The only way these "hot laps" could look any more arcade is if they had INSERT COIN/CREDIT(S):0 flashing in the middle of the screen constantly

its like ford saying we have the new 2014 model coming out in 2 months hears a few screen shots of it and hears a few crap videos to go with it, but we wont release any more info till the day its released......

@Loore Yes, counting down is unrealistic, but as I said, a progress relating to the sectors of the track should be easily possible I think and gives a way clearer info even for people that don't instantly know how long a lap round a certain track in a certain car usually takes. Theres 3 or 4 secotrs on each track, what should give a status update every 30 seconds or so and that way a pretty decent indicator, if it's a wee-break or a cigarette-break. ;) And of course, unfortunately you don't see anything about progress/status in the lobby selection screen, what really can be a pain in the a**. Pretty often I can decide between two lobbys, just to see, that the one I entered just started the race. When entering the other one, same again, just started. You only know, if they're still in the lobby and from that on which race. Something like 'race finished' would be nice, to know that I can join the next, if I enter right now. Or aswell the progress, would be much better. I had times where I searched 20 minutes for a decent lobby, cause I didn't wait the 6 minutes in one, till they finished and then always missing the next race in any lobby by 5 seconds. That is super annoying.

Looks like Codemasters deleted the custom livery & mod thread....
Loore replied to hoonhead's topic in General Discussion
Wasn't deleted, is still at the top on my screen :) -
@Loore I dont know if that been said previously, cant find a search engine on the site... But it would be great to see ending result of small championships. You do a 5 race championship and every turns you see the results with bots pts and everything... Last race end and all you see is players points all in a messy order ! 1. Show off last pts pannel wih bots if they were part of it, just like after race 1,2,3,4 ! 2. Show it in a proper order, just like all previous boards shown 3. Give option to take a snapshot from that screen (store to PC/PS3/360 !!! :) So clubs that do events can keep it and shot results on web pages or facebook pages. That would make crisp and clean result pictures of endings boards instead of phone picture shots we must do right now... Replay save after a race would be a nice option too... So we could know who are the bashers doing bowling halley trick in first curves ! :) One other thing... The Racenet event is usually something we dont platinum on first try, it's really long and anoying to get kicked out to main Racenet Menu after every single races. We should have option to Race again before map is whiped out from console memory. I know that we can Retry, but retry dont give any cash or XP to last race done. We should get xp and credits after race, THEN give a retry, before is flush any info of track. We actually need to wait all the time for map to reload on every single try on PS3, I try it 50 time s in a row, i load map 50 times...

Yup this is the best thing to do, usually if you click on a players name in the lobby you'll have the option to view their profile, this will take you to their xbox/psn/steam overlay screen and you can report them from there.

Trial play society for media carried out in Japan
MUZZARIOL replied to XPERIA158's topic in General Discussion
I don't get it, why is he playing F1 2013 when this topic is about new pics from F1 2014? it is 2014 not 2013 that's what it looks like. The main reason probably you can't tell is that there is no difference between the 2 :p . The only thing that I think gives it away is the LED screen on the wheel looks different than the digital layouts used in the earlier games @sjsharp2010 I think mitch was just taking the p!$$ lol (but cant be entirely sure haha) -

Correct afrodude41 the actual Ferrari wheel has a smaller screen (smaller that the Merc powered cars for example) at the top of the wheel under the rev lights, and then a series of knobs underneath..... Even the Ferrari badge isn't there.... Now we know why no hot laps are being shown this year (and nothing else  ) because people will complain (as they did when the announcement vid was shown on 31st July 14 and people questioned the accuracy of the wheels) This looks more like a Marussia wheel to me!! More laziness from CM.... What have you been doing for the last 11 months since 2013 was released??? Of course we won't get an answer to my question........... -
Formula (C) - Wind audio effect lost after using "look back"

Hasn't been fixed yet. Thankfully my other issue (triple screen wouldn't save bezel corrected resolution when restarting the game) is fixed with recent updates. -
What Happened to 3D Vision ? Why is it broken ?
fitbrit replied to RogerRamjet77's topic in Technical Assistance
Cool. I thought I as the only one where it wasn't working. I think the 3d introduces unacceptable lag on my projector and 120" screen though. -
Devs definitly not thought about people suffering of dislexia... Not been able to see end result while you type. It like typing while not looking at the screen or keyboard !

