Two fairly major impacts at the beginning. Doesn't appear FIA is investigating unless I missed the message flash on the screen.

What do you want in F1 2014? GAME IDEAS
blackMamba99 replied to mateyapfc's topic in General Discussion
each time I play 2013 I see things that could be improved so from time to time i'l drop in and add my bit. after playing at Abu Dhabi I notice the darkness is still coming far too late compared to real life. try to make it realistic and have the cars fully under lights by lap 14-17, if its a 25% race start it in darkness under the lights it just looks so much better. the time trial used to be at night could you do that again please. vote to kick, please can you allow the lobby host to kick out nuisance gamers or utilise the preferred player system on Xbox so they cant access the lobby. more options on multiplayer, 10% races, ability to do 5 races in 1 online session to make a mini championship like in 2010, better matchmaking so you're racing equal opponents, 105% qualli rule would be a must for me especially online, ability to choose whether the lobby can be accessed mid session, a graphic to show how many gamers are online, we should be allowed to use any real drivers helmet online. on helmets I would add, they are so bland and boring. can we have more life like helmets in the future please, since all the online helmets available are Bell helmets can we have different makes also, arai, schuberth etc. Also can we have some sponsorship on them too, the sponsors are all displayed on the game, the cars, the drivers helmets and the tracks so why not use them on the helmets available for gamers. obviously like in the past a lot of people would like to be able to design there own helmet so please think about that too. if classics are back for 2014 can you take away that haze that comes over the screen when you enter classics or classic races it looks tacky makes the track and surrounding area look funny colours, please change this! and if you are feeling generous add classics to the basic game free of charge >:) -
No, no error codes just a quick splash screen then its gone

Same issues for me as the guys above. Getting signed out after going into a thread, a couple of error 503's when trying to post a comment and the occasional full-screen 503 when trying to sign in.

Back in the day, BigLee, Flowa was in the angelz clan and they used TS, but that made no difference to them text chatting, indeed, the text chatting was the main form of universal communication, it has to be because different groups are on different TS. We don't want the fiasco of Steam chat or any other enforced system. When is comes to voice all should now have learned . .leave it to the individual groups to sort and give text chat as the number one communication system . .but it MUST be streaming, not stupid little boxes which don't give enough room and are off the screen before we can write or read. Trying to put in a voip system is a nightmare on all levels, it's one thing to choose a cruising group in TDU 1 where you will only pick up on the group when in close proximity, and a completely different thing listening to the voip nightmare called Grid 2 . .that wasn't communication but wearing the hair shirt . . .

What do you want in F1 2014? GAME IDEAS

Take the tyre scaling away, better screen, I can't read results. Having podium, back 3 practise sessions, better car voices, its the same as 2012, take away the oversteering model. But don't take back understeering model, and everything which you're saying. Able to get 2.3 seconds stop. The Codemaster said there will be formation lap, but they didn't do this, I'm not agreeing with you I hate the formation lap, don't stay it,or even we would able to switch out the tyre wear like in F1 2010, Create track, like in Gran Turismo (I know 5). I'm happy with the damage simulation, becasue if I hit the wall a little bit more, I don't want to be out of the race. I think in time trial, the game should allow to extend the tracks. The pitsops in practise and quali, and choose from a menu, which you want. So tyre scaling away. Take back the interviews. Have transmission every time, for example see shadow changes in every track, transmissions, like the sun goes downer in the sky,TovábbKevesebb megjelenítése · Driver transfers.I think the engineer should be able to say the lap time like in RFACTOR. like its a 1:13.111.TovábbKevesebb megjelenítése · F1 2014 game suggestions Legend too fast Expert too slow theres too big gap. In legend I’M 5 tens down to the leader, buti n expert I’m 2.4 faster than the second place man, with same setup and everything.TovábbKevesebb megjelenítése · Kevesebb megjelenítése Belive me about the tyre scaling and the things, because I saw you got a good relationship with Steve hood, I hate tyre scaling I need to go to a 2 stoper in a 25% race like in Hungaroring. Or do what Codemasters did in F1 2010, we can awitch the tyre wear off, or hve a kind of option that, Switch on tyre scaling, switch off tyre scaling (so go on the similar tyre wear as F1 2012) or even switch off tyre wear.TovábbKevesebb megjelenítése · New engineer or back the 2010 engineer because he had more emotions. -
Hatta its bad online. the setups are bad, the handling is bad, the lap times are too fast=bad, the lag is bad, the achievements are bad, the leader board system is bad, the ai is bad especially in qualli blocking every single lap you try, equal car settings are bad, pace related to weather is bad, sheer amount of corner cutting is bad (even in the official codies league its allowed lol). I am pretty sure if 2013 was a good game then the original forums would still be here. I honestly would like someone from codies to just stand up and say "yeah we made a bit of a mistake with 2013 and we are sorry we charged you 50 bucks to find that out" that's all, I don't want them to move heaven and earth or resign. The shame of it all is these are things being commented on since 2011 an awful lot of the same problems go unchanged or even worse change in a negative way making the game even more frustrating especially online. every other year im normally close to 1000 races online by now but im only just over 100 I just cant bring myself to play it consistently. last time I played I led an online race from pole until the flag (on my screen) yet when the race finalised at the end I finished 3rd with no penaltys, I must have been overtaken when I blinked or something like that lol clearly it annoyed me after 56 laps [-(

