No just on the location and the stage My I ask, is That for The "Mystery" in location screen :)?

    Does not work full screen

If you are on Win7 than follow these steps:1) Start menu 2) Click "Documents" on right hand side 3) My Games 4) Than open a folder that says something like F1 20145) Right click on one of the two files that say configuration on the end 6) Open it with Notepad7) Scroll to the right until you find where it says full screen (tip: if will be in the first row)8) Change where it says false to true 9) Exit and save10) Enter the game and it should be in full screen and you will probably need to change resolution in settings

    The Game Thread!

My screen protector finally arrived for my Nintendo Switch, still annoyed that I didn't buy one before using it. But at least the scratch isn't  noticeable in most situations while playing. Seriously bad design from Nintendo with the dock, especially as a lot of kids will own one.

F1 2015 Game Ideas and Suggestions

These are some of the things I'd like to see in F1 2015: 1. Better AI - The AI, although a little improved for 2014, are still incredibly poor. They seldom overtake, are too slow on the opening lap and make strange decisions under braking when you're in close proximity. 2. More Immersive Career Mode - Career mode is generally my favourite game mode on any game that I own where the option is available, yet this cannot be said of CM's recent F1 games. It is so bland, uninspiring and I don't feel the temptation to go and play it any time soon. Some good ideas have been suggested such as bringing back the interviews (Why were these taken out in the first place?), and maybe having more focus on the team rather than just driving for yourself. 3. Implement a Pre-Season Test - I personally would have found this really useful if it was in F1 2014 because the handling was so much different and I would have been able to drive for the team I'd just signed for, for as many laps as I needed to feel comfortable. There could be some objectives put in here, but even a 'free run' style mode would be good. 4. Better R&D Objectives - The current ones are terrible. They are too easy and how on earth can a single lap be considered reliable data? 5. Bring Back FP1 & FP2 - If FP3 is wet, you get no dry running. Again, these sessions were optional in 2010-2012 so why were they taken out? Could be used for multiple R&D objectives and fine tuning the setup. 6. Better/More Advanced Setups - 5 games in and CM are still using exactly the same setup screen but even then, the changes which are made to the setup have never been consistent across all the games. I'm not asking for a sim style setup screen, just something which allows for a bit more precision. I'd also like to see the default settings remain consistent across all circuits - At the moment, 6/6 wings at Monaco is not the same as 6/6 wings at Monza, for example. This really frustrates me. 7. Better Menus and Career Hub - This is probably more a subjective view, but I find the menus incredibly bland and not very interesting. The Career Mode hub is also really basic. The emails you receive aren't interesting because they are basically repetitions and the circuit information emails do not provide much information about the circuit. Perhaps a suggested setup path could be attached to the email. Also why must my NAME always be written in capitals? It stands out and looks poor. In the standings section, perhaps when you click on a driver you can see their results across the season, and even give them a profile to read their stats. 8. More than 1 Career Save - I would like to see multiple career mode saves possible. I don't like that you have to have a single career mode because it is very restrictive. 9. A More Intelligent Race Engineer - After 5 years of programming and this guy still lacks basic intelligence? Telling me I was very slow on the last lap when I'd just made a pitstop is kind of expected. Tell me something I don't know and might need to know, for example the gap to the cars I'm racing. 10. More In Car Controls - Having things like a differential setting would be very cool as it would give more flexibility to the driver. CM shouldn't leave it out because the word differential looks scary to F1 newcomers, instead they should embrace the technicalities, since F1 is technical, and put a tutorial (Maybe in the pre-season test?) to demonstrate how it works. For each circuit, details of what differential, what brake bias etc could be put inside the circuit guide placed in the career mode emails I was talking about earlier. I'll be amazed if any of these things actually make it into F1 2015 because most of them have been asked for from F1 2011 onwards. I could have mentioned other things too like a formation lap, podium etc but these 10 things are my most wanted features. Even if one of them does get into 2015, I imagine CM will take it out for F1 2016 anyway. The only ground-breaking thing I can really think of CM putting in which was asked for by the community is the safety car.

I've tried a bunch of stuff with my rig, and the technique I posted works best for me so far. I assure you, there's no perceptible input lag. There may technically be *some,* but I can't feel it, even in shooters. I'll try what you guys suggested though. I think I remember trying it a while ago and it made things worse, but I'm not sure, I'll give it another go. @RyuMakkuro I won't be switching GPUs any time soon. I'm specifically looking at 27" 1080p IPS monitors, I'd like to keep it around $150-170 so Gsync is purely a luxury. IPS is the main thing I can't do without. I don't think there are any Gsync IPS monitors that fit my criteria unfortunately, but like I said, it's just a luxury. I've got some 24" Acers that are IPS and thin bezel for $130. Pretty sure they have the same style in 27 or so. At your price range IPS will be 60hz max... (BTW, if you plan on going triple screen, thin bezels are AWESOME. Two side by side has a thinner bezel than your typical monitor.) Thanks for the info, I'll look into it. My desk is too small to fit triple screens. Thin bezel would be nice though, it would make it easier to fit my existing monitor next to it. It'll probably end up hanging off the edge and looking goofy, but whatever. I'm okay with 60hz, I don't have the hardware for higher framerates and I'd rather save the money.

