I have custom mapped "pause" button and my setting are fine each and everytime I load DR. Make sure you start Dirt Rally with wheel buttons!!! If mouse or KB is pressed on start screen, custom button mapping is lost. Its the only case just like it was on Dirt 3

Ladies and gentleman, that view we all have seen, or at least have a very high chances of seeing it... without ever making a race. Yes, it's the menu screen background :P (With Evo X added in in this case)

Can someone replicate this screen in game ? Where is exactly this spot on Monte?

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

Isn't the snowy bit 'just' Monte Carlo though? Nice screen, thanks, keep the previews coming! -
Lol, did you PM him to ask? :p I figured it was so that when he'd been hitting the Castemaine XXXX it wouldn't matter if he was seeing multiple icons on screen, he could just tap and Chrome would open ;) It's on an earlier page in this thread.

please add: Interface and navigating : -Mouse support:navigate the game using mouse -better interface for setup, instead of the game telling to press key 1 2 or 3 or 4 and so on we should be able to see the assigned key. car set ups: -remove the silly slot system,we should be able to save as many setups as we want. -add a new full screen set up system where you see every thing instead on menus insdie menus inside menus, this in enoying, and takes unnessesary time, i don't want a pc game to be as it was made for console only.i like how isi have done it with rfactor 2. -Setup sharing in car camera pov: currently there is a modder making good fov mod. it actually makes the game playable on my 1080p monitor please add position adjsutment like asetto corsa has, asetto corsa currently have hte best solution, so you can adjust it seperatly for every car, not just fov but up down. the wheel animation needs to be how the car is set up to, not only 180 degrees, thats just silly, and we should have a option to remove the steerign wheel. Skins: i am sure every one would love to have psd tempaltes to add skins to the game and be able to use them in multiplayer, and so peopel can see them, this woudl be nice so if you are in a team you can have your team livery, nice when driving in legues.

Something that would be great for people like me who want to analyse every detail of their race. An in-depth race statistics available from the race results screen. This could include things like your top speed from that race, max Gs, favourite gear, distance driven, number of collisions... perhaps even the number of clean corners if that were possible. Plus as many other interesting stats as possible in order to add another level of interest and another way to compare performances.Another thing that would be absolutely brilliant - a time trial type race mode in the custom race menu. This would give players a way to jump right into the action without the championships and rival racers. Of course, this is not exactly to the true spirit of rally but it would allow for a list of lifetime best laps on RallyCross tracks and best times on rally and hill climb stages when completed in this mode. Perhaps this could be added to an online leaderboard of fastest times for all the available tracks with options to view the times for today, this week and all time. Being able to compare your own times with the rest of the world and friends would hugely improve aspects of the game for players like me.I hope this gets given the time to be taken into consideration, thanks so much for all the improvements that have been made as a result of community suggestions so far!

Real sad news. He was actually one of the few IndyCar drivers I actually knew a bit about thanks to his F1 stints. Another death on an IndyCar oval race though. Surely if they want to keep racing ovals they need some kind of canopy or screen in front of the driver to deflect things which could strike their helmets, either that or just do road courses instead. With Wheldon's crash I'd agree, but Wilson could have been struck by the debris just as easily at any other track. Was a freak accident, nothing more to it. How easily the wheels detached in the GP3 crashes at Spa needs to be looked at much more urgently imo.

You should hang your heads in shame Codemasters for releasing this absolute load of garbage. £40 odd spent on this and I've never felt so ripped off, you've robbed us all. The cars look and feel good, but that's as good as this game gets. I've downloaded the ''new patch''for the PS4 which was said to fix so many bugs. News flash Codemasters, it hasn't!!! Why at every circuit does the screen rip? Why do the Mercs have bright grey tyres when they're more than 3 secs in front of you? Why don't the AI suffer tyre wear? Don't tell me they do, it's a lie! Did a full distance race at Monaco, my first pit stop was scheduled for lap 36. I know how to look after my tyres but couldn't even get to lap 20 without the tyres being totally shot to pieces. Hamilton was in front of me, lost his front wing on the first lap, pitted and did 77 laps on a set of primes and strangely won the race. Don't tell me that doing 77 laps on ''one'' set of tyres is possible, it's complete nonsense! No drive through or stop and go pens, which is shocking, just crap time pens. No safety car, no red flags and cars seem to be totally reliable. Where's the mechanical breakdowns and electrical failures? Don't say that's rare in F1 these days, cause it isn't. This game will never be fixed and the best thing to do for anyone that has a copy is to put it in the bin, best place for it. I will NEVER spend money on a Codemasters product again. Last rant, I think it is absolutely disgusting that Codemasters never reply to anyone unless it's to someone who's praising them. Sell, sell, sell!!! Then give it the silent treatment once they've released their garbage. You will lose a lot of customers after this shambles, mark my words! -
TOCA 2 Touring Cars working on Windows 7
brantnuttall replied to JackKey's topic in General Discussion
Can anyone help? I have tried everything listed above and can't get any of it to work on my PC with W7 running. As soon as I click on start race screen it just freezes and then I find task manager says it isn't running. The speed fix hasn't done anything via cheat engine. The hex editor reference above doesn't even exist on my files and, if it did, it denies permission to make any changes anyway. Please help!!!!! -
So this seems pointless..... http://www.pcgamer.com/zombi-an-updated-version-of-zombiu-is-coming-to-the-pc-next-month/ What made the game so fun, tense and unique was how the gamepad/second screen was used. Without all that it might be kinda dull, loved it on Wii U but won't be buying the PC version. This was one of the few games that was designed with the gamepad in mind from the beginning.

