A couple of questions regarding DLC allowance in Online Custom Cup
Tony031R posted a topic in General Discussion
So, after buying the Sprint Pack DLC last night, I set off to create a Custom Cup session. I hit "Yes" on the "Allow downloadable content" screen and created the session WITHOUT using any of the Sprint Pack tracks. The players I invited to the session couldn't join because they didn't own the DLC. Makes sense why, all good. Went back, selected "No", recreated the session, and went on with our racing. Now, the players who I race with regularly don't have any intention to buy the Sprint Pack as they're not point-to-point racing fans. However, we all intend to get the Touring Car Legends Pack. My questions are: If I own the Sprint Pack AND Touring Car Legends Pack and act as the host using just Silverstone and Donington and NOT the point-to-point tracks, will the other players who don't own the Sprint Pack still be able to join the session? Will the game be able to make a difference between which expansion is allowed/used and which one isn't? Will the session have to be created (and DLC allowed) by the player who only owns the Touring Car Legends Pack / less DLC packs in order for it to work, just like in GRID 2? Seriously, I don't want to have to give up the host role just because I own more expansions than the players I race with. I don't want to create a session with no one able to join it just because I own an extra pack which my fellow racers don't and which I won't even use online. Wouldn't it be a better idea to allow us to select exactly which expansions are allowed? It's only going to be three of them, afterall. Come on... these DLC compatibility issues completely ruined the online mode for GRID 2. Are we REALLY going to have to experience this again? -
Well I enjoyed that race even if you didn't... We arrived in time with the end of the GP3 race, so when we got into the fan park (behind Eau Rouge), the GP2 cars were heading onto the track. They make a fantastic noise. After the first lap, we slowly walked up the hill and along the Kemmel straight. We got to Les Combes as the race was finishing. It's really that far, even if we stopped to take photos quite often. The hill is enormous. Games & TV give no concept of how steep it is, nor that the downhill after Le Source is so great. We made our way round to the top of pouhon, the right hander named Bruxells. From there you can see miles. I'm not joking. Again, the sheer elevation is astounding. Having got the the bottom of the circuit, we made out way up the inside of Blanchimont, and made it to Bus Stop in time for the drivers parade. We were sat in the trees on the banking at Bus Stop Chicane, so there is next to no chance we appeared on telly :( We had a good view of the braking zone, but because of the trees getting good photos was difficult, hence most of my good photos are from the support races. We had a giant screen quite close, so we got to see the Ham/Ros incident. Massa was *****, Kimi was good (finally), Ricciardo was great, again. After the race we made out way up to the side of the grandstand to see the podium. We didn't boo Rosberg, but it was loud either way. After that, we got onto the track at Le Source, walked to the base of Eau Rouge, and made our way back to the bus. Great day!

Xbox patch is on. Only 5 MB. So far I'm stucked on loading screen on which normally you choose saves except I can't press anything and screen is empty without saves to choose. Can only go to dasboard. edit. Forget about it, after restarting game saves are restored, bugged cars with 0 credits worth and lev.1 still are 'untouchable' thou. Can't use them, can't sell them to free garage slots (got some internall error message). I'm far from full satisfaction but at least we can continue our game progress but reall Codies, you should at least give DLC's for free foll all this save files crap.

Logitech G27 disconnects in Grid Autosport online multiplayer only!
InkyEnston posted a topic in Technical Assistance
Hi all, as it says above, my G27 disconnects during online MP only. Not in single player, nor on any other online race game. It was fine until about 10 days ago. Now, when I start a race online, in race or in lobby it will have a black screen with "controller disconnected pop over the game play. It can happen within 10 seconds to almost the length of a race. I've reinstalled the wheel and its drivers. Tried different USB slots to no avail. I've also reinstalled the game twice and deleted all profiles and games that have been installed on or around that time. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Hello, I have played GAS for two months. Everything works fine. But it takes too much time(almost 1 minute) to load a race every time while the loading screen runs under a ultra low FPS. My computer's specs: i7-2720QM GT550M 8GB 1600MHz Hynix RAM 256GB SX900 ADATA SSD