Here is what gauges I have on my rig, SpeedRPMWater TemperatureOil TemperatureOil PressureFuel Pressure at the moment only speed and RPM works in codemasters games. On my SLI display I would like.Stage timeSection timeTime to next carDelta to stage bestTotal rally time.Distance. At the moment I can just get stage time and my speedometer has a trip meter in it so I can see distance but with so much wheel spin of gravel then it is usually pretty far out at the end of a stage. I am thinking of getting a rally computer like a Terra Trip for my rig, maybe get a friend to co-drive for me. For motion I use a Simxperience GS-4 motion seat and 8 transducers for tactile feedback using Simvibe. Ouch! nice rig! Might have been cheaper to just do a real rally, lol. Seriously though, It would really be great to have a 'timing computer' as an external screen (I use symprojects simscreen) to display what you have listed.

Rain causing Black Screen with Sound!!!
EmilPraga88 replied to EmilPraga88's topic in Technical Assistance
well as i said, using Medium Graphic only for reflections fixed the issue, i doubt its a Hardware problem, because 3 months ago i had older PC Build, totally different, but same issues. Then i changed to the SPECS i have now, the only thing i havent changed is the GPU, but i doubt GPU has any issue at all, i Stress tested it in different programs wich gave my GPU an 90 Celsius degrees and didnt crashed or didnt had any Error at all.In F1 it stays between 58-60 degrees. Formula 1 is not such a hard game in requirements, its works easily on older rigs aswell. For example why in Battlefied 4 i have no issues to run it on HIGH, but Formula 1 gives this black screen during rain randomly, sometimes early in the race, sometimes later. -
If you mean setup like Dirt 2 or 3 then it's pointless IMO. After few days most ppl know how to set those 5 sliders up and there are no setup nuances visible during racing. And the rest who dont know how to set the car are being left with no chance for win anyway so less ppl to take part in action on track. Setup screen also takes additional time and makes waiting for races longer. If you think about more complex simmy setup like F1 games then please dont go this way. There are/will enough sim/simcade games on the market with emphasis on setups. It will divide community even more. Same goes with car upgrades and such. What was perfect in Grid 1 was that plug and race aspect. Start the game, choose the series and race.

Right, time for part 2. F1 2014 IdeasThese are just some thoughts and if I was in charge of making an F1 game, I would like this. 1) Replays from other carsIt would be great if you were able to view replays from other cars, not just your own. For example, if you heard on the radio 'Your team mate has just retired', then you can go to that driver and look at what happened. 2) Game menus like F1 2010I really like the 'Live the Life' element on F1 2010, where you were in the paddock and the menus were floating around the team trucks. I don't mind the current menus but a return to that would be great. 3) Real life scenarios in Scenario ModeI really enjoyed completing the scenarios, but I think it would be great if you could include some real life scenarios, ones that actually happened over the last couple of years. This may be tough, but some of these would be great. 4) Helmet designerThis would be epic. They say the driver's helmet defines his character. Let's have this. You race as yourself in career mode, you should be able to use your own helmet. 5) Warm-up/Formation lapPretty simple, the formation lap, where you can go out and firstly get a feel for the conditions and also warm up your tyres. Then you line up on the grid and from there the start procedure is as it normally is. 6) Fuel saving meterSo for this year in F1, fuel saving is pretty important, and therefore I think it would be great if there was a little meter in a corner of the screen showing your current fuel use. Have a look at this little sketch I've done here. Something like this would be good. The player can easily see how much fuel he has used. The bar here is currently green which means he is doing good fuel saving, but that bar can change colour to amber (right on target) or red (below target). Below that you can also see a detailed look on where you would end up. So at the moment he will have enough fuel for another half a lap. 7) More realistic damageI think the damage should have a setting which is something like 'Extreme', so therefore the slightest contact will mean you lose some front wing for example. Also, the wheels should have tethers (the things that stop the wheels flying off). All crashes where the tyres come off have tethers keeping them on the car, and the game should have this.