Don't worry. I use Dxtory to limit FPS and I limit it to 2FPS more than my refresh rate. That for whatever reason drastically reduces screen tearing. Not sure if that just somehow naturally syncs the FPS with the refresh rate or what, but it does wonders. Any form of V-Sync will add input lag even if you use external limiters. If you do use external limiters, turn off V-Sync completely. G-Sync and Freesync are a different story though. They just make each frame perfectly synced with your FPS amount and it adds a lot to perceived smoothness (but it adds a tiny bit of input lag). Freesync is cheaper but you also have to watch out for the monitors, cause it's panel dependent, unlike G-Sync. And given that you do have a 970, G-Sync sounds like the best option. Unless you'll be changing to AMD with the Vega launch.

I run a Freesync setup on a 1440p screen, works very nicely. Only thing is when frame rate goes below maybe 25 or over the 144 MHz max (144 fps), it's not so smooth.

@KickUp If is possible, please, implement this. I know i can use third-party programs to achieve this, but most of the times i just put v-sync ON, to lock frame rate ( even if i don't suffer of screen tearing ), and it is know that v-sync can produce some input lag. Having input lag on a Racing/Sim game, is a no no...

Also as it's running the same stock Android as my Nexus 9, your battery indicator in the top right is just a little battery right? Download an app named Percent Enabler and it'll add some tiny numbers onto the battery icon to give you a proper reading :) And you should have a feature that lets you double tap the screen to wake up the phone, I highly recommend enabling it and giving it a go. I use it way more often than the power button on both my tablet and phone. It's just way faster.

You won't be disappointed when you finally play Zelda. The Switch has come at the right time for me, as I have to take my Bro to some work awards ceremony. It's a few hours drive, so I'll be waiting in the car for a while. So at least I can play the Switch, I already have a portable charger if needed, but I need a USB type-c, because the one it comes with is hard wired into the plug. The IPS screen is awesome though, although it's only 720p it still looks great  :) Also this is a nice touch from Nintendo in the pro controller  https://www.neowin.net/news/nintendo-hides-a-small-message-to-fans-inside-the-switch-pro-controller

I think MadMaxx by patches means the hardware x264 encoder's "Motion Detection" failing and it usually takes above 15mbit to make it not show up in recordings. The highest resolution my R9 280X can record a 2000 Kbit video at is 854x480 without blurring, mostly. :D 720P for me would need like 10 000 kbits already, and even that's only if i use a cockpit cam, where a part of the screen is static, unlike Chase cam which is straight up impossible. Always noticeably higher than what software x264 would need for most hardware encoding options.  Also, what AMD / DR Bug? I've been partially out of the loop on AMD bugs.

    The Game Thread!

Had the same problem with the 360, think we went through 3 of them in the space of 2 years before getting fed up of it and buying a PS3. If I didn't have so many X1 games I'd probably do the same as I already have a PS4.... They use a really cheap bearing in the fan, yet say it can be on for 10 years non stop. I'll probably ring Shopto tomorrow, as I know they will change it as its the same problam as last time. Never understand why consoles don't use good fans that last a long time as you can't change it, they should have an opening so you can change it yourself. It's going to take bloody ages to set it all up again, when really all it needs is a new fan :( Should've stuck to PC. Yeah the only problem I have with mine is my screen flickers and sometimes the sound cuts out for a few seconds when using it but generally aside from that mine is fine but I assume that's something to do with screen refresh rate not too sure. I've tried playing around with the settings but no luck yet.

Loving it so far. It's great not having loading screens, Zelda literally starts right away. The tablet feels and looks nice. The controller is slightly weird, but switching between modes is very fast. Once you place the tablet in the dock it takes less than a second to Switch to TV mode.  First I played it on the TV Edit: I just realised there's a screen capture button on the controller, but the first picture is from my phone. Neat little things I'm still learning  :) Then I wanted a cup of tea, so I played it in tablet mode in the kitchen waiting for my tea to brew.  The tablet has a tiny fan inside which I didn't know about, it's silent though and pushes heat through a vent at the top.

F1 2015 Game Ideas and Suggestions

I would like the F1 2015 game to inform the pilots, on screen, when a driver has retired or is in the pit. Grand Prix 4 had this feature and I found that very usefull. So, the information could appear at the top of the screen saying that Felipe Massa has retired or Niko Rosberg has a puncture and must come to the pit. Of course, the engineer could continue telling us when our teammate is in the pit. We only know at the end of the game if a car has retired when looking at the number of cars on the finish board.

