Buscetta replied to Nuvolarix's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
Yeah if end the session and then i restart i see in the garage that the leaderboard is empty. There's also the problem that, at this point, i cannot return to the main menu of the game because keep loading the screen with written "communicating with online services". However, my NAT is 2 and i'm linked via LAN with the wireless modem. I have 30 Mbps (download) and 5 Mbps (upload). -
with developers race highlights (& replay) broken!
Nuvolarix posted a topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. Today for the first time I had an issue with the race "highlights" (China GP season 2): no cars are shown at all, the bar at the bottom stops after a while and the movie continues. After 4-5 minutes the music stops but then it restarts after few seconds, while the screen is blocked there, after 10 minutes still there. Then I stopped. My video is cut after 1-1:30 mins. Different problem for the "replay" but bugged too, look at the other video below. [MULTIPLAYER] Bug report: multiple SC glitches in league race
EatB4UDrive posted a topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
We had a league race at Monza, Italy. It involves in two distinct SC glitches. Platform PC What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.12 Game-mode? Multiplayer, unranked, Monza We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? Unsure how to reproduce. The only hint I have is that we have 3 consecutive safety cars. It might or might not factor into this. How do you make the problem happen? Glitch 1: System instructing two players conflicting "give position back" instruction. Racer A is behind racer B under SC. Racer A brakes late, overtook racer B momentarily and gave back position in a flip second (I think this is the key). Then the system told racer B to give position back to A. When B did so, the system told A to give position back to B. So on and so on. It ended with a chaos. Glitch 2: Telling drivers to overtake SC but badge shows follow SC In the same race, when we had the third SC and followed behind SC, the system audio told me to overtake SC while the top badge showed "stay behind SC". What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue Nothing appeared to help resolving the issue. It was too random. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) Wheel. Appears to be controller-independent. Any screenshots or video of the issue? Hi there I have always loved F1 and have been playing F1 games for as long as I can remember, I just have a few things I would like to see in upcoming F1 games. Tyre usage, giving you the ability to be able to save tyres and use tyres at will, not be locked out of your tyre usage. Example, you can use an un-used set of tyres that you saved from practice and take them into qualifying or in the race in career, Grand Prix, leagues or online, etc The ability to pick or have a teammate in multiplayer cars in unranked, ranked lobbies or leagues The ability to choose how many drivers you want to have on the grid. Say you run a multiplayer car league, you can set more than 20 drivers on the grid. If you use F1 teams then you are limited to only 20 drivers More focus on the league system, having the ability to set stewards in the race, who can manually overrule or hand out penalties during the race. Potentially the in game stewards could be able to have access to a camera angle or on their screens which has every racers individual screen on it (Not sure how feasible or possible this may be but just an idea). Reserve driver selection needs to be improved particularly when you go to set reserve drivers. When you invite a player to take over as a reserve driver you can select from the list of drivers registered to the league on who they will be replacing for that race. Multiplayer car can be used in Grand Prix mode. In the editor menu you can select a team mate not currently with a current F1 team and then race your car. Performance can be edited in the editor menu. Also to be able to select what engine you would use. For Grand Prix mode this would make an extra team on the grid if you do not wish to just play my team Tyre heating and performance, making the drivers have to work to keep the tyres in the right window as they can be affected by track temperature, air temperature and whether much more than currently like in the real world of racing. Even locking up can flat spot the tyres, a bad enough lock up might force the driver to have to pit in for a new set. Esport racing is much more similar then any other esport series. There should be more emphasis and push that an esport racer or a everyday racer could jump into a proper formula car and have some knowledge of how the car and tyres work and feels. This giving esport drivers the chance to make it into the real world of racing. Potential to have a simulation specific game mode. This could be the addition of either a new game mode added with causal, standard and then simulation. This would also make the game a much bigger file size but would create a more realistic driving emersion. This plays into point number 6. Potential to run practice programs from career in unranked/league practice sessions. Giving the drivers the same information in practice programmes for unfranked / league races that they would have in career mode, which they can see in qualifying and race which will allow them to make a more informed decision. Safety car updates. Allow the back markers to pass the safety car and catch up to the field rather than being in the way. The safety car will need to wait for the drivers unlapping themselves to join the back of the field. Could have a specific time or lap number that back markers have to catch back up. Revised damage model. Being able to damage the floor, barge boards, or the rear wings when making contact rather than just only the front wing. This could be a sliding scale on how much you would allow the car to be able to be damaged such as regular, full or simulation damage More filters in unranked lobbies. Tracks, laps, practice, qualifying, damage etc Filter system in Car Setups. This will allow you to set many different variations in set ups at anytime and then easily be able to find them by filtering by tracks for you setup rather than scrolling down through many setups before you find the one you want. More in depth capabilities for 'Spectators' when viewing or running unranked lobbies or leagues. Adding extra depth into how the spectator can change between drivers, tyre usage, timing sectors etc. This could be done by potentially being able to map certain buttons on controllers or keyboards so that you can quick change rather than surfing through the driver board or the main index. Extra camera angles in spectator mode. Only having the two angles in which you can choose does limit how the spectator can view a particular battle or scene. Being able to make use of all the camera angles in single player replays will give the spectator/viewer a wider variety to choose from. Lastly, track limits. You should be able to use as much of the track as F1 drivers are allowed to use. Eg, Austria, the drivers are able use all of the curbs so long as they have a tyre on the curb. This will need to vary from track to track but using the same track limits as what the drivers were able to use from the past season will improve the drivers overall speed

I'm having more and more often an issue when the screen is tilted to the side from the start so I either crash right away to the wall or it's extremely hard to steer properly and sometimes it resolves itself half way through the race. the game is now unplayable as a result, I'm using S20+ and in other games I dont have this issue at all.