No setups please. Keep the game as simple as possible. Just like you did with Grid 1. Give all players, no matter on what level they are, same conditions. And setup screen makes waiting for a race longer ;) I don't agree with McRoss on sim aspect. Future Codemasters games should be arcade games just like they have been so far. GRID2 and DIRT3 are games with good handling but have few game-breaking bugs (I don't class Grid 2 cornering bug as a handling thing). Equal cars is crucial. Assuming there are different dev teams working on different games, Grid guys should learn from Dirt 2/3 team in terms of balancing the cars. This was one of the good things of last 2 DIRT games. Every class - rally/rallyX/grB had mostly equal cars. The differences were very little. So online, every race, we had a variety of cars competing. Regarding gamers coming to your HQ and playing a LOT. It will never be comparable with published beta version. The cornering BUG in Grid 2 was never discovered and/or enough explored because there were not enough tests. It came on the surface after 2 days of online when thousands of happy (then) customers played the game for hours. Some gameplay breaking bugs can be found only this way. If you really want community to be involved add beta tests to the list. And regarding text chat, Dirt 2/3 text chat was not user friendly, way too big fonts. Grid 1 style text chat was spot on.

So I tried to post a comment to the CLC thread, and got this message at the bottom corner of the screen: In case you can't read it, it says 'There was an error performing your request. Please try again.' I did try again, and got the same message. I'm not sure why that happened, it just wouldn't post my message. You can also see there is no 'Go to Mobile Version' button either at the bottom. @couger1981 has it, so any ideas as to why I don't?

Hello, Over the years I've uploaded Dirt 2 and 3 to my Youtube account. They're all rather mediocre... DiRT playlisthttp://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6A2CA47B2440E525 There are videos from Dirt 3 Battersea event, some quick YT uploads and recordings from some league racing.Maybe in the future when the next game is out it will be much easier to upload good quality footage to YT or other sites. Once @justbiglee sets up the DRC I'll try to record some footage off-screen

Talking about the readability, Arial would fit the most in my opinion, as the forums' priority should be on the content rather then the looks. Especially when visiting the forums on a high-resolution screen, the text becomes hard to read. The current font is close to Arial so I would request this to become the new font, as it is a minor upgrade with major results. Besides, I'd like to suggest to duplicate the page selection (which is available at the bottom only) to the top of the conversation as well. If you click a conversation with more than 20 replies at the first time, you will automatically be directed to the latest reply instead of the first post.

I'm not sure I can describe it without getting into trouble lol... Erm, basically Randy Marsh getting violently probed on an alien ship :p On the censored version you get a screen come up saying it's been censored and it vaguely describes what's happening haha.

Which i7 did you have? The one in mine is a 4770K so it's gonna be a while till it needs upgrading :D Oh indeed, you're gonna notice a pretty hefty increase in performance! When you click something and it appears instantly, and when you open a game and the loading screen takes 1/3 of the time it used to... It'll put a smile on your face :)