OK I agree the moto gp games are excellent for the budget and resources available to milestone, and clearly made with passion, but there are really auful bugs. On the PS4 version for example there is a relatively high possibility that you and all the AI on screen will be teleported forwards, usually meaning that you end up in a random wall or gravel trap. The AI is also 2.5 seconds quicker in the race than in all other sessions, meaning you could qualify on pole but struggle to finish 6th in the race. They're good games, but Milestone's bugs are much worse than Codies.

PS4 outselling the Xbox One 3-to-1 as total sales gap grows to 9 million vs. 5 million ...
RevolvingPrawn replied to oeicoeic's topic in Off-topic Discussion
Ooooh yea, I remember the tokens now :p Tbh, they came up on screen for me once, I pressed to see what it was, decided I'd make do without and it's never come up again since :) So I guess they are there, but they're very unobtrusive. -
Well I enjoyed that race even if you didn't... We arrived in time with the end of the GP3 race, so when we got into the fan park (behind Eau Rouge), the GP2 cars were heading onto the track. They make a fantastic noise. After the first lap, we slowly walked up the hill and along the Kemmel straight. We got to Les Combes as the race was finishing. It's really that far, even if we stopped to take photos quite often. The hill is enormous. Games & TV give no concept of how steep it is, nor that the downhill after Le Source is so great. We made our way round to the top of pouhon, the right hander named Bruxells. From there you can see miles. I'm not joking. Again, the sheer elevation is astounding. Having got the the bottom of the circuit, we made out way up the inside of Blanchimont, and made it to Bus Stop in time for the drivers parade. We were sat in the trees on the banking at Bus Stop Chicane, so there is next to no chance we appeared on telly :( We had a good view of the braking zone, but because of the trees getting good photos was difficult, hence most of my good photos are from the support races. We had a giant screen quite close, so we got to see the Ham/Ros incident. Massa was *****, Kimi was good (finally), Ricciardo was great, again. After the race we made out way up to the side of the grandstand to see the podium. We didn't boo Rosberg, but it was loud either way. After that, we got onto the track at Le Source, walked to the base of Eau Rouge, and made our way back to the bus. Great day!

Codemasters please sort out the penalties
RTAnoskills replied to RTAnoskills's topic in General Discussion
Magnasson ended up with a 20 second penalty for running Alonso wide. No contact just drove him out wide onto the grass. I wounder what sort of penalty the F1 officials would have awarded Mad Dad for his 1st contact. When you say he's along side me, he's actually no where to be seen, then screams into the screen and hits me, and starts shouting at me. Then he hits me again, when im tryin to recover form being hit the 1st time. Micky was behind me, same as Rosberg was behind Hamilton. I was in the process of taking the turn, and then I find a car in my door. Contact, in a NON contact sport caused my the car behind. I can race anyone fairly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9K6biqrEsA I can do that, or I can do a Mad Dad or micky video. -
That test is for you to be introduced to the Flashback feature. To pass it you need to go to Instant Replay and rewind the replay to a moment when you didn't have a puncture and then use a Flashback. (There should be an on-screen guide for it when your tyre gets a puncture)

Not as irrittating as the fact that, having to sit 8ft or so from the screen as I do when playing F1, they were so illegible that I’ve no idea what most of them said anyway. Yeah this irritated me too. Especially that picture of the back of a Mercedes, and the text is white, so half of the text is really hard to see
-
No, because all they do is screw you over due to the AI's incompetance. Doesn't really affect the realism anyway, the only way these games could get any more arcade is if they had INSERT COIN - CREDIT(S)/0 flashing in the top right corner of the screen constantly
-
none of this is possible due to "licencing issues". No in game comments can have an effect on the virtual world championship.. FOM will have Codies heads on sticks if the licence is breached in any way. Rumour has it FOM wants "Bernie says THINK BEFORE YOU DRIVE" to be watermarked on the screen at all times, doing anything unauthorised in game could land you a severe lawsuit. Personally i think FOM have gone too far, either way Codemasters cant be blamed at all

The Vita remote play is awful. Fifa plays at sub 30fps and you have to use the touch screen for some buttons. All games play at a low framerate compared to just playing from a PS4, in short it's a gimmick. The Wii u is better for that as you still use the same controller and the framerate is the same as just using the TV so no I wouldn't buy a vita just for that.

Massa pulled of with an engine problem, it just doesn't show on the screen like F1 06, but I wish it did.
