Hello All I hope I am putting this in the right section of the forums.  I was playing a multiplayer time trial race and was last in the queue.  I started driving and about 15 seconds in the game drop in fps to about 4, the screen went black and then it came back on just as my car crossed the finish line.  I hadn’t driven around the track.  It's only happened to me once, but instead of getting a 1:05 ish laptime, I got a 19 second lap time.  I don't hack games, and if I do mod them, I play with the mods in offline only, and I have never modded any codemasters game before.  It could just be my web connection dropped, which has been happening recently in the last few days.  I'm wondering if you know what could have caused it.  I was recording it with Fraps at the time, but the recording died when the screen went black.

I red about LOORE saying: it's hard to put rain in game and Teach the A.I. to race and to have more than 16 cars on track, ok would be easier to do it only for touring car? Please i think u can do it!!! And also he said: it's very expensive to develope new cars and tracks, ok but please it's necessary to give the game more longevity and is it a risk? Nope because we surely buy them!!! Take your time to develope them! ((By the way,i ask how is possible at the end of this console generation to talk about the Engine not enough powerful tu run 20/24 cars on tracks or to feature RAIN??! When at the end of this generation The console's Engine should be at their Maximum power giving the possibility to achieve everything, AM I RIGHT guys?))     Not on our plans, would suggest if you want 'native' PC discussion you utilise the Steam forums (I'm active over there as well) :) Right now I don't see the need to split the Community based on their platform of choice.

    Corrupt Save File / Console Patches

    I'd like to confirm for anyone reading this that car upgrades are busted on Xbox 360 after the patch. They're now doing what people reported weeks ago on PC/PS3. They only work in custom playlists online where tuning is disabled. In official playlists and in single player, upgrades do not work at all. I tested this in split-screen at Indy Oval using the Indy car, one fully upgraded one without. I hit 231mph on both cars at the ends of the straights, no slipstream. The upgraded one should have gotten 235+. Needs fixing. Makes buying car upgrades pointless.

There have been a few discussions about F12014 steering wheels being mostly the same across the different F1 teams, confirmed by several on board screen shots, but can anyone confirm if the steering wheels were mostly the same in F12013, or did each team have the authentic steering wheel ingame? If they had the correct ones in last years title, it would seem to be a slack backward step for this year not to do the same. However, if not, then it's just business as usual & not a huge problem.

    @Loore‌  Yes, counting down is unrealistic, but as I said, a progress relating to the sectors of the track should be easily possible I think and gives a way clearer info even for people that don't instantly know how long a lap round a certain track in a certain car usually takes. Theres 3 or 4 secotrs on each track, what should give a status update every 30 seconds or so and that way a pretty decent indicator, if it's a wee-break or a cigarette-break. ;) And of course, unfortunately you don't see anything about progress/status in the lobby selection screen, what really can be a pain in the a**. Pretty often I can decide between two lobbys, just to see, that the one I entered just started the race. When entering the other one, same again, just started. You only know, if they're still in the lobby and from that on which race. Something like 'race finished' would be nice, to know that I can join the next, if I enter right now. Or aswell the progress, would be much better. I had times where I searched 20 minutes for a decent lobby, cause I didn't wait the 6 minutes in one, till they finished and then always missing the next race in any lobby by 5 seconds. That is super annoying.

