Hoping the screen is a hint that Fiesta RS WRC and Impreza WRC 98 are ingame.Fingers crossed.

Exactly, just leave it on t-cam the whole time. According to the Codies fanboys that was down to "hardware limitations" of the old gen consoles and the fact that an officially licensed F1 game apparently couldnt render 21 cars on screen at any one time. personally I beleive since they were pushing the game toward 10yr old kids with 5 second attention spans, they decided to chop and change the camera angles... every 4.9 seconds

@Hughesy : Yeah, I'd be irritated too if I was a backer on the PC side & saw support going elsewhere. You're obviously more involved than I am, and I don't have access to their pre-release forum like you do, but the posts you screen-captured there sound to me like they're currently just rushing to wrap up the console builds to ship off to the console makers - and then possibly shifting back to polishing the PC build more during the window between sending off the console builds & the multi-platform launch. But you're certainly more in-the-loop than I am on this & maybe I'm reading it wrong. I didn't buy it for the grass. ;) ...With Grid AutoSport's other problems, I wouldn't call the game a success for its grass. :pensive: As long as pCARS functionally works (without significant game-impacting issues) at launch & delivers the features they've said it will, what I've seen of it looks plenty good. But I might be in the minority since graphics don't matter to me nearly as much as game-play & quality.

@RevolvingPrawn So I'm just starting a new game on Dishonored. First time I've played it with my 980, using DSR at 4K. Not even sure I've played it using my 1440p monitor before, the colours look a lot better with my ips screen.

well I have an Xbox 360 for Windows controller for my PC (although I read you can use XB1 controllers as well now) that usually serves me well enough for sports games although I tend to use the keyboard for CM's F1 games, as for wheels I don't know as I don't use one. As for desks I think the best bet would be try your local DIY shop or something. People have different setups though depending on how they feel. Mine's on a desk mostly because I have to be close to it in order to use my PC/consoles because of my disability and I have a purpose built desk for that Some people just have it sitting on the floor and connected to a screen TV when they're using them it's just a matter of taste.

Add support for Half-Over-Under 3D. All that's needed for this is JUST output both left and right images (50% scaled-down vertically) to the same screen: left one at the top, right one at the bottom. That's all. 3D TV itself will do the rest (regardless of what exact 3D technology is used by the TV).

Text chat. Text chat. TEXT CHAT. TEXT CHAT!!! T E X T C H A T ! ! ! I think you understand about text chat, if not - look few previous strings. Until you understand and do what you must to do. Ty. No flashback online becose its race, its about skill and knowledge. For me its even more painfull, i feel bad when cars flickering and appearing everywhere on my screen. Need a Spectator mode so ppl cant spectate and take this skill, expirience and knowledge from pro by watching how they play. No upgrades for online, like grid1 with 1.3 patch. Becose its forcing ppl to live in game. Or do not play. You cant go any discipline and win even if you have 10k hours in all grid games. So ill repeat it again - its about skill, not about playing 333 hours and buy parts for win. There are many ppl 20 30 year old, they cant play so much, and when they go online they cant have fun, coz there are ppl with all cars upgraded. But pls, do not make pocket suck by creating "DLC wich gives you money exp and so on", why buying a game and want have what we pay for. Just do not do this system. And when you do ability to set up lobby do not use upgrades or anything else you separate ppl. DO NOT SEPARATE PPL! do not do region restriction, and other things and options wich can separate players. You have not a huge players base, so do not do it even less. Feel free to sell cars but do not do track DLC, its separate player again. Do not make performance tuning online in any way. There will be allways ppl who have more time to find setups for abuse. Do not make simulator from simcade, there are enough realistic simulators. Its should give us feel the car but should not be too hard. I know you will not do this, coz you suck hard :D but ill say anyway - modding. Valve sells hats and have more money than you doing so much work with physics and real life racing stuff. Ppl like to customize, think about it, It can be great alternative to upgrade system. Ability to visual tuning instead of performance tuning. Force feedback is flat now. Do something. Play some rfactor and feel how it should be and do better maybe, but for now its not ffb. And last. Be closer to grid 1, it was perfect, it was simple, userfriendly simcade and has big players base. There was text chat and no flashback online. It was like log into game, go to lobby, race and take you place depending on you skill. It was fast and simple. Now we wasting so much time with this shitty setups, repairs and so on. More race, less waste! Peace!