I checked some qualifying sessions I did a few days ago. Below details: A detailed description of the issue. Just before crossing the finish line I have -0.536 advantage: The lap instead ends with an advantage of -0.546: At the end of the qualifying session, I did another lap. The lap starts with +0.022 despite the fact that at the end of the straight I finish with +0.010, therefore better than the previous lap and therefore it is impossible, I should be ahead of my time. At the end of the lap they are +0.082 behind, but the lap ends with +0.058 behind. Platform PS4 What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.12 Ranked/Unranked/Leagues Unranked. Wired or Wireless Connection? Wired. The amount of players in your session? 17. Were you the host? No. Did this issue happens for everyone in the session, just some people or just yourself? What did they see? I only checked this aspect, in the next lobbies I will also check the others. We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? Yes, the problem is recurring and it happens to me in all lobbies. How do you make the problem happen? I haven't found a solution at the moment. Can you add a report code. How to find this is in Main Menu > Game Options > Settings > 16 digit code in the bottom left of the screen. Please make sure that this is the code from the session you had the issue in. A detailed description of the issue. I found two problems: 1. Delta not equal to zero at the start of the lap. 2. Improvement or worsening of the lap not corresponding to the delta shown. Below details: Just before finishing the lap I had the Delta exactly equal to 0. But once I finished the lap he told me that I had improved the time by 0.031. I checked at the start of the lap and saw that the first delta was equal to +0.014, which is impossible as I had just crossed the finish line and the delta went down. In fact in turn 1 I had +0.009. I thought it was a compensation between the extra delta given at the start of the lap, but the accounts don't add up. I also noticed that on the previous lap the same problem occurred, namely that just before the lap was finished the delta was at -0.124, while the lap was improved by -0.140. [Social] [Multiplayer] Full course yellow following SC going in
QmanXV posted a topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
A detailed description of the issue. Several issues here with the major one in the heading. At race start in Monza T1 safety car was launched. On passing a ghosting car was told to give position back only to find that car has disappeared and it then re-appears in the standings in P4... The major issue here is that when the SC went back in the full course yellow remained and people were unable to pass. Session was abandoned. This is the second time we've had a full grid and SC issues destroyed the race. Platform - PS4 What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) : 1.12 Ranked/Unranked/Leagues - Unranked lobby - Invite only - 25% race with custom grid as during the previous lobby OSQ one of the cars was just going round and round at 0.01 session time left. Ghosting ON and all telemetry is set to public Wired or Wireless Connection? Wired The amount of players in your session? 20 Were you the host? Yes Did this issue happens for everyone in the session, just some people or just yourself? What did they see? Happened for all, they saw the SC come out, several cars ghosting, those that did not retire due to crashed cars followed the SC for a few laps. SC went in, everyone saw full course yellows, those that chose to ignore it got DQ as per the rules. Eventually got everyone to quit the lobby and restarted the race with SC off. We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? I don't know, probably I guess but that would mean 20 people would have to give up their time. In addition to the time we've already given, as well as the time I am giving now I really hope the least you guys will do with this is investigate it and sort it out as best you can. Incidently everyone's telemetry in this group was public and there How do you make the problem happen? Honestly don't know. Can you add a report code. How to find this is in Main Menu > Game Options > Settings > 16 digit code in the bottom left of the screen. Please make sure that this is the code from the session you had the issue in. Adding report codes from as many users in your session as possible would be really helpful here. The code can be seen in the attached video. Video of the issue, including timestamps. Was driving cockpit now tvpodI did some testing and my times and races pretty equal between the 2. Tvpod to me is a bit more aesthetically pleasing and I like the wheel to wheel battles viewing. However I no longer use the proximity arrows I depend on the virtual rear view and the small side mirrors only. Adjusted view so I can see the side mirrors at bottom of screen No mini map or driver tags since the driver tags are a bit of a cheat in rain. No assists

