Everything just seems to be falling out at this point doesn't it? I'm hoping that all the announcements will come with the update on Monday (not saying that's when the update is, just speculating).
I wonder how far console release would be? Right back in November last year we were discussing with Lee and the team the early access programme, and it was mentioned that if they were going to do a console release, the porting would be outsourced to someone else, allowing the Codemasters team to focus on PC. I don't know whether this happened in the end, or if it did when they would have starting to do it. I guess they could have started a while ago, and then worked on the later stuff like modern masters and winter wonderland later down the line? -

With the new house this year I have had to curtail my spending some what! I almost cracked when MGS5 came out, but I managed to resist. I cannot wait any longer to play DiRT Rally though, so once that's confirmed I'm making a purchase!RallyDriven said:Haha thought you already had one!
Although I've been playing I haven't been able to enjoy it as my laptop doesn't like rain or night time, so I'll be really looking forward to playing the full thing again! I've only logged about 80 hours or so as I didn't want to ruin the game for when I can play it properly!
I cracked about this time last year in the Christmas sales and got an xbox. The wait will be worth it, what we played before release is nothing compared to the stuff in the game now! -

Im so happy right now! Can't wait for it to be official, @tbtstt should also be happy!

To be honest if block comes to world rx it will only be good. It will distract the Americans from global rallycrash and will bring it even more coverage. Tanner Foust should get a full world rx drive too, that would make things interesting -
Considering the experience of Evans and Kunica, I can't believe they picked Camilli over them. Evans and Kubica might not be the best, but their experience of rallies and the car are not comparible -
I'm assuming they will be taking rally physics from SLRE? And I also guess they are using Rossi's Fiesta, so I guess that will be in SLRE too if it's not already confirmed? -
In other news, Milestone just announced Valentino Rossi - The Game, which amongst bike stuff will include being able to take a rally car around monza rally show -
That would be interesting. I'm amazed at how much money they can spend on Motorsport! -
I'm glad we have at least one more season with tanak. I think he has more to give, and hopefully he shows it next year and proves me right! -
I was standing around the our farm at home earlier this year when I suddenly heard a noise, looked round and the Vulcan came over head, absolutely amazing noise and sight! Was lucky to see it flying over silverstone a few years back too -
I rarely see the outside of the car, so I'd probably have to agree with you!tbtstt said:
I would rather drive a poorly modeled E2 that has the right sound, than a perfectly rendered car that doesn't sound right. I personally find the incorrect sound paired to a car a much bigger immersion breaker than graphics: especially when the car in question is one of (if not the) greatest sounding competition car of all time! I appreciate I may be in the minority with that point though, as many seem to put preference on graphics.BrySkye said:
I never really did either, but it's pretty much your only option if you want to drive a nice looking Quattro E2 or a barely ok Corolla WRC with modern graphics. That poor, poor overlooked car.tbtstt said:Oh and - personal point of view - as much as I enjoy racing in GT, I have never rated the rally portion of the games.
That's a fair point with regards to sourcing a car to record. Sure they could have found an inline 5 cylinder engine to record somewhere in Japan though... -
I'd bet any rally fan £10 that they couldn't listen to that without looking at it and guess what car it is from the engine sound! Did they not even try and make it sound like a Quatrro?BrySkye said:Funny thing is that rally in GT doesn't feel as bad as it might look in gameplay, especially chase came.
Yet the way the cars move on gravel in a replay actually looks pretty good.

What is happening with project cars 2? The last I saw if it you paid something stupid like £50 and got a flat piece of track with different surfaces -
Yeah tanak himself on Twitter suggested that he hasn't heard about any of this! Dmack are supposed to be making a big announcement soon, so it's likely they will be putting a world rally team together -
This is basically a repeat of a few years ago when the 'focused' on racing games with the launch of codemasters racing. Then they caught a whiff of mobile games and went off on a bit of a tangent. Hopefully this time they shall be sticking with racing for good -
I do too, but tye game does miss some things like atmosphere. At the moment it is just menus and racing. The racing is incredible and the menus are pretty good, but it's a bit of a shame we miss out on other thingsRodgerDavies said:
Personally, I'd hope exactly the same, but with a few more details in those stages or handling (or some more licenses) - I much prefer the presentation style and menu system they have now to any previous rally games I've played.RallyDriven said:
I wonder what dirt rally would have been like with a budget similar to dirt 3? Things like service animations and other things were sacrificed for the details in stages and handlinggfRally said:
Oh yeah, one more, absolutely have to have CMR3 animations. Loved the service area work and sounds, the start of the stage animations with marshal walking up to car, and finally the celebrations at the end of the event.RallyDriven said:Totally agree with you, Dirt 2 had an interesting story that involved you. I would like to see a more professional version of it, with dirt rally physics and stages
These just add to the experience and rally culture we love.
People are as much about rally as the cars and places. -

My GCSE German is barely helping.
Considering they don't have many facts right, I doubt there is any new information there. It's mainly about basic features such as weather, number of cars/stages etc. plus some stuff about tuning and upgrading -

Yeah, pretty much everything else lately that we have speculated about that has been false, we have been told about it. This hasn't been denied at all. I wonder when the actual announcement is meant to be, or whether this leak changes things?BrySkye said:^
In addition to that, both Paul and Hatward, at the very least have been lingering around in here, dropping a few likes and lols here and there.
If there was absolutely nothing to this, you would think they would be rather quick to shoot it down and say it's fake, especially if it were to associate their product with a vehicle they didn't have permission to use.
That would be pretty bad times for them.
Woth regards to the game's size, would it not be compressed slightly from the steam download? I don't know much (anything) about it, but I always assumed downloading a game straight was larger than having it on a disc? -
I can't see it being fake tbh, it's far too well done. If it was something along the lines of Porkhammer's then I might have been a bit skeptical. But this looks pretty legit. -
Dam that box art looks good! Shame there is no xbox one logo on it though :(
I'm kind of surprised there isn't rallycross on the box, although there is RX branding at the bottom, and I'm sure it will be well advertised on the back

Pretty sure petter is doing rallycross next year, but there were hints he might be looking at doing something else.

I don't really know much about game development. This was only mentioned briefly at the time, so anything could have changed by then. I hope we find out sooner rather than later, cause I'm pretty excited right now!