You could get a cheap USB gamepad and make some kind of lever mechanism which depresses one of the buttons (or make a custom one using a micro switch and soldering that to one of the existing buttons of the gamepad). You would basically be using that gamepad as the brains of the handbrake, so you wouldn't need to program anything, the PC would just see the gamepad, so everything should work just fine. That would require some craftsmanship though :D  I wanted to do something like this, just haven't gotten around to do it. It's H-shifter in the video. With a handbrake you would be using just one button instead of many and the mechanism would be a bit different, but the principle remains the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEJT4V1UzZ4 Before I sold my Obutto/Triple screen setup I used my TH8 as my handbrake for RBR (before DR came out).  It worked great!  But I gave up on sim racing for awhile because there seemed to be no rally simulator ever  coming out again and circuit racing just doesn't do it for me anymore like it used to. Then Dirt Rally came out of absolutely nowhere, luckily I saved my Clubsport wheel/pedals and a basic wheel stand just in case.  Rally sim + wheel setup is just the absolute best.  I can't believe @RallyDriven just now got one!  I have seen you posting here for a long time.  Btw I now use a button for handbrake, it takes a little to get used to but you'll get it! Well I don't really have a lot of room for a wheel, and I still don't really! I'm not really sat in the best position, back of my chair is up against the foot of my bed and pedals are against the wall! It's ok, but I'd prefer to be sat a bit more spread out and in a proper seat! And I have been around for quite a while now! Been on this thread since the first page, and I was in the old forums since before the release of dirt 3, but I had a different username!

    GAS Freezing

Mine was playing perfectly until the last 2 Nvidia driver updates the last one being 344.65 I think, they just don't seem to like my PC although my mate has a similar set up to mine and the same GPU and he had the flickering glass and black pop up grass, he also suffered the black screen issues but his and mine were mainly on booting up the game and entering online then black screen, the lock ups were from him changing the club livery which has not been changed until 2 days ago (same livery for over 2 months), that is when the lock ups began selecting the new livery from my vehicles, it seems Ok if you select the livery in the lobby? I re-installed the old drivers last night and got straight in and picked my livery and it ran perfectly even the graphics looked better but I have left it on default High and am still using 16qcsaa, will see how it goes tonight. It would seem a common issue across platforms that Racenet and the liveries are causing an issue somewhere?

CODEMASTERS PLEASE HELP | NVIDIA BUG

Had this issue with F12013 and F12014 when I upgraded my EVGA GTX460 to a KFA2 GTX 660TI. Previously, both games worked fine with the 460 but I got the dreaded black screen on a regular basis after my "update". I used MSI Afterburner to lower the core clock speed and turned up the fans which seemed to help, but in the end I decided to downgrade and buy another EVGA card - the EVGA GTX 660 (not the TI). Since the new card I have had no black screen crashes. The EVGA cards seem very stable.

    The Game Thread!

That does look fun. I briefly played Mass Effect 1 & 2, and I really liked certain aspects of them a lot, but I have a hard time maintaining interest in games where I feel like I spend more time in menus & NPC dialog than I spend actively "playing." I like story-rich games, but I think there are more fun ways to convey story elements than simply making players sit endlessly reading on-screen text and/or listening to dialog. I find it frustrating to be told about all these areas to explore, abilities & weapons to unlock & upgrade, and battles to fight, only to spend most of my time in-game reading, waiting, and/or grinding instead of doing the exciting things the game advertises. If this next Mass Effect game is balanced more towards active playing instead of passively watching like it's a television show/movie, then I could see myself buying it & enjoying it. yeah that's one of the things with RPG's though you do have to pay attention to what's going on around you and upgrade and choose your powers carefully. Thankfully with ME it usually is a lot simpler than with other RPG's. Although having said that they have reworked the system for this game. But personally I've never really had a problem with Bioware's games. My only concern is can I adapt to the fact there's no pause to aim for powers in MEA other than that I like what I'm seeing. You can pause to change weapons but in MEA we won't be able to do that with powers anymore like we could in the trilogy. But in my early runs of the trilogy I never used pause to aim so I'll just likely revert to using those tactics again and hope it serves me just as well as when I was learning the ropes in the trilogy. I think it's because they're aiming for a more fluid combat system that works well in both single player and multiplayer. Not that I'm interested in MP but still hopefully it won' t mess up my enjoyment of single player too much.

@KickUp Speaking of FOV, it would be great if this time around, the FOV settings would apply to dashboard view as well, not just to cockpit view, or alternatively if we could enable the dials in cockpit view. I have to run with a very low FOV to get somewhat close to correct and on quite a few cars, it can be a pain to be able to set it up so you can actually see the dashboard. Basically I either have to move the seat quite far to the back to the point where it no longer feels natural (it feels like I'm sitting in the back of the car and my hands are unnaturally long), or I have to use the dashboard view, which means I get the on-screen dials, but lose the custom FOV. There are limitations to our tech that prevents us from allowing FoV adjustment in cockpit view. I agree it would be cool but we haven't been able to solve it for D4.

It's hard to tell what handling modes are being used in these off screen videos. But if you can see the cars coming to pretty instant stops and turning too quickly assume it's the arcade. As I mentioned before, the braking distances have been increased from dirt rally, which felt a lot more realistic