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games
FlatOverCrest replied to MastaVonBlasta's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
It seems like no matter what, we will get at least one more rally focused, sim title from Codemasters before anyone even has an opportunity to mess that up. I couldn't be more excited if that is indeed the case. I will definitely be disappointed if the Dirt Rally and future CM WRC titles get watered down and adopt a more arcade handling model with some type of Forza Horizon festival type atmosphere. I like the FH games but don't want to see Dirt Rally and CM WRC games adopt that style/tone. I feel like Codemasters has already made it clear how they feel about this which is why they publicly declared a split between the numbered Dirt and Dirt Rally teams. I like arcade and sims (Dirt and Dirt Rally) but I feel like they should remain separate in at least their tone. I do wish the numbered Dirt still had rally stages like Dirt 2 and Dirt 3 did. I would have liked rally to be present in Dirt 5 and the inevitable future Dirt Rally and CM WRC titles. I guess I want my sims to be more serious in tone and closer to reality and I want my arcade games more fun focused but not necessarily eliminating any racing discipline from either franchise. I want rally in Dirt and Dirt Rally games and would enjoy them equally for different reasons. The moment that you make them all sims or all arcade, you lose a good portion of what makes them special to different people. Also, it seems rather difficult for many people (myself included) to define what a sim is versus an arcade or simcade game. I guess I want Dirt Rally and CM WRC games to feel like they have a more realistic handling model even if that isn't really real. At the end of the day, I play games to have fun and for the challenge and I know they are just games. If Codemasters combines future Dirt Rally and WRC content into one title then I think we will get less rally content overall since it has been removed from the Dirt series. If they continue making Dirt Rally titles while also making WRC titles then I will be very satisfied if they are more sim focused and feature a large number of unique stage miles with great physics and controller handling. I would be delighted to see stage rally return to numbered Dirt games though. Give me all the great rally I can get whether that's in Dirt, Dirt Rally or CM WRC titles. -
So I have raced pretty much every game since 2010. I have a lot of experience with this franchise now. I race on 103 difficulty on a controller 👀 100% race distance. I didn't expect it to be this long.. However: Firstly. A better way of seeing tire and fuel usage in the race (option to turn on or off in-game). I know you can see your fuel and tyre wear in the race, but hear me out. For those who complete the race tire and race strategy modes in practice. You get a percentage per lap, and fuel in Kg on each lap. It appears under your lap time on the top right side of the screen. For example. I've just completed the French GP. In the tyre wear management programme in practice, my target was 2.59% wear per lap on the mediums. I achieved 2.29%. Then when you do the race strategy programme, I aim for below 2.59% as a target so I know the tires will last the whole stint. As you get told you tire wear usage after every lap. When it comes to the race, the only tire wear you see is the total wear for each tire. So say I'm 15 laps in to a 19 lap stint. It is difficult to work out the mental maths required to see if I've saved enough grip to be able to push towards the end of the stint. Or if I've pushed too hard at the start. It would be really useful if on the screen, after 15 laps it tells me my average is 2.48% for example. So I know I could push harder before my pitstop. Secondly. During a race. Display more than 5 drivers around your position. (option to customise in-game). At the moment, you only see the time gap for two cars ahead, and two cars behind you. I'm not really sure why it isn't possible to show pretty much the whole grid. In spectator mode online, you see the whole lobby. Implement it into the career. That way you can see rival drivers strategies, what tire they're on etc. Make it look a bit more like the real broadcast. You could make it customisable. so for those who like it currently could keep it. Maybe display rival positions? Thirdly. Practice sessions. For me, It's still somewhat not really helpful for a lot of players. Including myself. For those who do long race weekends. It is well known in the real world that all the drivers will do a quali sim in P3. This never seems to happen in-game. When I do my Quali sim, I always end up finishing the session in the top 3. When my car is currently 10th out of 11 teams. It is almost as if the other drivers just circulate, but for the sake of circulating. They have no purpose. Also with the set-up of the car itself. The majority of the people who play are not