Its just after 2:49, its at 2:52 specifically. As I said it simply pauses the game without notice. You say there is no harm done, but would you like your game to pause every other lap? It really dose affect your race. There's not a lot of point getting a better recording of the problem, there is really no consistency with it. I am not doing anything unusual, I'm just racing... and then a pause menu. No particular spots on the track, nothing. So the random pause issue is still happening, I thought that it might have been a service running in the background taking priority or something so the game would pause itself, like if you were to alt+tab the game would pause. I went into 'msconfig' disabled all services that weren't Microsoft. Tested, with no success. I noticed a couple of programs were still running even though I disabled them. I went into 'services.msc' forced the programs to stop running. Tested, with no success. So I think I can safely say its not a service running in the background that's the problem, unless its a Microsoft service. I tried another thing, I remember downloading a program called 'vJoy' (this was before I bought a 360 controller) in order to try and use my X1 controller to game with (the drivers weren't out yet). That was a bit of a fail due to the fact that the game is not compatible with the X1 controller anyway. But I thought maybe that was confusing the application somehow, but I un-installed the program and drivers anyway. Tested, with no success. Also, just to note, I'm playing in full-screen mode. Don't know if that makes a difference. So then I thought I'd try and see if it was the controller that was faulty, I unplugged it and used my keyboard instead. After about 30 mins, I didn't have a problem (other than my driving). But I still don't really understand why it's happening, its a new controller, and the drivers are up to date. I don't know why, but I also thought maybe if I plug my controller back in but unplug my keyboard something magical would happen. Seems as though it has, played for about 20 mins and no problems. So I don't know if somewhere along the line I fixed it or not, but I will update again if the issue persists.

I don't know if you know this or not but, console patches/updates take a little longer to get to us. Because CM has to submit the new info to Microsoft and Sony for a Quality Assurance process. This can take anywhere from one week to a month. Then the new info gets a scheduled release date. Then hopefully that eta is close to what these 2 companies lay out for us. Sorry for the many abbreviations. i would like to add a few things to the list. First off I would like to see the numbers on the cars either have a more defined white or your choice of colored outline. Right now the #'s are hard to read against a black background. Or even an option to put a square behind the #'s to make the digits stand out easier. While on the subject of numbers. Why do the other guy's in my club have to have the same number on they're car? Shouldn't they have an option to use a number of they're choice too? To resolve this I have not used any numbers. If CM does not want to go through making the cockpit area more defined. Then could they at least make the steering wheel and the driver's hands more defined. At least on my screen I cannot really see them that well or sometimes I cannot see them at all. And of course the corrupt save file problem. But that has been already confirmed that CM is working on this problem.

I would suggest putting them on in your garage. They normally default you to your club car at the pre race screen. Oh, thanks for joining, by the way.

GRID AUTOSPORT The Soundtrack - Will it be available to download?
KurtG85 replied to DiRTKiNG808's topic in General Discussion
Just give your glasses, plates and silverware a sensual massage if you enjoy the theme of that title screen track. :P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMgaHRddQUw You could probably use a converter to DL that. -
bought a car which I can't use and can't sell well well well
berre replied to berre's topic in Technical Assistance
Becoming better and better: yet another car which I can't use nor sell!!! Bought a Chevrolet Cruze: same as above if I use it online the game freezes after the race when the result screen appears. If I want to sell it, it says 0$ and an error which tells me I can't sell it!! So I spend 100.000 for 2 garage slots and I can't use it. That game becomes more costly than Gran Turismo!!! -
Grid Autosport Crashes to Black Screen with sound in Background - SOLVED
langoorji replied to langoorji's topic in Technical Assistance
It may not be of help to all but I think I found a solution. Initially I was using an additional GTS450 along with GTX560ti. I placed the extra card for second monitor as 2nd DVI port on my 560 is broken. But my 2nd monitor died last week and I pulled the 450 to save power. The second card was handling PhysX. As the game crashes happened during dynamic collisions, I thought reverting to two card setup. To my surprise I haven't seen that black screen crash whole day. I have raced endurance in career and 12-16 lap custom races on Algrave and San Francisco successfully. I will test it furthur whole weekend and hope to mark this post as solved. -
Thanks for the replies guys will keep trying as i love the game and it looks awesome on my new 24" HD screen.

