We weren't that mean! We didn't know when it was releasing either!Darhour said:We miss our fellow Lee who had been so cruel to us by throwing unfathomable hints at us that made the game unexpectedly reveal itself at the end of April. LOL ( I bet the game testers were cruel too
God time flies too quick...
For some background, in November we basically tested the handling and some stages. There were no menus and not all the stages of Greece, monte or Wales were there, and some didn't have pace notes. Also played on Lydden in some rally cars.
In November we basically got what everyone got at the start of early access.
So it was quite funny watching the hints being dropped from the other side of things! One of my favourites was when Lee wrote a codies weekly update, which had a piece about 'that car', and just above it was Dirt 3 concept art of the Audi Quatrro. Nobody picked up on it! -

Maybe they don't have the budget and would rather put all the money into 2017szekto said:Today's announcement from Citroen makes no sense for me. They will quit the WRC for 1 year, and then they will enter it in 2017 again...Why the heck they can't participate in 2016, just like collecting the kms and experience for the future? -
The drivers seem positive that Hyundai are making a big step forward next year with the new car. But this news is looking like we will be sacrificing 2016 for 2017 in terms of competitiveness and excitement
edit: Meeke and seb confirmed for part 2016 programme and 2017 development apparently -
Lots of drivers for less seats next year then. It's a bit of a shame we will be missing a team next year, but I'm very glad they chose WRC over WTCC -
I've only logged 80 something hours on Dirt, so I do have good knowledge of the outside world -
I haven't seen anything of Tanak's retirement from GB, so I just watched his onboard on WRC+ of stage 16, and he was incredibly unlucky. It just looks like he touched a bank, which 99 times out of 100 wouldn't have done anything. There were videos of Ogier and Mikkelson hitting banks in the Polo twice as hard as Tanak did. -
I heard rumours that the main reason for VW's speed above the other teams is their suspension technology. Don't know how much truth to that, but supposedly its leaps and bounds ahead of the other teams -
I like Mads, he might not always be the fastest but he's fairly consistent and seems a really nice guy -
Can we do what the Chelsea fans did with Azpilicueta and just call him Dave? -
I booked a skiing trip, so no gaming rig for me :(Rallycameraman said:Ok so the credit card had a beating this evening and i've ordered a T300 servo and 458 GTE wheel. I was going to get the GT28 wheel, but the reviews for the 458 wheel were all pretty good. Now just have to wait for them to arrive, as well as the adapter so I can use my G27 pedals :) -
No, I can't pronounce his namefunction9 said:I'd like to see what Kajetanowicz could do in the WRC. He's consistent and quick, especially on events he hasn't done before. -
The worrying thing is that many people believe that! Then there's me sat in the middle trying to listen to rally radio!MastaVonBlasta said:
Maybe it's because you're studying agriculture! :DRallyDriven said:If you sit in at the back of a lecture hall at my uni and look at people's laptops, most of them are playing farming simulator!
Of all the games one can kill time in your case playing Farming Sim is pretty close to coursework :P -

They've worked with some fairly big games like dead island and Homefront. But most importantly they've worked with farming simulator -
Kubica has brilliant potential, just hope that if he is here next year he can show it.
And I really hope Thierry pulls his finger out next year! In 2014 he was winning stages and coming out in the interviews at the stage end saying he wasn't too happy and could have gone quicker! Hopefully next year will be his year again -
Codemasters shared it as a 'championship-winning partnership ;)' on Twitter. Does this mean they are no longer with bandai namco? (Think that's what it was) -
Yep, knew I forgot someone!Fedemaisonnave said:
You forgot Kris! At Wales and ArgentinaRallyDriven said:The thing with this year is, almost every driver at some point in the season has shown that they can mix it at the top:
Neuville in Sweden
Ostberg in Spain
Paddon in Sardinia
Tanak in Poland
Mikkelson in Sweden/Spain
Evans in Corsica
Kubica in most places before he bins it
Latvala is always up there
Sordo can also show good results (Sardinia and Spain)
And then Ogier is just not human (other than Spain) -

Codemasters Twitter page just announced some kind of new publishing partnership, don't know what it means for DiRT

I thought Neuville was contracted for next year? I've never heard uncertainty from him about next year despite this year not going great for him.
I think VW won't change, although Mikkelson deserves better than second team. But they do have the 3 best drivers in the best car!
Citroen: I hope they keep Kris and Mads, they both deserve another season
Hyundai should promote Paddon to first team with Neuville, see how he does next season.
M-sport is a tricky one, both Evans and Tanak have potential (Poland for tanak and Corsica for Evans) but they aren't title winning material just yet.
There is a huge amount of talent out there right now, it's just a bit of a shame that there is one dominant driver (Ogier) and one dominant team (VW), otherwise it would be extremely close and competitive -
You didn't by any chance get any of my brother in a white and orange MG, think he was 127? Think he was stuck in second gear by the time he passed you though!tbtstt said:
Well I don't think @Rallycameraman has anything to worry about, but I still enjoyed watching that @RallyDriven !RallyDriven said:
Yeah the weather was pretty awful! I took my go pro out the rally car in an attempt to be all professional!tbtstt said:
You were there? Ha! Funnily enough I asked @Rallycameraman if he was going to be there, but not you!RallyDriven said:
Didn't know you were at the tempest! We were only that stage 3, wanted to do more but my brother's gearbox broke for the 4th event in a row! :(tbtstt said:
Sadly not. A mate and I were debating going, but he is now busy and I have work to do, so I'll have to give it a miss. The Tempest last weekend will be my only rally of 2015 (for shame!).Rallycameraman said:Page 2. This is not acceptable.
So whose going to Rally GB this weekend then?
Look forward to watching some video!
In gossip news, the F1 games have a permanent community manager now. Hopefully we will also see some more community stuff
Was rather a restrictive affair for spectators this year, so I ended up spending the day on Warren. Awful weather in the morning, but wasn't too bad in the afternoon.

I'll probably leave it to Luke in the future!
It was a rather unsuccessful day with the camera, but here are a few photos from Warren:

Ah I see, I miss read it, thought you were saying Greece had more dust than other locations like Wales :)RyuMakkuro said:
