with developers The split screen mode is not working
AyushShukla27 replied to RamboDoBrasil's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
I hope so @RamboDoBrasil !! But this means otherwise, P.S. I checked and the tag was changed to "with devs" before @BarryBL sent this post. I guess we'll have to keep trying, sooner or later we'll get to play the split screen mode, fingers crossed 🙂 -
Split Screen or Virtual Mirror - Which one is responsible for this HUGE graphics downgrade?
Furbii replied to viniciusrsouza's topic in F1 Chat
Split Screen requires the game to render twice, and the PS4 is a really poor machine. Game doesn't look worse than 2019. -
Split Screen or Virtual Mirror - Which one is responsible for this HUGE graphics downgrade?
BarryBL replied to viniciusrsouza's topic in F1 Chat
@viniciusrsouza, no offence, then please provide evidence to prove it. Complete and log bug reports with comparisons and video and we can investigate. Saying 'its bad' doesn't help. Split Screen is designed to run at 30 FPS, that is the only different. -
Split Screen or Virtual Mirror - Which one is responsible for this HUGE graphics downgrade?
BelgiumDude replied to viniciusrsouza's topic in F1 Chat
If it is because of the virtual mirror then it's my fault. I wanted a virtual mirror and I'm using it. I'm also glad with split screen So if what you are saying is correct, because I haven't noticed a HUGE downgrade in graphics quality on the PS4 Pro, I can only applaud the decision of Codemasters as in my opinion only 1% would notice the difference -
Since "codemasters" are adding split screen in F1 2020, will there be an option to play with a friend via "steam remote play"? If not, I think it would be a good idea to spend time in this way also with friends, not just with family.
-
I have noticed the surroundings of the track have definitely been downgraded. The tower in Bahrain is quite hideous now in fact. I would say the cars look slightly better but the environments, shadows and reflections as you say aren’t as good as they have been. It’s a shame really. I won’t even venture into split screen and if that’s the reason we’ve had these downgrades I’d rather not have it included to be honest.

They added split screen so they had to reduce the graphics to get it running like it should.

do you mean remote play toghether so people from multiple pc's can play together on split screen games?

Grid 2019 Split-screen is missing - no info from developers - game is missing feature
voodoo17111 replied to voodoo17111's topic in Technical Assistance
Thx, last hope lies with nucleuscoop, maybe some day...not trying to start a war, but it's a good thing we have these types of options on pc, we can hustle a split screen mode if we have to. Nevertheless it's a embarrassment, shame on you Codemasters, don't advertise if you're not going to deliver. -
GRID 2019 - When is Split Screen Coming?
mcfc4heatons replied to mcfc4heatons's topic in General Discussion
For the record, I still think GRID 2019 is a really fun game, I love driving the MINIs, braking really late & flinging them round corners or sometimes setting damage to visual & driving like a maniac, the nemesis feature is cool too. Split screen with friends & family would be so much fun with this game. The big issue was/is no split screen after seemingly it was promised. All the geeks keep telling us splitscreen is thing of the past, thats a problem to me & sends the wrong message to young people. Project Cars is not a replacement for GRID, never will be. -
GRID 2019 - When is Split Screen Coming?
voodoo17111 replied to mcfc4heatons's topic in General Discussion
Hi, i would also like to know when is split screen coming, it is "advertised" as a factor for buying this game so it should be delivered. Hope that more people register and posts a comment like i did, maybe this way we can push the developer to deliver any information as it's been a month and no comments from their side... It's been 6 months and no split screen, say something, current multiplayer is ... lacking in certain aspects, and it's not about the fact that people are not playing it, it's abut that there doesn't seem to be much do there and that makes people leave this title. -
I’m half expecting that with the driver ratings being released and the reveal of split screen last week, we should be due something either this week or early next week (as we are 3 weeks away from the games release I think the later option will be more likely)

Hey! Barry doesn't even work in a studio that develops GRID and so on. The Birmingham guys have almost exclusively worked on F1 games (+ F1 spinoffs) since they were acquired by Codemasters. Split screen was said to be in works for GRID ages ago, though I don't know if this will come out as GRID 2019 would then be the first EGO 3 game to have split screen as an option 😕

If they can get this working as a MP feature, yeah the option of playing in MP and having your teammate in split screen, whereas others in the session would be able to choose full screen mode would be great. After all, an online session should just contain the same amount of data exchange, just requires a bit more beef on the processing side for splitscreen. Or a reduction in detail as obviously the resolution drops by half in one dimension. But it's different to processing two displays. Or, even more killer, team mate in secondary monitor?

Sorry, but I can't take Uncle Noly seriously as a cold, calculated veteran. I'm also immediately highly suspicious of this career mode if we need voice actors with "personalities." It's possible it won't be terrible, but it's pretty much always been terrible every time it's been tried before. I'm also not a big fan of the loud, brash, and obnoxious Donut media, so I hope all the chatter is kept to a minimum. And why the actual hell SLAPTrain? People hated the fact that other actual drivers talk to you in Dirt 2, I don't know why they would receive this any better. The split screen and co-op seem cool though. Will there be anything explaining what the race types are?

F1 2020 - Wishlist/ideas/hopes/suggestions for the future F1 Game(s)
symbiotesidd replied to Mobcat94's topic in General Discussion
Let us be able to use our customised car in MyTeam in Multiplayer split screen because if cant then it wont be fun as we cant use the customised car when racing with our friends so try to make this option available to us Include Real TV graphics and animations like how we see in tv Add press conference interviews with other f1 and f2 drivers Option to read the news about our MyTeam career which includes the car, the team, the sponsors and the drivers More post match and pre match animations to increase the fun and excitement Allowing us to customise our teammate in MyTeam in case we ran out of money or none of the current F1 and F2 drivers are willing to drive for our team Richer graphics Allowing us to create our crew member outfits too Creating and editing maps Hearing the sounds of the starting lights to increase the excitement and the feeling that we are in a real F1 race Letting us type any name for our MyTeam team name that we feel like we wanna use when racing and feeling proud that we are in the team and not use pre existing names which will decrease the excitement and the motivation for us players as we will feel like are racing for someone else's team and not ours -
They said that weeks ago already that they wouldn't add split screen.
-
Yes and false promises of GRID 2019 split screen - it looks like that will never happen now - it seems we were all sold GRID 2019 on false pretences.
-
I'm guessing no split screen?
-
Well, still split screen I guess (Sorry, I'm Hungarian that's why the game is in Hungarian 😄 )
-
Singleplayer, multiplayer and split screen
-
I'd guess they've had to optimise some assets to get split screen running at an acceptable speed.
-
the beta will probably consist of 4-5 tracks the multiplayer car and a grand prix mode and online mode and ofc split screen or that's how its been for the last two years atleast I doubt there will be a major difference between the first week of beta and the YouTuber content that we are seeing maybe in the later stages of the beta we will start seeing new types of content that the you tubers haven't had access to.

I was a little bit sceptical as well when I first saw the footage on YouTube, despite looking practically the same as F1 2019 some aspects looked like a little bit of a downgrade. That said I was trying to say to myself that it was down to the YouTube compression and when we actually play the game for ourselves it will probably look a lot better and more comparable to last years game. Not too sure what it is but some of the lighting looks a little bit off in the footage on YouTube, making the cars look a little out of place compared to the track. Although it is still “work in progress” so I guess a lot of the finer touches can be added when they update the cars to the final models. That patch of missing trees is a bit of a strange one though, maybe there is something going on there like you say to compensate for the games performance and requiring more power for features like split screen and the rear mirror. Maybe Codemasters can confirm and clarify if it’s intended to be like that or if it was something that was missed unintentionally and could be corrected closer to the games release.

Hopefully that's just present in the early build and they will fix it. I could understand downgrading the scenery a bit when playing split screen but otherwise it should be looking as it is supposed to, at least looking like in F1 2019.
