Thta's all I meant. What are we gonna get from that? The 40min endurance race I think is now forgotten and I'm happy for the argument to be buried. All in peace obviously. I think we all want the same thing, we just have different ways of trying to get it and for my part it makes more sense to sit down at the table and talk rather than continually throwing rocks at the window. Loore is our first and best connection so we need to exploit this asset. He has put his credibility on the line so it is only fair for us to give him the benefit of the doubt and our "conversation" with him is worth the most when it comes to having our requests realized. Back in Grid 1 we went around and around the maypole with the endurance race, ending with no-one having any idea how it would work to get the majority involved. In the midnight club I ran we tried 25 and 30 lappers but the majority dropped out with just me and Nomad going the distance. So far we have concentrated effort for touring cars, we have correct driving physics, we have TT to get that much needed practice of the tracks and competitions between our friends, we have improved drift, and we have cockpit (of sorts). This can get us going. What we would now like is; spectate, streaming chat, clearly defined cockpit and mirrors. After that can come the nitty gritty bits mentioned like coutdown timers etc. Amongst all of this I'm assuming we will get lap times and lap leaderboards like in Grid 1, if not, they have to be added to the priority list. . . we need clearly defined personal lap times at the end of each race, just like in Grid 1, and not on the screen for a split second like in Grid 2. Quite often the one who made the fastest lap isn't the winner and knowing your time means you can work out where it went wrong and so correct it. We all know that there will be a backlash once the game is out and we see exactly what is missing . . .because, for sure, the game is likely to be a bit too bare bones for some. . . anyone like a biscuit with their tea ? ~O)

@Loore Online is always like an unstable balance system, because is self-powered and self-influenced.Split people by assumption will be populated for divine reason is just ignore how online dynamics work.Online population work like an unstable balance with ripple effect. Split people=pull fuel from the system.Without fuel online will run for inertia some months. Even an horse can run without eat. This not mean he do not need food.

if codies care to a longlife online multiplayer is better edit this no-sense region setup.Workaround to London in not the answer, big part of people ignore that and will not edit anything. This mean that game will be desert soon by lack of online players.Gaming industry today care about split everything to raise money sales. So the grid1 sequel will become:-Grid2 -10 DLC-Grid2+all DLC -Grid2 with part of the sh1t fixed (Autosport)-Autosport extended with no region limitations or better a brand new game sold for full price. Everything based on single old gen engine. (i would understand a new generation game for that timing and price) This is today the only way to sale something. like cod every year or battlefield. I not make any preorder, i will wait untill the game release and a good amount of opinion here. Then i will still wait the right offer. There is not hurry, specially if this game will be another paper flame like grid2. (online speaking).

DiRT Rally Championship Round 3 - Wolverine Rally

Thank you that man :DIt's been one of those days. Started off by doing the wrong track (Peninsula Run, instead of Quincy Mine), only found with half an hour to go, then Steam Uploader crashed stopping me uploading my new time for Quincy, then it shut me out altogether so I can see the uploaded images in the small screen, but they don't appear on the large screen. Effed off is an understatement. Why no dedicated Formula D / D1GP game, Codies?
Guest replied to scarl3td3vil's topic in General Discussion
Nice idea but as Cheesnium says, highly unlikely due to licensing issues and lack of general interest etc. Like you I loved grid 1 drift, spent many, many hours drifting with friends online, I even joined a Grid 1 drift team, all because of grid 1. Then along came the Mount Haruna drift mod which replaced Lemans track with the full touge track and the LMP cars with drift cars.http://youtu.be/8z2yAfhVYZo Grid 1 drift was why I went for a triple screen setup in the long run (soo much easier to avoid a crash when you can see outta the side windows :) -
Expressed my interest for the Spurs job, although the last time i was there it wasn't pleasant. Reports that Simeone will be sacked from Athletico so i'm hoping that happens soon Edit http://speedcap.net/sharing/screen.php?id=files/1b/a4/1ba460285068bbae3ac26daf0eab5963.png Thats hard to resist....

Question: Will Autosport have a 16 car grid in Split Screen mode too?
Loore replied to KingOfTheCakes's topic in General Discussion
It's a 12 car grid in split-screen :) -
Yeah I agree I doubt we will see too many ovals if we see any because Indycars aer in there then Indianapolis could well be as I would maybe think COTA could be as well but we do know we do have the San Fransisco track from Grid 1 back as well Either or both is possible but of the 2 I suspect Fuji would be the more likely to get the nod given it has been in CM games before as I think it was in the previous Race driver games Amazed they haven't raced the indycar at COTA yet. Must be a hosting or scheduling issue as with the closeness of the field I think you'd get some epic moves and racing. I digress, apart from Indy I can't really see another oval actually being included. are there any we maybe missed?? Rockingham??? Rockingham was in race driver 1 I remember that as they had both the oval and road course in that game but it was a relatively new trsack then not sure whether it's erally popular enough to really include it in a modern day racer though but I could be wrong I don't see any other ovals either beiong put in given there are 22 venues to go in I think they said I wo0uld imagine they'd split it down the middle 11 street trscks and 11 race tracks. it's just a question of what tracks not too suer what you meant by Yas marina (or Abu Dhabi as I call it) not being reversed in Grid 2 as I remember having to drive it backwards or in reverse as you say and finding it tough going on the game so I think you'll find it was in there as I think driving it backwards was one of the last challenges you had to do in career mode if I recall at least in single player

This was a hard choice for me. Dirt (or Colin McRae: Dirt, if you're from Europe, I guess) had a good selection of rallies, actual short course truck racing and rally cross on real circuits, and the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Online was nearly non-existent though. Dirt 2 had some good levels for Raid (including Baja with the option to use Trucks and Buggies point to point, and Morocco). I also appreciated the diversity of the vehicles in those classes. Dirt 3 had more good rallies, and Group B became a dedicated class, which was a big step to me. Sadly, nearly all of the good content for the trucks and buggies went away, but that happens. Split screen and Online are still excellent for both 3 and 2. Showdown is just weird. Good for what it is, but not what I'd have expected from a Dirt game. I know if I was going to split the franchise, I'd have put a large amount of content for Rallycross and Truck/Buggie racing in one game (with real tracks - Lydden Hill is a must) and Rally in another. Or you know, rallycross can be part of the Rally game, and throw some Baja/Paris Dakar levels in the Truck game.