You can't see the left of the screen, can you? Might be a fourth car. Or am I missing something? Good find by the way. -
That's sort of normal though. If you want to avoid microstutters and screen tearing, the GPU and Monitor have to be perfectly synced. It's why Nvidia G-Sync is such a big deal. What you can do to make things better though is turn off V-Sync, but use something like Nvidia Inspector to assign a FPS cap in the graphics drivers themselves to individual games. If your monitor/TV is 60hz, you never want the framerate to go above 60. There's no benefit. Not only is it putting extra strain on your graphics card for no reason (pointless fan-noise) but 60fps+ will cause it's own microstutters because the monitor can't display that properly. With the GPU not working so hard, it's less likely to suddenly drop a whole bunch of frames. I have G-SYNC (ROG Swift); the Milestone games are stuttery unless monitor is set to 60hz. A few games exhibit this issue, it's a bit annoying. But yeah, anyone got any DiRT Rally gossip? Just this: http://www.vg247.com/2015/07/21/dirt-rally-pc-racing-mod-support/ And this: https://www.reddit.com/r/dirtgame/comments/3dmf2a/feedbackfriday_with_a_twist/ct6luro

Yeah, i know that, but even with 60+ fps screen tearing isn't really an issue with the more recent milestone games (MotoGP 15, WRC4...), but using v-sync to cap the FPS (and to reduce GPU usage) makes stuttering even worse. Anyway, we're going a bit off-topic, eh? :P

So I've had my ROG Swift monitor for about a day and a half now, and by god it's ridiculously good. I watched and read a bunch of reviews and they all said it's one of the best gaming monitors available, but until you're actually sat in front of it and gaming on it you don't realise just how good this thing makes everything look :) A few times now I've actually been caught out by it too, because it has much smaller bezels than my old monitor, and with the smoothness that Gsync gives it, I've actually watched characters walking off screen and expected them to just kind of appear in real life to whichever side they went off. At one point it was raining in a scene and I looked above the monitor wondering where the rain was coming from and expecting to see angry clouds lol. If any of you guys are building a gaming rig in the future and have the money to get this monitor, don't even hesitate, it's incredible :) Planning on fitting my Lightpack to it tomorrow so it can fool me even more :p

- Make the cars not feel like 18 wheelers when you hit snow. A car weighing around 1000kg and with 300-500HP should not have that little grip, in game especially the 2WD suffer from ridiculous understeer. I know it's supposed to be slippery, but the effect is way too exaggerated... 4WD don't suffer that much but they suffer from some weird power loss when hitting a power slide, should also not happen with a 300+ HP car, there's some weird lag of power no matter if you give them a lot or little throttle, one could argue that it's turbo lag but happens no matter revs... - I want to see what's on the road, in Monaco for example, it's hard to tell if it's wet asphalt, ice or just darker parts of the road. - LSD is whack, not sure what's going on with this one, but on default settings the LSD just randomly locks the wheels even without them spinning ( at least they seem not to from visual/audio feedback ). Makes cars, especially RWDs very unpredictable, no matter speed or throttle input... Also, can we get an option to not have an LSD at all? Or maybe it's the co-driver pulling the E-brake... Make him stop. - Tire options? This is Rally... - Less random bumps on the road that aren't there visually ( especially in Greece ), sometimes get thrown off the road or flipped by stuff that's not there on the screen. - Why does the brakes turn into a handbrake if you make it go 1 notch below 50/50? It goes from heavy front brakes to instant handbrake.

When I try to run this game I have a problem. The screen goes black and looks like it could eventually load. So I had a thought. Maybe because my computer is 4 years old and isn't on the best Graphics card maybe I can change the graphics without having to be in game. Is there a way to do this in the F1 2015 folder in (windows start > Computer > Os:C (C Drive) > Program files (x86) > Steam > steam apps > Common > F1 2015) If that helps Maybe there is a graphics folder ??? If you can help me it would mean the world to me as I have been waiting for this game for ages :) Yours Haggis -

PS4. I am having trouble every time I set my driving controls to 'custom.' Camera angles change inexplicably and the whole screen starts jittering. Please help as I have not been able to play the game yet because of this