Hey guys, I think the convergence will be the same as GRID2 - we deliberately prevent 3D elements from jumping out of the screen in this mode, to prevent visual collisions with UI elements. Does this cause you problems?

delete the view blocking bar of the honda
scottishwildcat replied to Tecnologica's topic in General Discussion
It’s not even that — in real life your eyes focus beyond things that are on your windscreen, and you can move your head by tiny amounts when you have to. Otherwise you’d freak out every time you used your windscreen wipers. Unfortunately, you can’t do that on a flat screen TV. -
Race won't end - AI don't start the race
Yellowpinkie replied to babaluk's topic in Technical Assistance
babaluk said: Ive hosted a few rooms where some of the ai drivers fail to start the race. They just become transparent. The rest of the field finishes the race and we continue on to the next screen. That's it. The race never ends. I have to quit out of the event. Anyone else seen this? Fix? yes I've seen that too -
Sorry about this big monolith chunk of text, the forum dont seem to like my iPad and drop spaces and line jumps... :( Yesterday night I started a 5 race championchip with friends and some bots. All was great and pointage were well display BUT the most important one, the LAST ! When it came time to see final results of the hole 5 races, we got a partial score board of only the human racers, no more bots results, guys that left had scores removed from screens and it was not in order... It was shown only as a reference of point made by guys playing for the Next race to start, becaut it cycle another 5 races right away. There should be a full scoreboard of the 5 races, with an options to screen capture it for shooting score on facebook or just save it on concole or PC, then a switch to next races... Having scoreboards automaticaly done in game is a must for events organizers like me, but if final result is useless it destroy the concept. It need a little tweek to be absolutly perfect. :) Make my day guys, fix it ! :) Zalex on PSN ZalexQc on codemaster Pres of RS Motor Club

Only view I really use is bonnet/hood cam and it's fine as it is, please don't alter it or just add option to change height for those complaining about it being too low. Near chase cam is too low and car is too far forward in to the screen.

When I went to run this week's challenges, the game first showed a summary screen of the events I completed from last week & awarded me quite a lot more credits (more credits for the events I placed better in).

berre replied to berre's topic in Technical Assistance
On PS3, bought a GT1 Honda HSV, when I race online, I keep freezing after the race on the result screen. After 5 freezes I decided to go to "my vehicles" in order to sell it: Value 0$ !!! and when I try to sell it I get an error telling me it can't be sold!!!! So I spend money for a car which I can't race with nor sell it..... pffffffffffffff -
GRID AUTOSPORT REVIEW // Vote in your score!
Workhorse9696 replied to DiRTKiNG808's topic in General Discussion
Would've rated the game higher but loses marks for no new Street tracks. Other than that I really like the improvements to the menu system, everything seems to load faster, the addition of practice and qualifying, engineer radio is a great touch, saves me looking at the screen and screwing my lap up, the simcade handling is very enjoyable. The AI is a big improvement over Grid 2, really appreciate the option to increase race lengths in career, using 3x at the moment, and it really helps knowing I don't have to crash and ram my way to the front before the race ends like Grid 2. Also like to mention the reduced impact of car on car collisions which makes the game so much better. All in all very happy with the game, well done to CM and all of us who gave good feedback back on the old forum =D> :-bd -
It's kind of late but I shared on the forum for quite awhile. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waLDQpgTDI8 Check often the video tread so you may find videos of some of the racenet run. They may come out randomly by users who feel to share. http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/692/grid-autosport-videos-and-screen-shots-thread#latest