On the timing graphic's the track is split up in to more than 3 sectors we see and know about on TV. Which is why you often hear them talking about a yellow in sector 16 or something. So that yellow flag in sector 4 was probably correct. Mclaren did originally look lightning fast in testing last year. Before they'd realised they'd mounted a piece of suspension on the wrong way and the time was artificial. Can't really blame Anderson for that. I did like Gary Anderson though yes, he's been in F1 for 20 odd years and as a former designer he had a great knowledge of how the cars work. He was the only redeemable part of BBC's coverage last year for me.

Question: Will Autosport have a 16 car grid in Split Screen mode too?
KingOfTheCakes posted a topic in General Discussion
Again, just another thing me and my cousin are curious about. Thanks. -
A key feature that should be in next Dirt, would be the ability to save full replay videos to your hard drive in avi or mp4, so you could then edit the video outside the game and post it to youtube or other video sharing site. The implementation in Dirt 3 was rather poor with the limited length and terrible quality the videos were outputed at.I want the video at the native resolution you play at, in my case 1080p so it looks as good in the video as when I am watching it in game. This feature would make it a lot easier not having to bother with screen capture software, or external recording cards or devices to get a crisp video for upload.

Severe Drops in FPS with DIrt 2 Only during Multiplayer.
LVDirtRacer replied to LVDirtRacer's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0 Support
Ok I recieved a GFWL troubleshooting link from codies email support and will be able to try with changes made to my router. IE Opened some ports for GFWL. I think I had this setup b4 but have had several updates to router firmware and software since then.. It may have blown those settings out of the water. Hope this works. Thanks again cougar1981. Well following changes to my router, firewall and port forwarding settings per email from codemaster support I am sad to report that there is no change. The minute I click the online button in the game my FPS drops to 12-10 and screen starts to stutter. Will reply to support and see if they have anything else for me to try. -
But Grid 1 was circuit based, even in spectate there was no lap counter and if you started spectate at the first lap of 12 on Spa (15 minute wait) you wouldn't know where you were timewise, someone usually let the speccy's know the lap and count. But hey it was good to spectate while waiting than having absolutely no clue as to race standing. Well, atleast you could have something to do instead of just sitting there watching at text, watching a race = fun. watching a non moving screen with some text on it = not fun which instantly leads to re searching for lobbies over and over. It's a real bummer but it's one of the reasons i'll probably skip this one (along with the non working dash/rearview mirrors and blurred out/low poly cockpit, no replay saving alongside online replays(?), text chat(?), oh and full control of a weather and day/night setting), even if they show laps in the lobby its not enough imo. But we'll see how it pans out at release as it looks really good aside from those things, which is a shame cuz its things i value pretty high. I mean its freaking fun to join in and just watch some of your friends battle it out once in a while :P.

I dont and wont use in car view. Its just too restrictive on what you can see. Unless you have a 3 screen setup and the game supports that. But I agree, if in car view is back, then these people need working mirrors. Otherwise some people will say "sorry, didnt see you there bro....no mirrors" Well sorry isnt going to fix my wrecked car. No flashbacks onlineIn car view with mirrorsability to save replaysability to save multiple tune setups for same car.Random grid order online Simplez. :D

Sorry if this has been asked else where!!! If i have the black edition and my friend does not, is this going to cause issues as grid 2 did where my friend or any1 else that does not have the same cars as me can not join a lobby/race that i create and seperate the community again?? oops just read loggys post!! sily me yeah will dlc split the community??

@Loore - more info on the tuning and upgrading in multiplayer would be good - one of the frustrations in Grid 2 was the potential (and frequent!) imbalance between cars in the same race (albeit that was at tier level rather than the GAS discipline split). Q1: How much difference to performance (rough percentage) in multi-player will upgrading / tuning a car make, compared to the stock or loan model? Q2: Is there a "free drive" track in multiplayer where you can test your tuned/upgraded car? Q3: Paying for repairs from damaged was mentioned - is that applicable to owned and loaned cars or just owned? (or can we take out 3rd party CDW?!!)

mmmm this silence not sound so good :) between a solid and longlive online and a short crazy paper flame there are few points. -1) is avoid dead times and waiting into the lobby to stare at windows nicks popup...someone said that can be solved with text chat and spectator mode. -2)Gather the max number of people inside the main public lobby, nobody after 2 months would like to play an empty rooms game or waiting for minutes to see player coming..someone said is better avoid to split people, so nothing region split, nothing region lock steam... after this 2 rules will work the gameplay only... (if the game is funny to play or not) @Loorenot to be insistent, everyone here have a copy of grid2 on steam and everyone can check how much people are playing...before autosport announcement this number was most of the 24h times near to 0 (zero, o, null).Honestly, i would like to know if this autosport born with hope (so soon as possible the 1.0patch that introduce chat and spectator) and without region wall to workaround by edit my download region to london or something like that.
