I wouldn't go that far, but it definitely provided some enjoyment for a short period of times. Which would be a great thing if instead of the boring loading screen, we had an option (keyword, OPTION) to do the Gymkhana thing on some abandoned factory or what not. Kind of like the practice games that FIFA has for their pre-match loading screens. A big wish list item was rally school. Personally would love to see Dirtfish represented since they have such a unique and interesting looking playground there. Could be a cool hybrid tarmac gravel area to just skid around for practice and car control.

I have to say, this new patch brings a great feature that Codies neglected to mention... no more 30FPS lock on the loading screen :D

wow this game is so empty and need way more car and track And that's why they're making a new game, where they can put a lot more things in general, like longer stages, more cars on the screen at the same time and more locations. Generally speaking things that are limiting them with DR (budget, engine) make it pointless to add any content to it since it's going to be limited, so they're simply focusing on a new game where those limitations are no longer the case. At least not as such. ok this dirt rally is a pay demo, im happy im not buy this demo and wait for dirt rally 2 now. While it is a bit low on content, it's still worth every cent

I finally fixed it. So the problem in my case was a 32bit dll placed inside the windows\system32 folder (which should contain 64bit files only). The file name is not important since it may differ from case to case (but if you really want to know it was d3dcompiler_43.dll). I used Dependency Walker to find out this problem, it's a very simple and free utility. These are the steps to follow: -Download Dependency Walker from here: http://www.dependencywalker.com/ -From D.W. hit open-> F1_2015.exe (locate it inside your installation folder) -If the error message "Error: Modules with different CPU types were found." appears then you have the same problem. -Scroll the list in the middle of the screen and look for the "CPU" column values, if something is highlighted in red, locate the corresponding file and replace it with the correct version. In my case, since d3dcompiler_43.dll is a Directx file, i simply deleted it and ran the directx web setup to automatically reinstall it. Now i can finally play again :) Hope this helps

Only took me like an hour and a half to download B) The speed I'm getting now is faster than advertised lol. That fact I'm getting it while using a £25 USB WiFi adapter makes it even more impressive. Spending £150 on a high end router was so worth it. I could enjoy Doom even more if I could get the 144hz screen I want, anything else eats into my monitor budget I will cry lol

It’s still something we’re looking at, but the difference between the T300 and other Thrustmaster wheels is that the FFB is perfectly linear, with the intention of providing more realistic vehicle handling. In the first instance, we’ve been suggesting look at the settings that Thrustmaster have recommended – and some players have also found that reverting to PS3 mode, then re-enabling PS4 mode, will solve the issue. Now, on to the fun stuff – you may notice that the patch doesn’t just bring fixes, but some additions to the content on DiRT Rally… We’ll discuss these in closer detail in tomorrow’s Road Book – but to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, we’ve added the following content: Art – We’ve updated Pikes Peak International Hill Climb to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the event, complete with official PPIHC logos and branding.Game – We’ve updated the handling on the Hill Climb cars so that you can really attack the iconic Hill Climb course. -

I'm just gonna ignore point 1 & 4. 2 - True, but in return, you get the proper cockpit for the car you're currently driving, in 3D. 3 - It's not like you can't take off your headset. I've received my Oculus Rift yesterday, and the feeling of actually sitting in the cockpit of your car, and seeing everything in 3D, is just really amazing. Sure with Triple screen + Edtracker/Trackir/Opentrack you can look around, but in VR you haven't got bezels that are in the way, and it's in 3D as well. -

:o what? :open_mouth: Does quick check... It still says Moderator on my screen. :/ But not after the first edit it doesn't. And, now it's back... And now it's gone again... -
My exams are over, which means binge-watching anime for a week, but I decided to focus on gaming instead. Anyway, anime I've recently watched: Ryuugujou Nanana's buried treasure - A ghost girl is bound to the room where she was killed and spends all day playing video games. She's so good at Virtua Fighter 5 that she can survive a match even after looking away from the screen! Oh, and she's hidden special treasures all over the island of her school and people have to solve puzzles to find them. And it's funny. Seto no Hanayome - A schoolboy's saved by a mermaid and is then forced to marry her against his will and now his in-laws are constantly trying to kill him. It has certain elements I really don't like but is also absolutely hilarious. Oda Nobuna's Ambition - The source of the "Stand Back or I'll Play a Justin Beiber Song" Meme. Started off promising and then it was like 'meh'. There were some interesting bits throughout, but overall I'm not sure if I liked it. Samurai Champloo - It's well known how great this series is. Also, Mugen no Baseball beats Kuroko no Basuke IMO. A couple of Mech anime that I dropped. Casshern Sins (also dropped). Kimi to Boku - first season comical, second more geared towards romance. Natsume Book of Friends - Currently on hold Currently watching K-On and Naruto Fillerpuden. Reading Noblesse and a couple of Chinese Manhwa. Also need to catch up on Ultimate Spiderman.

