Why are they (Milestone) even trying...?
It looks as if the cars are steering from the centre and not following the front wheels? Nothing about that handling model looks right, and I hope 'work in progress' actually means LOADS AND LOADS of work in progress

I probably won't be playing dirt until late September time now due to my current work situation. Almost tempted to get a goodish PC as a reward!

Would you build it your self or buy over priced off the shelf? Just out of interest.
I probably won't get one, there's other things I want more first, such as a new road car and another year at uni, but I'd buy one as I have 0 knowledge of PC's and electronics!

That's fair enough. If you do ever get round to it tho. I can thoroughly recommend giving a self build a good look at. You can save a massive amount & quite honestly if I can do it a hamster with narcolepsy can do it.

As for road deformation, This would  certainly put Dirt Rally well ahead of the competition. If it can implemented well and not hurt  fps to hard it would be simply magnificent.
If only want to spend a few hundred on one if I did, not looking for anything ridiculous

Looks like a bunch of posts have gone AWOL.
Never looks good when well behaved discussion just vanishes.

Maybe the reason behind Renault licensing problems?
As far as I'm aware, It's never been stated that there are any Renault licensing problems at all.
That's just an assumption from the cars not being in the 0.500 update.
Thing is, we don't know that they were ever meant to be in that update.

The fact they were in an accidentally released internal build doesn't really mean anything, since internal builds can contain any mixture of elements in different stages of implementation.
Codies have had internal builds that include Rally Cross since before Pikes Peak was released (Imagine if one of THOSE had accidentally been released).
Exactly, there are still a few things that I've played that you guys havnt, and might never get to play

  5. Well I think those are public roads, which the WRC doesn't "own". Likewise with Pikes Peak. I don't think anyone can sue you for recreating a public road that someone else happens to use for their racing game too.

I don't think they use real stage names though, "Panzerplatte" isn't mentioned, instead the stages are named after villages nearby.
Pikes peak did have to be licensed, although you could probably recreate the road and call it something else without a license

  6. From what I gather yeah, the wrc has no ownership of stage names, for instance we use many of the WRGB stages in the BTRDA championship which I compete in all under the same names. I doubt you would be able to use the WRGB name or branding though, as that'd probably come under wrc licensing

The new Road book, whilst it mentions about the RX update, it doesn't mention if it now means we'll get all 3 tracks or once, or it'll be Lydden and Holjes and then Hell a few weeks later. Can you confirm anything @KickUp?
The plan is for it to still be two packs, only the first one has slipped back a week from its original date... but that date was only internal so its not like you knew when it was due anyway. Would have got away with it if we didn't cross into a new month :P
Dr Freud said you need to let things out, don't internalize everything, it will make you go mad.
Dr Freud said lots of things...

been a a bit difficult keeping up with the gossip whilst living in a mobile home with dodgy 3G connection, but I'm really looking forward to seeing how everything turns out!

In the meantime, I've got some real rallying to do in Wales this weekend!
