AUTOSPORT: ONE WEEK OF A 60 EUROS RIP-OFF. *EDITED* RaceNet FIXED!!

As far as i know thre´s an update without not too much info for PC that doesn´t fix anything about RaceNet or corrupted saved games mainly because it was done before these common CM problems appear, i said done, not release. On the other hand they are working on a patch for the corrupted fie that was finished yesterday and is in QA to be tested; the time to be released in Sony or MS is obviuos that will take more time but this is not an issue; i repeat that i´m trying to figure out how they are going to get back the save game in console, let´s wait. I´m not afeccted yet by this problem, lucky but who knows...i recommended exit the game always since the start screen. Lat year was impossible to fix because of the nature of the save file, only some PC user could touch somethings and recovery fro another users PC savegames. And finally the RaceNet account problems, there´s no nothing about that. I spent a lot of time and have a "solution", an extreme and undesirealble but it exist and i explained in the tech forum; what irritates me a lot is the no response, the sensation that are only a minor group of usesrs and the absence of info. Somewhere between friday and saturday the servers "corrupt" the way AS "see" the accounts in RaceNet and since then many people can connect; the season pass could be a reason, even the digital version and the Black Edition, but in any case is a patch solution i think, there are more info provided by user than CM, well in fact CM doesn´t give any info about that. Last year happens something similar and was fixed without any patch, it was only a server from CM, but it lasted two months, great!!, and an ugly discuss wich is not going to repeat, at least for me, it doesn´t rather. This kind of things use to be bored for those who have no problem and maybe see other user as annoying blaming or complaints everytime but hothing so far than the reality; i like the game, i love CM games, i have the season pass with my eyes blind...but is inadmissible that year by year, game by game the problems are the same. Ok, other games has corrupted files?? yes, only a few and it never happens to me, only with CM and only repeatedly. If it is difficult or not to fix the corrupted issue?? i don´t know too but my experiences tell me that in console will be more near than impossible, BUT after years with this issue there´s a really perfect solution what many other does: save game, SP am MP, in the company servers. If it was rhe case these problems shouldn´t be exist and if exists is fixable almost at the moment. And CM games are not cheaper that the rest, thre´s a solution REAL solution since many time ago, but not, this time AGAIN the users have to wait o simply left the game because this unplayable errors. Nvidia Graphics Card Issue? Game Freezes