Google cardboard relies on a $500+ phone (if you buy it out of contract) but I do agree they need to get cheaper, but I am afraid this has set a precedent, the one you want will always be $500, the cheaper version will be the older tech. Well, technically. It just needs a high res screen with a gyrometer. Dude, that sucks, what the heck back-asswards country do you work for? It is Morocco. You've probably heard the news mantling all around the world for the conflict between the Polisario front that claims their illusory Western Sahara which is basically inhabited by Moroccan Sahraouis and MINURSO exclusion from Morocco. Also the diplomatic issues with the US and the countries that voted for self-governance. I would say that the reason why such action was taken and also many terrorist attempts to bombard touristic resorts, restaurants, cafes, to assassinate police officers and people were dissolved and the members behind the depicted attempts were arrested. CoD, CS, BF, GTA, ARMA and all warfare games deliver violence within the players so because of that, that action of banning the VPN service was taken and many more. We're pending reasons for such masking and what I listed were just speculations. We are under pressure and challenges nowadays. Sounds.... fun. Good luck be with you. I'm surely not the only one who expected this right? The V2 physics were shoehorned in to an already full schedule, and they continuously said they weren't exactly happy with it and wanted to change it.

I wonder if this is one of these instances where the real numbers should tweaked to ease the gameplay. it's a fine line to cross, but I think that when you can't compute every part of physics, compromises are needed. Maybe this is a case where the Pikes Peak cars grip levels need to be tweaked, so that the 'feel' better As been mentioned, I have a external speedo mounted on my wheel, I use it as a reference to keep in mind, is this how I would approach this corner in real life? sometimes it helps, it's just a problem of trying to translate that sense of speed onto a screen, maybe VR will somewhat solve that in the future.

Get Good at DiRT Rally 2.0 - Community Rally School

If you're misjudging distances, you might want to lower your FOV. It seems pretty high in the videos, I don't know what kind of monitor/TV setup you have but lowering it so the road on screen is closer to 1:1 scale might help you. -

I absolutely adored playing their WRC titles growing up, and I loved Driveclub, too. They really are a talented bunch, and I would love to see a proper WRC project happen from a merged team bursting with passion for rally. It was clear to see in Evo's WRC games the love and dedication pouring out onto the screen as you played it. Like with Driveclub on PS4, their WRC games were some of the best looking games on the PS2. The content was authentic and cared for, and they managed to make an accessible game whilst keeping the hardcore souls happy. This new dream team can do great things! -
Well, yet again, this isn't really gossip, but i'm determined to move this thread off the 4th page!! If you leave the game at the "Press any key" screen and wait about a minute, you get the full length version of the 1.0 release trailer and music video with lots of very nicely framed and slow motion cars :)

Quantum Break review, few snippets of what I'd feared it would be like. This is the new "PC caring Microsoft" Not exactly winning the trust of PC gamers along with the awful GFWL v2 http://www.pcgamer.com/quantum-break-review/ Performance With a GTX 970 I had to play on a mix of medium/high settings to get a playable frame rate at 1080p. And even then it was inconsistent, dipping as low as 20-25 when things got really bad. The poor optimisation ultimately hampered my enjoyment of the game, and I've heard reports of similar issues, even on better GPUs. Remedy has a track record of developing quality PC versions of its games, but Quantum Break—one of the first big releases for Microsoft’s Universal Windows Platform—runs poorly, even on high-end systems. It’s incredibly demanding (or badly optimised, depending on how look at it). Even on low settings at 1080p with a GTX 970, it struggles to maintain a steady frame rate. This combined with blurry edges, pop-in, and fuzzy shadows does a disservice to the otherwise impressive visuals. And the inconsistent frame rate makes moving and shooting feel frustratingly cumbersome when the screen gets busy. It’s a disappointing PC port, and I have no idea why the game costs £50 on the Windows Store in the UK while Xbox One players can get it for £45 (the prices are consistent on the US store). If Microsoft wants to improve its reputation with PC gamers, they’re off to a terrible start.

Would you care to elaborate please? :) The stage starts, in what way are they new? Do they have a new look (new objects/ marshalls etc), new positions on the stages, or a different functionality in game (more control of the car at the start)? And tyres? Different tyre physics model, different visuals, option to choose which type? We need to know!! Stage starts have a short Title/Scenery intro screen now, rather than dropping you straight in. It serves little purpose, but its a nice finishing touch that I like! The Menu backdrops are slo-mo car based, rather than the aerial view of part of the stage, that often whited out the white text in the Menu itself! Again, well polished! The new tyre puncture model, seems to be in effect, I did two runs over Kontinjarvi last night with a Polo and the tyres remained intact, although I am playing with a pad, so may not have been hitting them hard enough! I did bust a rad though! :) We do have additional standard liveries as we know, many have been seen and talked about here, but having had the PC version for so long, its the Custom liveries that I will miss most! Hopefully, that will be a 'thing' for console in the future? Everything just feels a bit more well packaged and presented, and the game itself did deserve that. Its all good!

I wonder if the new menu backgrounds, fix the triple screen cut offs.

Hi, not that it's much consolation to you, but I have a similar problem with the PS3 version in that Race day will load but the career section goes to the loading screen and freezes the machine. Perhaps we just have crook discs.

If anyone else has The forest, if you type vegan mode at the title screen then there's no mutants, very good if you just want to get to grips with the crafting and systems, you have to type it in each time you reload your save though. Just thought it was a funny way to do it because they are cannibals :joy:

Excellent! Only a minor thing, but every video I've seen of the car selection screen always seems to show each car starting at livery 1: was curious if that feature had been retained.

Man flu sucks, but I have spent the day playing Zelda just using the Wii U tablet screen. Cannot wait for the new Zelda, looks like its going to release on Wii U and NX. So far it's meant to be around PS4 power level, but could also be handheld, it's also meant to use a wireless HDMI dongle, and can also connect to a smartphone. All sounds very interesting. Nintendo are bonkers but that's why I love them, they always try new stuff which doesn't always work.