Codemasters please sort out the penalties
RTAnoskills replied to RTAnoskills's topic in General Discussion
Magnasson ended up with a 20 second penalty for running Alonso wide. No contact just drove him out wide onto the grass. I wounder what sort of penalty the F1 officials would have awarded Mad Dad for his 1st contact. When you say he's along side me, he's actually no where to be seen, then screams into the screen and hits me, and starts shouting at me. Then he hits me again, when im tryin to recover form being hit the 1st time. Micky was behind me, same as Rosberg was behind Hamilton. I was in the process of taking the turn, and then I find a car in my door. Contact, in a NON contact sport caused my the car behind. I can race anyone fairly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9K6biqrEsA I can do that, or I can do a Mad Dad or micky video. -
That test is for you to be introduced to the Flashback feature. To pass it you need to go to Instant Replay and rewind the replay to a moment when you didn't have a puncture and then use a Flashback. (There should be an on-screen guide for it when your tyre gets a puncture)

Not as irrittating as the fact that, having to sit 8ft or so from the screen as I do when playing F1, they were so illegible that I’ve no idea what most of them said anyway. Yeah this irritated me too. Especially that picture of the back of a Mercedes, and the text is white, so half of the text is really hard to see
-
No, because all they do is screw you over due to the AI's incompetance. Doesn't really affect the realism anyway, the only way these games could get any more arcade is if they had INSERT COIN - CREDIT(S)/0 flashing in the top right corner of the screen constantly
-
none of this is possible due to "licencing issues". No in game comments can have an effect on the virtual world championship.. FOM will have Codies heads on sticks if the licence is breached in any way. Rumour has it FOM wants "Bernie says THINK BEFORE YOU DRIVE" to be watermarked on the screen at all times, doing anything unauthorised in game could land you a severe lawsuit. Personally i think FOM have gone too far, either way Codemasters cant be blamed at all

The Vita remote play is awful. Fifa plays at sub 30fps and you have to use the touch screen for some buttons. All games play at a low framerate compared to just playing from a PS4, in short it's a gimmick. The Wii u is better for that as you still use the same controller and the framerate is the same as just using the TV so no I wouldn't buy a vita just for that.

I fired up Open Wheel playlist, there was about to start a race .Discipline: Super LightweightCar: Caparo T1 (i used loaned car coz i dont own it yet)Track: Istanbul - Intermediate CircuitRace mode : Time attack , 3 laps It was all good 2 laps, i had a strong 2nd place and i was only 1.4 sec behind 1st driver, i was planing to set fastest time on last lap (to get to know car handling better). At the middle of 2nd lap, it was shown to me that have - 1min and something better time than it was in first lap, i said OMG and than black screen, and i jumped 100m before finish line at 3rd lap.I couldnt move my car at all and it just keeps going by it self towards finish line and race was finished (for me at least, all other players was still at 2nd lap).Final result in time attack was 33 sec for me and to others 1min and something .I have no idea what happened there, i was shocked, and i just get out from the session coz i didnt want to get that points for some game bug, it wouldnt be fair to other players. So i quit and get back to same playlist, and guess what, they kicked me out (probably they think i cheated). To the guys who was in the playlist, i want to say I AM SORRY, it wasnt my fault at all, it was some serious bug.To CM guys, YOUR GAME IS SO BROKEN, there is no way u can fix this game any more, i have said in other thread what kind of problems i have with this game, and the list is long....This is what i get because i pre-ordered game and i get season pass, what a shame .... PS : what an idiot i was, i forgot to take a screen shoot of this, i was so angry.... :(

[F1 2013 Video] A.I Madness and why the safety car needs to be more regular
AyrotonS296 replied to MarkDavis94's topic in General Discussion
Massa pulled of with an engine problem, it just doesn't show on the screen like F1 06, but I wish it did. -
Its a lie. The screen shot is from Grid 2. The patch still isn't out.

Replays uploaded... but to where?
RTAnoskills replied to DeadlyDiddly's topic in Technical Assistance
Are they in the youtube video manager? Do you have to click "publish"? Ive only ever added 1 video from the game, the quality is always terrible. If you have a 1 inch screen, then it may look HD - LOL You have probably checked my suggestions already, but just thought Id suggest it anyway. -
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe F1 2010 had this option? It should definitely be included though. Who needs to see two steering wheels? F1 2010 didn't have this option, but why would you want it anyway, it just adds to the games fun. Many people playing with steering wheels on racing games like to be able to remove the steering wheel and hands from in game to add to the immersion. The steering wheel and hands of the actual player then effectively replace the in game hands/wheel, if the screen/wheel stands are at the right height. This. The majority of sim-racers do not have the in-game wheel/arms visible. Really makes no sense if you think about it.

