  1. Pretty much what topic states. I think it would create more immersion, if your engine R&D would reset if you change your engine supplier. In real life, the car has to be adapted if the engine supplier is changed, and reseting engine R&D would re-create some of that. Also if there is a regulation change in engine department, you could use that to change into a different supplier without too much penalty. The engine performance after a season should not be almost 100 in every supplier, rather change maybe based on how teams with certain engine suppliers perform, and add some randomness into the mix. The upgrades you get from the engine supplier, should not be the base of how the base performance is for the whole supplier, rather be just an add on to the base performance of the engine. For example, Honda is the weakest engine, but they give you upgrades during the season to bring it closer to the other suppliers. And when the season ends, the supplier upgrades reset, and the supplier performance would be the base, on which the supplier could upgrade the engine during the season. The changes between seasons should be subtle, so that it would not change the pecking order of teams too much. Lets say Honda has 86 power rating, it could go up to 88, and maybe some other supplier could go down a notch or two, based on how the engine supplier teams perform relative to the expectation of the rating of the engine supplier.

    Xbox patch 1.02 My team confusion

    I started my team at early-release with 1.01 version, on 7th of july. The car was pretty awful, especially front downforce was very bad, as the car was like a truck on corners and did not want to turn. I thought ok, the car is **** and we need to upgrade it. I started upgrades, and all the upgrades were showing only minor progress in the performance screen against other teams. Then the 1.02 patch came, and the performance of my team skyrocketed to mid tier. I thought it was a bug and was very confused, I also had the team acclaim dropping after every sessions for reason, except after season ended and it got higher (I just simulated races, because I did not want to make an effort in my team with bugs and stuff). I started my team again, and to my surprise, the car was a lot better bare bone as in patch 1.01. Some people speculated that downforce has been increased is in some patch (no clarity on which one). The downforce is so good, and maybe the handling is easier than in 2019, that I have increased difficulty from 90 to 105. I think the difficulty in race is fine, as I finish p12-p16, but I can't complete the qualifying challenge in practice program, this is fine I guess, but all other practice programs are achievable. Upgrades give a lot more rating in the performance rating screen against other teams, as in 1.01. In 1.01 the upgrades only gave a really small boost, as in 1.02 the boost from just a minor upgrade is a lot more in overall performance, in performance screen. Also the car is a lot better from the start, atleast downforce wise. In 1.01 the car would not turn, and straight line speed was ****, whereas in 1.02 its a lot closer to alfa tauri and alfa romeo and more manageable in the corners. When I re-started my team, the car was better in performance than williams and haas, and quite close to alfa romeo. I wanted to make this post, so that it would give some clarity with the current situation on xbox. I suggest to start my team again, to get some more clear understanding of the performance of the car. In 1.01 I thought it would be a longer road to midfield (which was actually quite nice) than in 1.02. I simmed my first my team career to next season, and it was disappointing to see, all the engine manufacturers were 100 on performance and durability, except honda, which was 96 on both. I was hoping it would randomize the performance in some way, or possibly reset the upgrades, so that it would the baseline + whatever upgrades you invested in the engine department. Now it did not make any sense to pay more for merc or ferrari, as renault and honda were cheaper with the same stats, or very close.

    Engine sound problem

    I have the same issue with Xbox 1.02. Had renault engine and changed to honda, but the engine has still sounds of an renault engine.
  4. 1. A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. After patching from 1.01 to 1.02, the performance rating of my team skyrocketed. Before patch, my team was second/third last in overall performance, engine performance was midtier - top3. After patch, I got free major downforce upgrade, which skyrocketed my aero performance to top3, the real performance of the car did not get so good in my opinion, also engine performance went to being 1st. Chassis department did not gain any upgrades, but performance rating went from last to middle of the pack. The aero upgrade I got, would have not raised me to top3 teams in patch 1.01, I would have gained maybe one place in the ratings, and aero performance would have raised only a little bit. Now the expectations for quali and race are too high, for the real pace of the car. EDIT: I did opt to update the new performance ratings of other teams to existing My team save Also, team acclaim is going down, even though I was performing well in race/quali. 2. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.02 3. Game-mode? My team 4. What are your replication numbers? I tried to open my team 3 times to see if there was any change, and I did one race to see if it would change the ratings, but no success. 5. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue See above I think what might have happened, is that patch 1.02 lowered other teams like Haas, alfa romeo and ferrari, and my aero/engine/chassis did not scale accordingly with the performance changes to other teams, which made my car performance rating "too good". 6. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) Razer wolverine ultimate controller for xbox 7. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears. No screenshots, and I dont have any recordings of the team performance level before patch 1.02