Mx1000 you have freeze on gtx770 ? (not sounding rude mate) /\ /\ /\ this is running on - Intel i7 920 2.6ghz (stock clock) 8 thread 4 core - Asus P6t Deluxe - Corsair hydro h100 - Corsair Dominator 18gb DDR 3 1600mhz - EVGA 760 GTX SC 2Gb | Drivers currently on : beta 340.43 - Creative SoundBlaster x-fi platinum fatal1ty champion series - Samsung 24" 1920x1080 res 2ms monitors x2 (dual) - 3x Samusung 1TB 7200rpm sata II Vsync is on and perfect 60fps . even whilst recording there is a noticable difference between mobile (m) graphics and the desktop. the first thing with freezing / stutters is to lower msaa / aa and the rest. they eat the most gpu power. then its the big list ( worst offenders at the top ) - ambient occlusion - advanced lighting - anisotropic filtering - global illumination - water - ground cover you will also notice that i have turned off "Advanced blending (intel)" < one of those "chuck it over the shoulder and get it dead senter of the bin" jobs. :D anyone on a 670 above and 760 basic above desktops should be able to run it high to ultra. mobile you will probably max it at high. Including HD Tx pack Do not forget .... to great your own custom rules in firewalls & av. so ie comodo you will need to create a custom rule in "hips" for it to have free access to your harddrive and internet (this is at your own risk) my self i have entered it via active process and gridautosport.ext set to "trusted application" .. the game every second is looking and saving to the drive aswell as chatting on the internet even in singleplayer. av and firewalls if you do not give rules will slow the game. ok .. So to continue my battle to fix this here is my tweaks and attemps. 1. updated my graphics driver ( gtx 760 ) to latest beta 340.43 - tested to windown mode > worked - Tested to full screen > Failed resulting in black screens - Restart - no error log in event viewer. 2. tweaked the C:\Users\-\Documents\My Games\GRID Autosport\hardwaresettings\Hardware_settings_config xml line " <second_screen quality="0" /> </hardware_settings_config> " ( 0 = low quality ) - Tested to windown > worked - Tested to full screen > Failed resulting in black screens - Restart - no error log in event viewer. this will sound silly but.. the issue is when the game loads (full screen) both monitors go to black screens . ( including single monitor if i disconnect one. ) - This also happened before the patch. as part of the loading / booting process for the game. - this does not happen if you load the game to window mode. - if you load the game to window mode and then enter options and set it to full screen . it will trigger both monitors or single to go black . this then stops all communication with keyboard / mouse / controller The 15 second revert counter (incase the option does not work) also doesnt trigger in all situations. Sorry to sound arsy .. but how does this happen ( not much wall left to hit my head against... ) this patch has F* my game.. yes i could play it in window .. but would you drive a v8 with one gear? i dont even have the option to uninstall and reinstall due to the fact that if i re-download via steam (only option) it will automaticly download and install the update patches.. ok ... for the record. game worked and is beautifull. Untill lastnight.. 04/07/14 patch for Grid Autosport comes down via steam Believe its PN 030714 and now Dead.. Before i could load the game up full screen 1920x1080 60hz on monitor 1. and monitor 2 would be happy on desk top. Now. . load up the game and Black screens on BOTH monitors and audio still working ( some times ) .. this can also cause my machine to not respond to keyboard mouse or controller,, ie RESTART.. now i have attempted like always to resolve the issue my self. ( i know and have fix many issues with codi games in the past.) the best i can do to get the game running is to edit C:\Users\-\Documents\My Games\GRID Autosport\hardwaresettings\Hardware_settings_config xml and set Fullscreen to false and this will allow the game to run.. i have tested.. Different resolutions to fullscreen -- FAIL Minimum Resolutions and Graphic options to Minimum -- FAIL unplugging my second monitor and all on minimum -- FAIL Deactivating all programs that would require/use Dx Files ( ie bandicam / ts... other then required by os ) -- FAIL. so current point results in ZERO full screen gameplay.. however.. there is a few last options for me to use before i start comparing code. 1. nvidia control panel tweaks 2. the actual game code.. 3. installing the beta drivers for my card. << probly the one i will do first. ( chuckle) i have looked into this part of the patch Nvidia SLI Fix - Resolved instances of certain SLI configurations causing particle smoke to flicker. Physics Fix - Fixed rare instances of missing physics on detached pieces of vehicle bodywork. Graphical Fix - (DX10) - Resolved DirectX10 compatibility issues which caused particle rendering issues on certain PC configurations. Nvidia 3D VISION Surround Fix - Improved 3D Vision Surround compatibility within cockpit cams when using a triple monitor configuration. UI Fix - (Splitscreen) - Fixed instances of the UI displaying incorrect vehicle information. Plus for the record there is no event log in "event viewer" of any issue regard the game?! .. however i do not currently have the time to do this as my Bills paying job requires me to work. (DOH) as always the pc info is : Intel i7 920 2.6ghz (stock clock) 8 thread 4 core. GRID AUTOSPORT: game pauses for no reason and full screen switches to window mode

Every 10-30 races the game pauses itself, like some invisible hand pressed the Escape key and I am switched to window mode, like somebody also presses Alt+Enter.I've tried to outsmart this bug but it did not work: even if I play in window mode, I still get the Game Menu once in a while. I don't know what to do. I've closed all my application running in the background and I even turned off my antivirus. Please help! -