engineers. Yes, you can load other peoples setup from TT. Having a race mechanic/engineer in game that helps you improve the setup of the car through the weekend would feel a lot more realistic. I had F1 2005? on PSP; and this is something they tried to implement in the game. By comparing lap times and making set-up adjustments to improve the car. Maybe you're slow in the straights compared to your team-mate? So it advises removing rear wing for example. Fourthly. Driver Rating. I don't have an issue with the driver ratings as such. However when you compare them to other games like FiFA. the ratings are far more in-depth and play a much bigger role. I feel the Driver ratings need to be expanded into more categories that make more of a difference. If a driver has had a good run of results like Gasly lately. It would be fair to say they have higher motivation, and thus be performing better. Compared to Vettel say, who seems very down about the way Ferrari treated him etc. and is finishing a long way behind his team-mate. Finally. Reliability. R&D. I'm sure this has probably come up before. The reliability at the start of any career is horrendously unrealistic. I understand it is to make you choose between keeping up with competition and not breaking down/taking penalties. Instead, why not reduce the effect durability has. From my understanding, once a part reaches 60% wear, you start to loose performance. Why not have a scale where after 10% you loose performance. but on a much more gradual scale. Giving you a delta of time loss per lap in the Power Unit screen. As a loose example. At 10% you loose 1/10th per lap. 50% you loose 5/10ths per lap. But once you hit 60%, the delta increase at a much quicker rate. so at 70% wear, you loose 1 second? The durability upgrades would then serve a better purpose. If your engine is wearing at a lower rate. Your overall race time would be quicker. Also, make the R&D tree vastly bigger. But reduce the performance of minor upgrades etc. Also add how much time is to gain for each upgrade. For example. A big engine upgrade might give you 3/10ths per lap. But improving you fuel efficiency improves your race time, not single lap time. so say 15 seconds per race. You could make better, informed choices about what upgrade/s you want to buy and save for next. If you made it this far down thank you! All of this I've accumulated from playing the games for so long, and I would feel make a great, positive difference to the career. I look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on this, and other ideas! Adam J Dore

This new error came up once today amidst countless CP7 errors. The error happened near the end of my league qualifying lap. Playstation 4 1.12 Unranked Wired 20 players/ 1 spectator I was not the host There may have been one more player with the same but myself for sure The problem may be able to be recreated I can make the error happen by simply playing F1 2020 online. I shut my console down before getting that code. The code on the screen right now is BBJJ-ETRD-CBBP-AASC 2:52 I believe

But not really. This isn't the CM thread for D5, it's just a discussion within the DR2 community. So it is, but really it isn't. Discord is the right thread for D5. I highly doubt that. This thread is 16 pages, and at least 5 are just me arguing about the fact that it is, but actually isn't. It's not exactly booming. And as per my past argument, previously we talked about "Dirt 4" before DR1, then DR1, then actually D4, then DR2 all in one thread. Why it's being split now is odd especially considering DR2 gossip is frankly dead. It was consolidated before. By having a dedicated D5 thread it's more likely to make people think it's actually for D5 and not the DR2 community.

I feel a bit scammed on my current purchase of Dirt 5. Back in June, RK from Codemasters declared in an online interview that Dirt 5 indeed would have wheel support and I had no reason to doubt that and did not research the game prior to purchase. I played Dirt 4 with my G29 wheel and was really looking forward to a more advanced quality game expected in 2020 and an extension of Dirt 4 similar to WRC 8 to WRC 9. There is zero realism going from a wheel back to a controller or keyboard. Again, looking back the past few weeks, I see that the promoters for the game were very careful to tout immersive experience and driving controls but intentionally removed any notion of a wheel support option. I can only hope Codemasters does the right thing and deliver their word on wheel support for this potentially great game. Never seen a title go backwards in technology just to paint a prettier picture on screen. Note: I also purchased on discount from Green Man Gaming and cannot have refund even though never played a frame so am hoping again that wheel support will be added sometime soon so can enjoy this game like the rest of my racing titles that support wheels. (Dirt 4, NFS Heat,Dirt Rally 2.0, WRC 8, WRC 9, F1 2020 ,F1 2019,etc...) Thanks
