The only safe way to play is doing cumulatives saves in at least 2 external devices, i do in 3, two USB sticks and one in the PSN cloud. Cumulative as many programs does in PC, but "DIY" XD for consoles. I explained same days ago in another post the best way for me to do those saves without losing the less advance possible, yes, it is a pain but is the only way to "survive" and play the game till the fix arrives, if the corrupted saved games are possible to recovery the data, wich i have doubts, in PC is possible but in consoles....dunno. Today i had my first data corrupted saved game and i recover the previous save fron yesterday, i lose almost nothing because i was playing the challenges and the medals obtained are save in RaceNet, but everytime i advance in the game (SP or MP) an amount that i evalute an effort i saved, restart and try; with this method i only can lose a minimal part in advance of the game....or so. As the game saved is corrupted when exit or enter the game, i don´t know exactly, always is going to be lost some advance but...for the moment is the only way to go. I ALWAYS have A LOT OF CARE quitting the game, always in the main screen and after all car image are loaded, but finally i had my first....it was a question of time i think. SAVE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!! Salute.

That's no issue with the french version, english has the same. The sector times always refer to you best set time, while the messages seem to refer to your previous lap. Makes no sense at all. In fact it should refer to the overall best split times and not even just to your best lap.

Platform: Xbox 360 Problem: Known issue of glitched vehicle at $0 and game crash after racing. Possible semi-fix: After losing a couple of cars to this glitch, I might have come up with a possible semi-fix. When purchasing a car, it can sometimes take a while for the car to actually load and display on the screen. I think its vital that you wait for the car to appear before you hit purchase. I can't say for sure, but there's a massive possibility that being eager to purchase, I among others clicked purchase without waiting for the car to display or load. After a couple of successful purchases and running them online using this 'wait' method, I thought I'd see if it works for other people. There does seem to be a drawback. I successfully re-purchased an already glitched car. The new car showed a sale price above $0, so all seemed well. I also changed the livery to make sure I selected the glitch-free car and began racing. However, in the same spot as previous -- it crashed. I then attempted to sell the glitched car for $0 -- but it came up with 'Internal Error When Purchasing Car' messege. Anyway, in short -- I could successfully purchase and race new vehicles, providing I waited until the car loaded and displayed. Re-purchased vehicles looked okay, but still crashed the game. Perhaps someone with glitched cars could have a try at this also to see if this works globally and on different platforms -- or if it was just a coincidence and I've wasted both mine and your time, Good luck in racing! :)

I'm normally pretty pleased with forum improvements, but I'm finding a lot of faults with the new posting system. It's good that it's easier to post from a tablet or mobile, but first of all, I'm getting double line breaks when I hit 'enter' on my keyboard, which is annoying when it comes to making a list, like in the Predictor game. Also, the font when typing your post is Times New Roman, yet when you submit it, it turns to Arial. There is no way of changing font either, so it would be nice to have some other fonts. I really think Verdana would suit this forum. It's easier to read than Arial or Times New Roman and it looks good too. I also think some of the icons could be clearer. I think the 'Attatch Image' icon should be changed to an image icon instead of a file, and the 'URL' button isn't clear either. Also, when you click on 'Toggle full page' on the right hand side, you cannot see the icons on the full screen. You can only see them by hovering over them.

Level 110, 200+ online wins and then stupidly (in hindsight) I decided to buy the boost dlc. I downloaded it in game, when it had finished it asked to go back to the start screen to load the dlc so I accepted, selected my save and got the save file corrupted message. So in effect I've actually payed to have my game corrupted. :'( If the patch doesn't fix my save I might just give up on the game to be honest. Any news on the update for Xbox360?

I think the way the kick voting system works on autosport playlist lobbies is good, but sometimes find getting kicked out of lobbies for having to many points or being quick is quite unfair. I've heard a lot of complaints about this happening from a a lot of racers. You sort of earned the right to be that fast or start up the front. One person will kick you and will influence other to Aswell... An idea for fixing that may be to take the kick vote off the lobby screen and just have it on the racers screen that's recieved the kick vote so no one else can see it... This idea does have benefits and downfalls I suppose. And maybe in custom online lobbies, if you run for example a 5 race touring car session, maybe an oppertunity to kick unsporting racers out during each race would be more effective than having to wait till the end of the 5 races. Any views?