When we pick up a team able to decide who is my team mate for example in Lotus Grosjean isn number but I prefer for example MALDONADO so I can choose him. hi season I never played with str becue I prefered Riccrdo not Vegrne. Able to reate our own f1 driver replacing an other driver in f1 and create helme put face to him. Car editor mode not just for pc (I can't do it even in pc) Classic mode can be but to be honest from the big youtubers Tiametmarduk Aarava never played classic cars. I never like classic cars because I'm young. Season challange hard difficult shoul be legend its not even hard in professional. Take the ****ing tyre scaling away back to the 2012 tyre wear. I explainde why in my previous comments. AI should struggle for tyres no way posting fastest laps when we go off the cliff. Fix the black screen. See transition every time for example seeing the shadows becoming bigger as the race goes on, choose when wewant race dawn maybe 8 oclock or choose when we want the race and transition as the race goes on (sorry for repeating) SAVEBLE REPLAYS like Gran turismo 5 (i never played 6) save it so we don't need cpture card or just recrd what we doing in the game. Paddock system back with the 2010 stlye. Able to switch off tyre wear. Choose what kind of upgrade what you want to put on the car for example tyre wear upgradeor front wing upgrade. Back all 3 practise sessions No need better legend AI I like to dominate the game by winning by a minute maybe more aggressive AI but for me this year was too hard. Realistic 2014 engine sound for the new game. E-mail system is a stupidness I want maybe agent. Manual pitstops but with our own hadling turning in not just braking. PLEAS leave your opinion guy if I get a lot of likes maybe Codemasters will get these changes applie so if yu like it give a like or awsome,:-bd if you not just leave a dislike:-q. Thanks @justbiglee and Codemasters for featuring my rig. Thanks @gfRally I love the look of the old 70's rally cars so I wanted to capture that spirit in my Avenger. It is a pretty head turning car in real life, I always get people coming up to me and asking me about it. I have even had a few people leaning out the window of their car taking photos of it on the motorway. My next V8 Avenger project is going to be done in a Group B/DRM style. Something like an Audi Quattro S1 or a Capri Turbo. I have been busy upgrading my rig and playing some Grid Autosport. This is my latest upgrade. A set of DSD Wilwood pedals. I tried them out in Grid last night and they are so much better than my old Fanatec Clubsport pedals. They are super heavy but they have a great feel to them. Instead of just using my ankle to brake, now I need to use my whole leg then use the ankle to make fine adjustments. It really helps when you are following someone into a corner, you can really modulate the pressure to match their speed. I am loving the new zoomed in cockpit, it is pretty much perfect FOV for me rig and TrackIR works awesomely. I have also been playing around with the "Second Screen" option in Grid. In other rig related news. I have started designing stage 2 of my motion simulator.

Bumper cam needs to be a lot higher up, both chase cams needs a sticky option and lot higher up. In GRID2 we had amasing camera mod by AgentHeX 0007, that was perfect solution and was working online: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/camera-mods.334/ "Camera Heights Raised - Cam FX OFF Mod raise the bumper cam height to 1.1000 and both thechase camera heights to 2.1000 for ALL cars models. (Higher than default)And have a lot of the camera shaking/bouncing FX turned OFF.The idea behind these mod is that I found the default values for the bumper camerato be to low to the ground and the chase cameras view to be to low behind your carobscuring the view of the track. I also found the shaking camera effects a littledistracting so that can now be disabled or enabled if you prefer. LagRoll ON or OFF: This mod turns off the lag and roll of the camera when using chase cam view,The car will stay in the centre of your view when driving instead of swayingleft and right. This makes driving in chase view more like bumper cam mode andI personally find that it makes driving your car more precise as it is easier to lineyour car up with the apex of corners more accurately. It does take a while to getused to but once you have adjusted your driving style it can work great especiallyin combination with some of the other mods. Car Pull Away DEF, LOW or OFF: The idea behind this mod is that I did not like the way the car pulled furtheraway from your point of view the faster you car travels when in chase cam mode.I found it made picking you racing line unpredictable especially when cameraroll and lag is turned on which it is by default. Options:Car Pull Away DEF: This is the default game values, nothing has been changed.Car Pull Away LOW: The car will now take longer to pull furthest away from your viewpoint.Car Pull Away OFF: The car will not pull away from the camera at all. With this mod theposition of the camera has also been adjusted so that the car is in full view at all times, whereasby default when the car is stopped it is very close the the bottom of the screen or slightly offthe screen and pulls away from your viewpoint as speed increases. Enjoy, AgentHeX 007" And most important that this mod can be used online, and no any problems with saving. Except DLC cars. If codies can impement such functionality in options, many loyal racers will be very grateful for that.

Ive just noticed while browsing the custom lobby list, there are the symbols at the top of the screen for Collisions on/off , entrants, damage, flashbacks, DLC Seeing the symbol for DLC has me somewhat concerned. DLC in Grid 2 was a rip off. It couldnt be used as everyone expected from DLC. You say you have learned from the mistakes on Grid 2's DLC delivery.......well I have a question then...... Why do we need a symbol to tell us if DLC is enabled in a certain lobby? I can only assume that its going to work the same way as Grid 2. Will DLC be available to use in the online playlists, if there are other players in the lobby who do not own the DLC? Are you assuming everyone will download a "compatibility pack"? This needs to be absolutely crystal clear. If its the same as Grid 2, save yourselves the time and effort and dont release any.