    Grid AS causes computer to freeze completely

    Hi, I have the same issue. ! in 12 races on average will freeze on the loading screen which forces me to turn off the PC. I have noticed this happens mostly in online races leaving from lobby to loading screen. I also have this problem... I need some expert advice regarding momentarily intermittent USB device controller (G27) disconnection, with only one application (grid autosport), and whilst that application is using both the controller and the internet simultaneously. I  reinstalled the application and wiped and reinstalled windows several times. I also uninstalled similar apps in case of any confliction and uninstalled and reinstalled every hardware driver and made sure they were up to date whilst trying older and beta drivers. I also flashed and updated the BIOS etc and disabled legacy. This was days of faffing and fiddling until I eventually discovered (by sheer fluke) my GPU drivers had not installed correctly the last time and were running the application with only one out of four GPUs (7990's in crossfire, or 'quadfire' as it has been coined). Yet I had disabled crossfire previously, before the very first reinstall of all apps, driver's and windows to check and see if this were causing the issue, but with no joy. So I removed one of the two 7990's and all now works well again with no controller disconnection issues at all whilst in the app and online. I've written Logitech and codemasters regarding the issue with no response. Usually I'd not care why and be satisfied it works. Nowadays I find myself quite intrigued as to why, in stead of winging it. i.e, I want to learn more than I currently know. Also, why should I remove expensive hardware due to an annoying problem whilst also sacrifice quality and performance. It had occurred to me an IRQ request was in confliction, but both pci-e and USB are not using the same IRQ address/protocol. Could it be the motherboard (MSI gd65 z87) and or the processor (4.2Ghz 4770k) bottlenecking or some sort of latency fluctuation caused by bad programing by codemasters, Logitech, Amd etc, or all of the above? It cant be a power issue with a 1250w. All apps that use the same hardware never have this problem, even ones in a pre-alpha state like Assetto Cora. Should I upgrade my motherboard and CPU to say, Asus deluxe X79 and i7 4930 or is this just something that I should overlook? I'm not one to sweep such things under the rug lately due cost, interest, and not whilst I'm building an identical rig for my soon to be 15 year old sons birthday. I'm sure it would be very disappointing for him. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.     GRID Autosport Feedback

    @Loore‌ I dont know if that been said previously, cant find a search engine on the site... But it would be great to see ending result of  small championships. You do a 5 race championship and every turns you see the results with bots pts and everything... Last race end and all you see is players points all in a messy order ! 1. Show off last pts pannel wih bots if they were part of it, just like after race 1,2,3,4 ! 2. Show it in a proper order, just like all previous boards shown 3. Give option to take a snapshot from that screen (store to PC/PS3/360 !!! :) So clubs that do events can keep it and shot results on web pages or facebook pages. That would make crisp and clean result pictures of endings boards instead of phone picture shots we must do right now... Replay save after a race would be a nice option too... So we could know who are the bashers doing bowling halley trick in first curves ! :) One other thing... The Racenet event is usually something we dont platinum on first try, it's really long and anoying to get kicked out to main Racenet Menu after every single races. We should have option to Race again before map is whiped out from console memory. I know that we can Retry, but retry dont give any cash or XP to last race done. We should get xp and credits after race, THEN give a retry, before is flush any info of track. We actually need to wait all the time for map to reload on every single  try on PS3, I try it 50 time s in a row, i load map 50 times...

    Yup this is the best thing to do, usually if you click on a players name in the lobby you'll have the option to view their profile, this will take you to their xbox/psn/steam overlay screen and you can report them from there.
  13. I don't get it, why is he playing F1 2013 when this topic is about new pics from F1 2014? it is 2014 not 2013  that's what it looks like. The main reason probably you can't tell  is that there is no difference between the 2 :p . The only thing that I think gives it away is the LED screen on the wheel looks different than the digital layouts used in the earlier games @sjsharp2010‌ I think mitch was just taking the p!$$ lol (but cant be entirely sure haha)

    I don't get it, why is he playing F1 2013 when this topic is about new pics from F1 2014? it is 2014 not 2013  that's what it looks like. The main reason probably you can't tell  is that there is no difference between the 2 :p . The only thing that I think gives it away is the LED screen on the wheel looks different than the digital layouts used in the earlier games

    Correct afrodude41 the actual Ferrari wheel has a smaller screen (smaller that the Merc powered cars for example) at the top of the wheel under the rev lights, and then a series of knobs underneath..... Even the Ferrari badge isn't there.... Now we know why no hot laps are being shown this year (and nothing else :neutral_face:  ) because people will complain (as they did when the announcement vid was shown on 31st July 14 and people questioned the accuracy of the wheels) This looks more like a Marussia wheel to me!! More laziness from CM.... What have you been doing for the last 11 months since 2013 was released??? Of course we won't get an answer to my question........... 
  16. Hasn't been fixed yet. Thankfully my other issue (triple screen wouldn't save bezel corrected resolution when restarting the game) is fixed with recent updates.