In F1 2015 you pick which driver / team you want to race for and compete as them. I like to race as myself and see my name on screen. This is disappointing. No more career mode then.
-
I'd second that, would be particularly keen to hear about triple screen/SLI recommendations - reckon I might finally need that upgrade :/

I'm having trouble linking racenet to my ps3. The link goes to load then goes to a white screen and does not load. Is there any answers to this problem? -
No that fairs enough, thanks for answering. I'd probably be telling the engineer to shut up I know what I'm doing, like a certain F1 driver :joy: Luke Earlier today @Britpoint kind of confirmed that the lack of this feature was down to built-in voice recognition technology on the Xbox and PS4. If the voice commands work very well in game then I would love if the dev team looked into some other systems such as Google's or... don't know what else is out there... Does Windows have one? Is Cortana the thing that will be Win 10? I do like that the focus of the announcement were the enhancements to the handling physics and perhaps a mode specifically for the more hardcore players. I can't wait to see this game in motion (the screen from Singapore at night looks fantastic) and perhaps hearing more about a drive to make the next game behave better online. You can already use voice commands on Windows 8.1, I myself have used it. It is possible to add it, but I'm not developing the game so I don't know why it isn't. It's not a huge problem for me, but I would like all platforms to have the same features. I don't get upset about these kinds of things, as when you've seen every process a game goes through when being made (ive been with Project Cars since the beginning) you learn that nothing is simple, no matter how small.

Thanks man, as a company and with our racing games in particular we're getting back to what the most important thing is... That feeling of the car on the surface, if that doesn't feel right then the rest of the game doesn't matter. For what its worth (and I know this won't mean much to some of the F1 forum guys) but Codemasters Physics Programmer, god and all round nice guy @PonchoBillybob worked on the tyre model for the F1 team. I'll let @GentleNameMVB explain to you all just how much that says about how realistic and how seriously we're taking the handling. EDIT: As for Singapore, yeah you're right it is stunning in that screen - that's nothing compared to seeing it in motion though. I hope this is true about the handling, particularly the "feeling of the car on the surface". That's something we never had with any previous CM release, but from what I've seen in sims, it's very hard to achieve without laser scanned tracks, so we'll see.....

@justbiglee I'm very pleased with the initial announcement and finally having the pleasure to view the very first screen shots of F1 2015 and reading about some of the new features. I see the dedication you have and your willingness to answer questions... so here go the million dollar questions i think most of us want to know: (if you could be kind to answer these when you legally can... or "if" we have developer diaries again?) 1- Will we have formation laps finally? 2- Improved Damage Model. Talks to us about some of the improvements you have done on this subject. 3- AI Behavior.: Are they quicker in the first lap? Do they make more mistakes? Will they trigger the SC more? 4- Safety Car AI Behavior: Will it come out more often during incidents? (I have every title of Formula 1 from Codemasters since the Safety Car feature was first implemented... think i have seen it about 10 times since then. Unless i trigger it myself on purpose and even then its a hard task.) 5- The reintroduction of all practice sessions. 6- Proper Day to night in Abu Dhabi. That is all i can think of for now. i am sure i will add more to this list later.... plus i will read what other members ask too. But personally those are my most important in my list. :) thanks very much for your time Ed.

Especially the track environment looks way better than last gen, even though it's crappy photo taken off screen. I hope the they nailed the AI.

F1 2014 has never worked. (Steam Error Code 41)
Evilsmurf replied to OxyPinecho's topic in Technical Assistance
I'd suggest sending custserv@codemasters.com and email with your rig spec, they'll most likely ask for some more info but they should be able to help get you running. Thanks. I don't know what I did to make it work, but it works now. I uninstalled and reinstalled again after my last post and it at least runs now. I can't get into full screen though, it crashes every time I try. But at least it's playable now. Might sound like a silly idea, but have you checked the game resolution is the same as your desktop resolution? had problems with games crashing before because of that. Assetto corsa for one... -
Either a TV screen or Computer Moniter
-
Looks like a tv screen to me.
-
If you're only running the one card, sometimes a multi screen resolution can just destroy fps unfortunately. It might be due to that?

The reason it looks like a painting is probably because someone took a photo of the screen to mimic the leaked screens.
-
Which game is this from? People are saying that it's leaked F1 2015 screen, but I doubt it. Doesn't look like Project CARS or Assetto Corsa, though. Apart from the Kaspersky text it seems to match Ferrari's 2014 steering wheel.

I still don't understand Codemasters' approach to public relations and drumming up excitement and enthusiasm about any upcoming games/sims, namely F1 2015 and Dirt 4. Whoever is in charge of that needs to be fired (maybe already has?) or needs their head examined. I assume your hands are tied @justbiglee ,but seriously, if Dirt 4 is as amazing as anyone who's played it claims it is then why in the h$%!! wouldn't you guys start bragging about it?! And what's going on with F1 2015? Surely that is a lot closer to release and the only thing I've seen is some "leaked" footage or screen shots?! What the heck is going on with Codemasters?? Get it together. I'm only passionate because I enjoy your titles and I'd like to see you continue to exist as a company. The general perception is that Codies doesn't listen to their customers and that their releases are watered down from what they should be and because of this the company in general is a bit of a sinking ship. Please do yourselves a favor and move on some of this stuff. Let people know you guys are listening and that some good content is in the works for God's sake.

Same here. I either get the error 41, or the screen that says preparing to launch keeps cycling. I have re-installed it twice. I more than meet the recommended requirements. AMD FX8370 8 Gigs ram AMD R9 270 Windows 7 64 bit