Freeking ridiculous!!! So after the 50+ time trying the eliminator challenge, and failing, after achieving platinum in all the others, resulting in my putting my controller through the screen and taking an hour to calm down, this mode is shockingly bad! the AI so much as blows at you and you spin out. Crapiest thing i have ever played

some ai are not starting in private matches and causing the end timer to NOT kick in therefore you are stuck in the race end screen and have to quit

Why the Subaru wrx-sti got the right headlight how can i say, it looks open while the left one is normal? And i noticed that also in grid 2 was the same you see what's that?Anyway I must report on xbox 360 that when i watch a replay sometimes for one second i see an horizontal line a bit higher than the middle of the screen like a little split of the screen and for the entire screen and it's very annoying!

i agree with the guy here.... In chase view car must go closer to the screen cause its meaningless to exist so much 'dead' space in the back of the car....Or maybe camera to go higher... About angles i always prefer in racing games in chase view the camera to stick in back of the car (Gran turismo style) and not to see the side part of the cars when you turn ... I think you could add as gameplay camera the top of the car view shown after race finishes .. this view is gameplay camera in project cars.. about hood cam in some cars you see a lot of the hood and in some other cars you see it very little...this should be fixed for having a common sense about this view in all of cars... L-)

On PS3 I find with the chase and far chase camera that a lot of the view is blocked by your own car - making bends blind, even with the racing line on (which you also can't see!) It's also strange that there is a "rooftop" type view in open wheelers and only one chase cam - this view would be great in the other disciplines as well. Found an image of the car's position on screen in Grid, and compared it to GAS with the chase cam - even though the view angles seem pretty similar, car seems to be significantly higher up the screen in GAS, meaning less of the track ahead is visible.

I entered an online playlist session where all the other drivers were level 1 or 2. They vote kicked me before I even had a chance to race... But I think its better to have a votekick system than not to have one, even if it gets abused. Don't know what the motivation is to abuse it. Does a faster driver winning races really ruin their experience that much? They can still have a good race amongst themselves. Is the number on your screen at the end of the race really that important? Oh well, there are some things that I will never understand, I suppose.

I could make use of an "Endurance Pack": Track-wise: Nurburgring NordschleifeCircuit de la SartheI was playing RACE 07 prior to the release of Autosport and I always found it tricky to keep it all together for the length of a lap as I don't think I ever managed to get the car settings right. Autosport could prove to be less punishing from this point of view and that is exactly what would make Nordschleife a great, great deal of fun to drive around on. Game modes: Endurance Mixed Real life races are designed to have both GTs AND Prototypes on track. It makes for a lot of the unique experience endurance racing is. I would like to see a "Mixed" class added that allows you to split a 16 car field between GT 1, GT2 and GT Ultimate. Cars: Audi R18 e-tron quattro (GT Ultimate)BMW Z4 GT3 (GT Group 2)Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 (GT Group 2)Lexus RC-F GT500 (GT Group 1)Assuming no one can get near Porsche or Ferrari licenses...

This is fun, but is there any way I can change the name from 'Player 2' in split screen? I will be spending quite a bit of time racing with mates and this would be a handy feature.

I Hope you guys really fix the "controller settings not saving issue" (my MS wheel works in game but is not officially supported). I'm getting real fed up with reconfiguring the controls everytime I start up GAS. If I remap the keyboard settings to my wheel controls it works but IT STILL DOESN'T SAVE. I have to redo it every session. Hitting enter or this or that button at the title screen makes no difference whatsoever. What's also beyond me why Codemasters choose NOT to apply the paint/livery/rims customisation options to single player (career or custom cup). Why only multiplayer Loore??? I play singleplayer and now it's like i'm being punished/penalized for that. I really hope you guys implement these options to single player also, in a future patch (shouldn't be that hard to do).

Hi Roger, yeah, the actual screen surface is made from hardboard (Masonite), 1/16" (3mm) and spray painted mid grey :), the frame from some recycled wood from a bedframe cut out with a wood router... cost (in the UK) was approx. £30 for the screen including board (£5, paint £15 and glue £10. projector was about £800 though lol. oh and yes, it was me who had did some cam files for the community on Grid1/2... among many others.

I remember codemasters saying that only the Mini cup is co-op for split screen.