    20 or 30 seconds is a little over the top. You have to consider the winner only... and most of the times that one should be a half decent driver that is less than 3 seconds off of good driver. Anyway, it is a guess... if I see Cat A, Spa, 3 laps I go with ~135s per lap, so 405s in sum. As this is a guess, cause I constantly forget how fast I go round a track, the 3 seconds more/less per lap don't matter anyway. But I know I can easily take a p*ss if the clock is at 200s. ;) To completion... that would be pretty easy aswell. We get 3 sectors on each track, meaning a 3 lap race split in 9 parts of 11%. Whenever the leading car passes the latest sector, the counter goes up and we get a decent indicator of how far the race is. Time is the unknown factor, but distance is fixed (more or less), so you go over that. But I don't expect anything like that in GAS anymore. I just remember how GRID did that... you couldn't only spectate, you could even see laps, times, positions of all drivers from the lobby, right?

Id like to see  warm up lap online Online replay save system tyre pressure settings  Safety car more often  split screen for watching more than one group of cars online be handy for league stewards  Why not have a steward poistion in custom online lobbys with a few opitions like give warning give drive tru  call safety car basic stuff but have it that a whole lobby votes for steward and that its a opition that only a host can turn on weather a steward position will be part of lobby .

    I saw some comments relating to Petter on Facebook and thought it was just Facebook nonsense, I have subsequently seen it mentioned on a few rally forums, so perhaps there is some merit in it. I'm split on the return of Solberg. It would be great to see him back in the WRC again but, as a massive rallycross fan his arrival has, for me, been the best thing to happen to the sport in the last couple of years.  Perhaps more importantly, I would be concerned that now he has dropped "out of the groove" of WRC, whether he would be on the pace if he came back. Post some proper information and I'm sure you'll get a few back. ;) I think Solberg first mission is to win the World RallyCross Championship ;-) that will make him legend again! And yes i do doubt if he can follow the pace of Ogier or other fast raising talents like Keving Abbring and Stéphane Lefebvre :

    [VIDEO] F1 2014 Spa Hot Lap

    OK I agree the moto gp games are excellent for the budget and resources available to milestone, and clearly made with passion, but there are really auful bugs. On the PS4 version for example there is a relatively high possibility that you and all the AI on screen will be teleported forwards, usually meaning that you end up in a random wall or gravel trap. The AI is also 2.5 seconds quicker in the race than  in all other sessions, meaning you could qualify on pole but struggle to finish 6th in the race.  They're good games, but Milestone's bugs are much worse than Codies.
  24. Ooooh yea, I remember the tokens now :p Tbh, they came up on screen for me once, I pressed to see what it was, decided I'd make do without and it's never come up again since :) So I guess they are there, but they're very unobtrusive.
  25. @Loore @justbiglee‌ I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere else but apologies if it has. In our Race Department Xbox League we have noticed that every race we run the gap data seems to get corrupted around 4/5 laps from the end of the race. For example our last race at Spa we ran 3 races, 1 x 3 lap (used as our qualification session due to not qualification in the online game) and 2 x 14 laps. Both of the 14 lap races the gaps were fine until lap 9/10 when suddenly a gap of around 10 seconds on my screen between myself and the leader jumped to over a minute and a half, the following lap it was over 3 minutes and so on and so forth until the end of the race. It’s almost as if the game thinks my car is standing still (I’m slow but not that slow!!). Each driver behind the leader see’s the same. It’s happened each race we have run so far (Indianapolis, Brands Hatch and now Spa). At the same time the driver ahead of you always seems to show up as being very close behind the leader during this spell (less than a second at times) when in fact he is not. Is this a known bug and if not what are the chances of it getting fixed. Pretty annoying as that information is the only reference we have in the game to how we are doing in comparison to other drivers.