I read about that. Great news. In the cockpit will it overlay the actual mirror or will it be a rectangle in the middle of the screen?

What do you want in F1 2014? GAME IDEAS
duncancunningha replied to mateyapfc's topic in General Discussion
I'd like to be able to see, or have the option too see, all race positions on the screen with GAP to you or the leaders. Seems an easy one to display. The Career mode to have interviews again that you can shape the progress of getting offers from other teams or upsetting your own by saying how bad it is. Have the team manager say nasty things about your performance that you can comment on. Online dedicated servers... we'll pay for them too, I'm sure. Make it so we can have control over the leagues online, allow us to edit he results and give penalties etc... give us a place we all want to be. Get people really playing this online.. we love the games!! -
I bought Race Driver: Grid from Steam but it just gives a blank screen when I try to have it run surround either in native 5760x1080 or bezel correction 5850x1080 When I followed this instruction http://steamcommunity.com/app/12750/discussions/0/630800446055147740/ I was however, able to get the game running in 1920x1080 when I followed these Instructions http://www.switchbl8.nl/blog/2013/04/racedriver-grid-in-fullhd-1920x1080/#comment-264 16g ram 2 GTX 660ti Super-clocked edition 3gb I5 3570 3 Asus vg24ahmonitors Windows 8 I tried posting it on the regular support forum but its not working for me the same as it wasn't for this guy http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/130/support-form-not-working-on-main-codies-web-site-captcha-broken Thank you for your help

Aah, for that I recently got a Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition Plus. The quality it captures is great, and it just works. The best feature for me is that it has a button on top, you press it and it launches the program and starts recording straight away. Extremely useful for me as I switch input on my monitor when I play on console. The only thing that can be annoying, it seems to take 2-3 minutes to pick up your console when you turn it on. So you'll be looking at a blank screen, wondering why the passthrough isn't working, even tried rebooting the thing a few times, but it just seems to be a case of waiting for it to figure itself out. I did look at the Elgato too, it has everything you could want out of a PVR, does everything that the Hauppauge can do. But the main reason I didn't go for it is that it didn't have the one button press recording that the Hauppauge does.

RaceNet Challenge Always Crashing [XBOX360]
DLT222 replied to DLT222's topic in Technical Assistance
Update: I thought it might be that you needed to run at least one race with the purchased car, so I decided to bounce into a touring car playlist. Interestingly, after the race which I used the Cruze and the finishing positions were shown -- the game crashed again. I also purchased the Mini Cooper John Works and run this weeks Street circuit -- and exactly the same thing happens there -- it hangs on the 'Loading' screen, exactly like the Cruze. I've fully completed the Career mode and all the offline achivements, but now the game is rendered useless for online play. Please can someone give some advice, ask questions or have a look into this. Thanks -
Platform: Xbox 360 Location: RaceNet Challenge (Touring Car) Problem: Allows the event to complete and uploads my time to RaceNet. Shows the level increase and bankroll increase. Then hits black screen with 'Loading' icon bottom right and hangs. It's happened 6 times exactly at the same spot, forcing a hard reset each time. Bankroll and levels reset to prior level before event. Touring car (Cruze) purchased for 200k, unraced online, level 1 car. Also notice the achievement 'Here are the keys' has not been awarded. Any more details required, let me know. Hope someone can help and we can get this fixed asap. :-)

I have been unable to enjoy a serious racing game without a wheel since I got my Fanatec. It is far more fun. Just dont make the mistake of using a wheel in front of a small monitor if you have a single big screen in your home with an HDMI in. Playing at 1080p 60 frames per second on a 55 inch from about 4 feet is like a roller coaster sometimes. You can't get that feeling without a wheel.