Yes you need to back your save up on a regular basis but make sure that you use 2 USB sticks and keep them labeled or something because if you only use 1 then chances are your going to overwrite a good save with a bad save because you wont know if you save is corrupted until you start the game back up. Good thinking, batman . . .I'd saved them to another drive but like the idea of using a couple of usb sticks . . . ~O) In a case so "extreme" like this i use three places, two USB mem stick and the cloud, in my case PSN, and are stepped saves, so i do one in the actual moment for example and save in the cloud, then i save the next day i play (if i progress a lot i save two times that day, just in case) but left the previous saved file in the cloud as it was, and then a third in a step forward so all of them are "separate" from a ...say 10% in advance, with this way i ensure that if i save a corrupted file i should have another step, back with a 10% less wich is an amount of lost progress permissible to repeat again. (With PS3 you only can save the game file when the game is not running, not as PC wich allows to save in-game progress, at least some games. In fact as Crazy Train said you never know when the save game is corrupted or not, becuase it could became corrupted anytime the game is exited or quit, ´nuff said if the game freezes or someone exit the game in the wrong screen or part of the game the possibilities of a crrupted "save" increases in an exponential way. Another thing that scare me a lot is that sometimes a game corrupted itself so it can´r read ANY previous save file before, any backup, sometines because of an update that doesn´t allow the game to read any previous file....is a rare escenario but it happens to me in PC only one time some years ago with an stupid pinball game; i hope that AS not be that case.... All in all, i do this save-backup "paranoia" only in this especial situation with CM games, usually i only backup in a "fixed" 16 Gb memory with is always atacched to the system and each month i save in the PSN cloud all the games i´ve payed, so two are enough. I think that after almost a year i can´t get over the Grid 2 "drama" last year; really.. :(( :)), it was a great annoyance and very frustrating. Cross your fingers and let´s wait to the patch that will avoid this situation. Salute and.....SAVE THE GAME!!! <:-P

I'm probably not going to say anything that hasn't already been said but I like to get my tuppence in now and again. Likes: - Car handling (which is the major deciding factor for whether I choose to stick with a game or not).- Menus. Not perfect but much improved on Grid 2 and really pleased we can now see what track it is while picking cars etc. That said I would like an option to return to the paddock from the middle of a racenet challenge event in order to retune the car, instead of having to quit out and go through the relevant menu options again. Would also like the ability to repair the car in one go instead of having to do it three times. Dislikes: - Championship points based grid order for reasons I've explained in other threads- Repair bills v Winnings (both in playlists and custom cups). I know CM are looking at this so won't go on about it lol.- Racenet challenge leaderboards - unless you're in the top 20 or so you can't see what position you're in from the in game leaderboards and you can't see who is in 1st place. You just show as being 21st all the time with the person 20 places infront of you showing as 1st.- Lack of track variety in online playlists. It seems each car only has around 2-4 tracks available to it. I'm already getting fed up with driving the classic mini around Brands Hatch Indy circuit and the ute on Panorama.- Having to re-level up cars that you've owned, sold and then bought again despite reading on here that we wouldn't have to do this.- Corrupt game save issue... again !- The tuning set ups seem to change on their own. Are the tunes saved to the car? or does it work so if you change a set up on one car it automatically puts that set up on the other cars?- The truly awful piano music on the initial "Load Saved Data screen". It sounds like funeral music for my corrupted dead game save lol :D All in all I think it could be a great game if some of the issues I've mentioned above could be resolved.

A new camera view: the cockpit view without the car, just the instrument. Like in Gran Turismo. OK, Why then you might ask. Because at least at present it is just a two-diminensional screen view and because of that it is not comparable to the real world, so, it's much more fair not to have the car in the way. (and the front camera view is to low.) If this isn't done at least change the cocpit view to see a bit more of the track. Compare those two photos from Spa in F1 and in Gran Turismo.