I wish a Drift game with a mixed handling from DiRT 3 and GRID 1. It includes Gymkhana (with an parcour generator and editor), Drift Challenges and various fun modes (like Outbreak and Transporter from DiRT 3, Sumo from DiRT Showdown, maybe Demolition Derby and so on ... all what needs car control). And forget things like the trick assist. (I would like to be the Game Designer, because CM doesn't know what the important things are. It's sad to see, when a good concept is beeing destroyed (look to DiRT Showdown).) For the F1 series they should go more to simulation handling, make it possible to drive every meter of every session and to complete the moments out of the car (like the presentation ceremony). In F1 2013 they began to integrate historic F1. Much more important would be the seasons of the previous years, so you can play a real career. Many of us are waiting for DiRT 4. The motto: back to the roots. Less arcade handling and long stages. Maybe they can get someday the official WRC licence. CM is not my prefered choice for this, but Milestone is much more worst. They made no longer an open world game (the last one was FUEL). At the moment there is no game in the sub genre of "Underground" ... ;) General: » Bring (at least for PC) back the text chat (voice chat is no substitute and should be possible to disable), but not as minimalized version (it's important to see the chat-history, to chat furthermore during loading screen and so on). » More thoughtful and ergonomic menus. » More detailed multiplayer mode (own room names, all settings visible without to join, search filter (storable), select car before start, ... community groups (let players manage who can play with "us")) » Single Player career in fictive games should be more real (seasons and so on) and not just a concatenation of events. » cockpit views must be standard

alot of the stuff i want is far from the arcadey stuff when i play racing games i only play them if they are punishing if i screw up there's not alot of them out there dirt u can slam into a tree an still finish first the damage model is there but it doesn't really effect performance i even have to play f1 2013 with a severe damage mod other wise i cant play it.. Soo point form what i actually want and would buy if some of these things are considered. >Narrow harder tracks (dirt 3 i felt every track was as wide as a highway and never needed to slow down) >Dirt that is actually dirt, digs down makes tyre grooves etc, think other cars go before you it could slightly change the physics of the track for re-playability >Less or no over the top gymkhana bs (i respect ken block but didn't some other game poach him, keep it gone) >Longer races kinda get bored if i have to go through a loading screen every 1-2minutes OR if that is the case as rallys are in stages make them meaning full connect them Service park to repair previous stage damage etc. >Realistic speeds, handeling, mechanical failures >More tracks if not real ones > Weather effects that effect the handling more not just if its raining its slippery if its raining heavy puddles build up hitting them effects handling >More trophy truck support, or other od trucks an bikes but if they are used include some long race equivalent to Dakar with multiple save checkpoints. >^ include a long dakar race if possible, multiple checkpoints, classes, vehicles, this event should take a long time to finish think 24hour races in other games. > Damage options if its set to realistic hitting anything should be a bad thing have options for full visual damage an less mechanical people if majority think its too much. > Livery editor car customizing > More focused career mode. (This is where livery editor an customizing comes in) start/manage a team / sponsors. > Destruction derby, somethings in showdown were fun with a proper damage model, realistic speeds (as an option slow), mechanical failures dirt physics (wheels spinning) could be fun online to see who can last the longest. Make a good game take your time, start fresh fit as much in it as systems will allow blow minds get everybody talking. I am probably asking for too much but this is because i really stick to old racing games over new ones, i really only play simulators (gtr etc) and a rally one would be a nice change stuff i suggest is probably next to impossible and i know the game has to be playable by all not just the insanely die hard realism people otherwise sales get hurt. Good luck lol! xXRariiXx

I don't know, I just can't see it.. :P @onetwothree then I guess the screen is really really small :P Toothpaste for scale.

Well the logic behind it is that I can tap anywhere in the middle third of the screen and Chrome opens, since it's an app that I use a lot.

me too wqas thinking of putting an ME screen up on mine but if I do It'll be lter once I've completed the SSD install

I like the idea of an option to recce the stages if the game is focusing on authenticity. I would like it to play that you are given a recce car (a road car or a recce rigged Mitsubishi Evo as Citroën uses in the WRC) to drive through the stages. You have to keep within the speed limits (80 km/h on WRC-events if I'm not wrong). If you go over, a warning comes up giving you three seconds to slow down, if not you are given time penalties towards the rally itself. When it comes to changing the notes, I think it could be good if the co-driver reads out the notes as you drive through the stage. For each note, the note itself comes up on the screen. If you want to change it you can change it within the parameters available. For example, if you come to a left hand corner which the co-driver reads as a three left plus, tightens two, you can change all parts of the corner. I don't think it should be possible to change a corner from left to right, that wouldn't do any good, but other than that it should be pretty open to make your own modifications. The process of changing the notes works by pausing the game or stopping the car, and doing the modification. Any other ideas?
