting, but I though I'd get things back on topic.
So I was just checking to see if pre orders were available yet, and I found this:

'Legend Edition'? No word on what that means, but I'm guessing there could be pre order bonuses? Also there's confirmation on there that leagues and the daily/weekly challenges will be making their way to console too!

If it was done I'd want it done visually as well, ie lots of puddles, running water etc. I wouldn't want just a 'low grip' option, as that is definitely not 'sim'.