once again rob u try to make out that my way of doing things is easeier. the game is equally difficult however u choose to play it, it depends on the quality of the people u race against. NOTHING ELSE. get off your high horse. as i said in my last post, U seem to think that anybody who dosent race exactly as u do is taking the easy option. i race the way i race for very good reasons which im not gonna repeat. as i have said time and time again ROB, if u think i take the easy option, and therefore imply that u r better than me then RACE ME, but EVERYBODY knows what a coward u r as this has been going on nearly a week and u are to scared to face me on the track. U put me down, put my team down, slag off the way i race but still WONT face me. also i never kick people from my room except if a team mate is waiting to join, Or sometimes when people 'lag jump' up the results screen. (except svenos) although im over that now svenos and wont kick u anymore. (private matter). Most sensible people would probably that these r good reasons to kick players, although im sure u wont Rob, but i bet u vote to kick anybody who beats u. im guessing u r now accusing me of kicking good drivers from my room, but u have never been in my room. u seem to get lower and lower. far from it, i invite faster drivers to join the club. If they dont want to join then fine i tell them they r always welcome in my room asThe only way to get quicker is by racing quicker drivers and seeing what they do differently. RACE ME U COWARD. If Ur To SCARED to Race me then simply Shut up. if u put as much time into the game as u do trolling these forums u might actually move up xp leaderboards ;)

Racenet Challenge - Party Mode this week is bugged. Own cars allowed!!?
TaKeNuk replied to TaKeNuk's topic in General Discussion
Jerrymackturner - Party Mode events have always been with Loan cars ONLY as TUSMBOX mentioned, As DLT222 has said, if they're going to allow you to use your own car for this Intel Challenge then at least give some form of reward for Winning each time? At the moment, the race ends, and you go back to the Racenet challenge screen having earned no money or XP. This simply isn't a fair playing field for all players, New players to the game, or players such as myself who haven't driven the Formula B very often in Online races (Because it never appears in the playlists..) are now left handicapped. I simply don't have the time to spend a week grinding my way through races to upgrade a car unnecessarily. Racing competitions should be kept simple, with the bare minimum of variables, a fair playing field for all, same car, same track. At the moment this Intel Challenge just rewards those who have flooded hours and hours into the game, and just so happen to have a fully modded Formula B car. -
im not twisting your words at all rob, just stating what u r implying, now on 3 different threads, this 1, my teams recruitment thread (stating that iyo anybody who joins monster racers is simply a glory hunter) and stating that your team is better coz u only have 10 members and blah de blah. All this in MY teams Recruitment thread. also on another website, playstationtrophies.org on there grid autosport boosting page where u asked to find a team to race with when yours is offline. i invited u to join our race room and once again u went into 1 about xp leaderboards and glory hunting. u r following me around like a lost mangy mutt. i posted here to highlight the 3 cheats on the multi player leader boards as this is a CHEATS thread, i dont see the point in making an entirely new thread just because it is a slightly different leaderboard to the 1 in the title. u saw my post and couldnt help yourself could u, U HAVE TAKEN THIS THREAD TOTALLY OFF TOPIC. also i explained y i use the race settings i use, and there is more satisfaction having 5 drivers finish within a tenth of each other and not knowing who won till results screen then getting smashed off at the 1st turn. I DON'T HIDE BEHIND FORUMS. IM ONLINE EVERY NIGHT, U THINK U SO GOOD, RACE ME. i think this is very simple, u know u cant beat me, your to afraid to try, ur jealous of me and my team so that is y u are following me around attempting to shit on my own and my teams achievements. RTAnoskills, i hear what u r saying, and yes i do agree sometimes the xp leader boards are misleading, however this is the 1st time i have ever been top of an xp leaderboard, it happened quite by accident as was just racing with mates for fun. However it annoys me that idiots like ROB say im only there because i have put more time into the game than anybody else. anybody who comes to my room and beats me gets a well done and an invite to join club (if not already aligned) i have won 60% of my races and finished on podium in 90% so obviously ROB im not there by skill am I? my full stats are on a previous post and can be checked on racenet multilayer leaderboards also RTA i don't play challenges as i have had save corruption on more than 10 occasions, and challenges have been noted as a possible cause, when i did them in the first 2 weeks i got into the top 30% of all except the destruction derby 1, and top 10% of a couple, didnt really look at exact positions, yes i do agree that they r a good representation of skill, but like xp leader-baords you can get to the top by playing them a lot and doing nothing else as practice makes perfect. (NO DISRESPECT whatsoever to the people at top of challenge leader-boards) I know u guys/gals ARE VERY, VERY good.