Stuttering in both Grid 2 and Autosport. *USUAL FIXES DO NOT HELP*

/\ /\ /\ this is running on - Intel i7 920 2.6ghz (stock clock) 8 thread 4 core - Asus P6t Deluxe - Corsair hydro h100 - Corsair Dominator 18gb DDR 3 1600mhz - EVGA 760 GTX SC 2Gb | Drivers currently on : beta 340.43 - Creative SoundBlaster x-fi platinum fatal1ty champion series - Samsung 24" 1920x1080 res 2ms monitors x2 (dual) - 3x Samusung 1TB 7200rpm sata II ( ALL Games are installed to a second 1tb drive ) Vsync is on and perfect 60fps . even whilst recording B1ohazard , this sounds like and codi know it is.. a memory issue. let me attempt to aid you. 1. what is your pagefile ? i run mine at 34293mb . 2. installing & running your game on C: (master drive) ? i have always stated that i find better performace running games from a secondary drive. ( logic behind this is that whilst C: (master) is busy for all background windows and other apps having the game read/write slows it down, having it seperate is better ) 3. what av/firewall are you using? (memory access) the game makes changes on install to the windows firewall. but if you are running your own firewall you need to add entries. as i recently found out . after the installation of 03/07/14 patch my av/firewall comodo didnt like the game and was throughing it out the window. due to the patch making changes to how the game read/writes and acess the memory. so create your own custom rules in firewalls & av. so ie comodo you will need to create a custom rule in "hips" for it to have free access to your harddrive, memory and internet (this is at your own risk) my self i have entered it via active process and gridautosport.ext set to "trusted application" .. the game every second is looking and saving to the drive aswell as chatting on the internet even in singleplayer. av and firewalls if you do not give rules will slow the game. Hope this helps any Q's fire at me Drayke For Grid AutoSport black screen issues click "here" A fix for Grid 2 that may help click "here" and my Youtube Grid Videos Discussion -
Please fix the replays. They flip every 3 seconds from normal camera view (like watching a race on television) to quarter panel chase and lead cameras (these block most of the view with static boring pictures of your car body). I was hoping you would fix it from the terrible Grid 2 camera which spend 1/2 the time looking up at stupid sky scrapers but now it still quickly cuts like a Michael Bay movie. All I want is normal tv camera view so I can see my car and the cars immediately behind and in front of it. That is where the action is. Not looking through the window at the driver or staring at 1/2 a screen of quarter panel (and I use 3 monitors). Oh and also the ability to pan around your car then you can set up your own chase or lead camera if that is where the pass or crash happened. Other games do this, surely it isn't that hard. You have programmed beautiful game but the replay camera does not do it justice. If you want a tip just look at Dirt 2. The replays are beautiful. I watch every race and the action is never missed I just rewind , slow mo and pivot the camera at the action.

A suggestion that may help with boosting....
FOSTBITTEN replied to NWRCharger's topic in General Discussion
There is a lot of people that still do this even though they do not get any xp or money. If they retire or dashboard early they should get stuck with the position that appears on the finishing screen. If you quit and it shows 10th place then that is what they get. And charge them with damage to their car -
I do not think I invuted anyone to my club. I just gave out the full name of the club they searched for it, found it & joined it. You do the club livery from the game itself. When you make a livery and want to edit that livery. The screen that you choose has a place where you can"Set this livery as your clubs livery" or something like that. Press that & it will link up with racenet & take care of the rest. I call this my "main" car. To test if this worked, go to anothet car in your garage and choose livery. About 4th or 5th down on the list it will say "Racenet Club Livery" click on that and it should apply your club's livery. That you had on your "main" car. You have tomdo this to every car you have to get the club livery on that car. I have also noticed that if you change the wheels on your "main" car. Those wheels will appear on every other car too. As well as numbers, even on other club members cars the same numbers and wheels will appear on their car's too.
