Thanks for all your kind comments guys, I appreciate it. It was a tough decision to make but it was the right one although I can't deny that I'll be disappointed not to be able to chat to you all nearer the release. @KickUp will have it covered though

There are a few fundamental things that make rally cars behave the way they do, especially on loose surfaces. Diffs is one of them ;)
-
It's coming back in 2016 @ThierryNeuville. Having a year break and changing promoter.
-
That is possibly one of the coolest things I've ever seen!! Awesome job, Greg!

We'll have to get one of these for the wall Hmmm, maybe something with lots of different rally things on it.... A is for Accelerator B is for Brake C is for Calipers D is for Differentials E is for Exhaust F is for Flippin' heck that was close.......

You guys are rubbish at this, you didn't even drop any proper clues! Hey!
-
Indeed it was British rally driver Ryan Champion! Nobody can keep a secret around here.... :)
-
He is from Devon, so not really British :D

Loving the wild speculation though! ;)

I would love to do that rally. Have you been / are you going to Whaanga Coast?
-
Pssstt @JonTucker you should get yourself one of our shiney dev steam accounts with all the games on ;) \:D/ perks!

@MastaVonBlasta no such thing as an EX-rally driver! ;)

Is that an aerodynamic feature @ThierryNeuville? ;)

I loved the first DiRT game (it was before my time at Codemasters) although the handling model did have some slightly strange characteristics. The thing that made it for me was the varied characteristics of the stages. Some were technical, others were fast and flowing. They represented their locations well and it was great to hone your skills on each one to try and achieve the best time. It also has a great selection of cars from classics to more modern machines. Hmmm I might go dig it out actually....

Codemasters developers vs gamers in a real rally!
JonTucker replied to MartijnvH's topic in World of Motorsport
:) Glad to hear! @jontucker drove a Peugeot 206 1.6 XS cup car right? Mine 206 is a 2.0L 16 valve ;-) Yes, it was a 206 Super Cup car. So much fun! It would be great to enter a rally and go head to head @ThierryNeuville! :D Thanks @RallyCameraman :\"> -
Just to add to what @KickUp said, I'm also following this thread (and others) very closely :) It's great to get your views on what should be included in the next game and very pleasing to know that we are on the same wave length. Having been involved in motorsport for a number of years as a competitor, a spectator, a marshall, an instructor and in general a HUGE fan of the sport and of games representing it, I feel very privileged to be able to use that insight and work with such a talented team. I can't wait to be able to discuss more about what we're up to. :D

Ohhh I like that idea Edit: Sorry I've got to ask @gfRally and I could be way off but are you Greg Flinchbaugh by any chance? I'm going to say.... yes, he is Greg Flinchbaugh :)

It wouldn't be rallying without trees, gearbox and engine problems!

I know this sound strange Paul, but we rather see u working instead of active at the forum ;) hehehe :> We are dieing for the new Codemasters Rally game! But so good to see you @RowdyBurms and @jonTucker at the forum! Also I hope to see u guys soon back ralling in the Scooby! PS. invitation for a Dutch rally is still open ;-) Although I am trying to come over the UK asap to do a nice gravel rally! We can't wait to get back out in to the forests and it would be great to have you over in the UK for a rally. Make it happen! :)

@JonTucker Someone's in need of a Codemasters Employee badge? ;] We've got a man on it! n.b: but he might be busy moaning about being on a diet ;)