Grid Autosport Nvidia Surround / Eyefinity bezel correction / scaling glitch
TerryRed posted a topic in Technical Assistance
I have found an odd glitch with Grid Autosport. I have three 42 inch tvs and one 27 inch monitor above the center screen in my simpit. I run the game in either 5760x1080 or 5840x1080(bezel corrected). This setup and resolution works fine without any problems on any other game including grid 2, f1 2013, dirt 2, dirt 3 ,etc... http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l34/thagerty/IMG_20140202_153647.jpg The problem is that when I run the game in 5840x1080 or 5760x108 with my 4th screen disabled (in windows, I also have second screen in game disabled), the games renders each screen as if it is zoomed in a little which makes the game look crappy (like lower resolution) and you lose ALOT of the game between each screen. Waaay more than you get with bezel correction. It doesn't have this problem if I run it at a much smaller resolution like 3840x720, or a standard resolution like 1920x1080. If I enable my 4th screen, and still have second screen disabled in-game, then the game renders correctly, and everything looks crisp and beautiful. No other game I have does this. Please fix as this is a big problem, and I have seen others with weird bezel correction problems as well... -
I was going through and completing the recent RaceNet challenges and saw that the Party challenge was for Alfa 4Cs, I knew that they were part of the Street discipline so I went and bought one but somehow wasn't in the car select screen for the challenge. Is this meant to be like this or is it a bug? If it is meant to be like this, do you think that vehicles you own should be aloud to enter Party events? I think it should, however it does make it fairer as you cannot tune or upgrade the car so it makes it basically the exact same car for everyone, so I'm kind of on the fence on this one

Hello. First of all, let me tell you that I'm totally amazed with GRID Autosport. It has been a long time since since I didn't hook up with a racing game this way. Even more, it's been a long time since I didn't plug in my racing wheel at all! Some time ago I used to play a lot of racing sims online, but due to time constraints I slowly started to stop playing; because you needed to race at specific times, and have at least one or two hours free.At first, I thought GRID Autosport was going to have a very arcadey feeling, so I was playing it with a 360 controller. After a couple of races, I found the handling to be very wheel-friendly, and started to play with my wheel ever since.I'm really impressed with the balance you have achieved in the vehicle handling. It includes the most important features of a full-blown racing sim, but still being forgiving enough to let you race; and still penalizing enough to make sure that the racers with the best skills finish ahead of the rest. You managed to find an excelent way to penalize on the fly players who cutted the track (and this is something that even some of the most advanced racing sims fail to detect at times); and including an impact rating was a very smart idea to sepparate players who like to crash into corners from players who like to race cleanly. However, I have a major complain that I can't skip.I live in Argentina, which is located in South America. The first day I tried to play multiplayer, I found absolutely no online games available. Every single option I choosed online, led me to a newly created room with just myself in it. I thought "well, it's the launch day, maybe a many people don't have it yet, or there is a problem with racenet".The days passed, and I kept trying. The only time of the day I was able to find about 5 or 6 people online was around 3, 4 or 5 PM. And they were all brazilians. Which actually was very surprising, since I was expecting to find a lot of european and american people online. However, every single time I found people to play online with, 80% of the room was full of brazilians. After doing some digging around, I changed the "download zone" from my Steam profile from "Argentina", to "UK - London". What a surprise it was when I joined online and found quite a few rooms full of people from all over the world.I understand that this sepparation may be because of latency issues. However, I played quite a lot of races with european people already, and have found out that the lag prediction system you included (or at least the way you use to mitigate latency) is excellent. I didn't get any complain from anyone telling me that I hit them when I actually didn't on my screen, nor the other way round. The online experience has been extremly satisfying so far. So, in behalf of south american players, I beg you to please reconsider this decision you took of sepparating people into regions when playing online. This is keeping a lot of people from enjoying this amazing multiplayer experience. If people have a stable connection, the online experience is pretty good even if the distance is large. If you are needing anyone living in south america to do testing, I gladly offer myself, and I'm sure many people would be really happy to help too. Thank you for reading :)

One thing I would like to see in the RaceNet challenges is to be able to see the target times for the medals, I.e. platinum, gold and so on, under the target time in the top right corner of the screen. This will let people know if they need to push harder if they're slow.

bought a car which I can't use and can't sell well well well
JackC515 replied to berre's topic in Technical Assistance
Lads, I found some sort of way around this but it's a pain in the arse, you have to leave the race at the results screen. Means you lose your lobby points though so if you're looking to keep them don't do this -
completely agree here are some of my multiplayer ideas: sort out lag(lagged cars, sidepod glitch and lag spikes)add online championships back in from f1 2011ethir improve one shot quali(custom setups) or get rid of itauto retire bug in quali needs fixingbetter penalty system (fix all corner cut loopholes but make the pen system cleverer)change the run off system instead of locking ur brakes you should just lose grip.sort out the pitlane(getting slowed down for no reason and uneccesarily getting held up. stacking needs to be improved its way to slow.vastly improve spectate mode by using proper onboard cameras and replay angles sort out inaccurances in laptimes between race director, timing screen and fastest lap pop up as they should all be syncd together but they are not and innaccurate sometimes

Please Turn off/ghost AI in Time Trial Racenet Challenges! and retry RN-Chlg. after xp/money gain
gaski replied to Photonik's topic in General Discussion
What he's getting at is that when you've done the challenge, you want the money/xp for it but 'retry' comes up before collecting the points. It's just bad functionality of the menus as most people will collect points and retry anyway. No point going through the menus to do this when they can re-arrange the menu functionality to make it sensible. It's the little things that detract from the great physics/handling etc. A number of things that bother me: You have to create a livery for every vehicle, you can't create global liveries such as one for time attack/race/endurance etc that can be applied to whatever event you are doing. Creating a racenet livery is fine but you should be able to make multiple liveries with relevant sponsors appropriate to race type Repair all functionCan't re-enter vehicle setup once you've started a racenet challenge. Have to quit out and go through menus again..VoIP during loading screen breaks up. Either put a 'no comms' icon on the loading screen or separate VoIP traffic from game loading traffic.AI in racenet challenges - mentioned this in another thread and said that the AI level should mirror what level you have in single player game. So infuriating when you're on a good time and they get in the way, especially in time attack! Ability to save last know commands in online/custom cup. Annoying that I have to reselect the same options to create the same game type I play or search for. Being able to name and save these session profiles would be better.Naming your custom game type session instead of having the hosts name. Being able to see which playsists are available in each class. Having to go into the same one you've just left because of idiots is very bloody annoying. Give us visibility of how many sessions are up!Spectator mode when you join session. Why is this missed off, it can be accessed once your on track so seems daft not to be able to have it when you join lobby...Edit... Having to re-rank the cars you've already tuned and sold on to manage garage space. Thought this wasn't the plan based on @loore comments pre-release? Garage spaces. I usually play Street but also love touring cars but because I can't keep up with the fastest in touring with my loaners, I tend not to bother with it that often. All my garage space is taken up with ranked Street / racenet challenge cars and as I quite like to win, my ventures into other disciplines are decided by my garage space. Sadly, garage space will remain as CM are DLC'ing 5 extra slots in the proposed packs Tuning/upgrading is another thing which I didn't like the sound of when I heard it was in and I still stand by it. Similarly to what I said above, people are making their descipline choice based on the cars they've ranked the most and have a higher chance of winning. This limits activity in places like open wheel/endurance and tuner which are probably not as popular as touring/street. Seems a bad way to promote the full disciplines on offer by having to tune/upgrade cars to be quick. -
So thats why i got a DLC messages in game last night about 11.30 pm uk time is it? I did notice a boost XP thing appear in the rewards screen. This prompts me another question for @Loore @Loore Does this boost pack mean that the car repair issues are no longer being looked at? Or is there still a plan to....fix that? Thx
-
It was fixed about 3 hours ago. I got a message while I was playing playing that I now own the booster pack and once I finished my race the game asked me to go back to the start screen so it could be enabled.

TruV8Power replied to joepineapples's topic in General Discussion
This is a most needed update. I have a high end PC and would like to be able to utilize this feature. Maybe even utilize this in second screen. -
Exactly the same for 2 of my 18 cars, both level 1, both $0 sale price, both crash the game on results screen. :/ Help. EDIT: Im on PS3 and my other 16 cars are fine.
