GRID - Mode/Feature/Content Suggestions
OugaBooga replied to ChrisGrovesMCM's topic in General Discussion
@ minetti NO, don't open up a gapping wound with suggestion of "split screen" as a DLC ! that is just TOTAL nonsense ! That kind of talk & acceptance is what is WRONG with gamer's, it's the same as calling for PAID patches which is abhorrent to me ! ! ! -
My Team Acclaim Reset to 1 so my team is unplayable
C0DEmASTerS replied to C0DEmASTerS's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
Ive posted a bug report for the sc issue I will add a copy when i can. Also there's nothing much that a video clip will show apart from me finishing Q3 and the acclaim screen showing my acclaim and team acclaim at 1 -
@BurnieBD Sorry, I believe the setting you want to increase is called "Steering Saturation". It's in the in-game controls options where you find "controls scheme - calibration - vibration & forcefeedback - MFD shortcuts"....it's under the "calibration" menu. I'm on PC but I believe it's the same menu on PS4. I'm not in front of my home computer or I would take a screen shot.

🤨 If I am playing on a single monitor on PC, I personally run the game at 144fps. The game will run at whatever FPS a persons particular computer is capable of running at. Though when I play in triple screen, I will admit that I do run the game at 60fps. But then the game at that point is spanning 3 different monitors, so just makes sense. But the game on PC is not limited to just 60fps. As for no mouse support. That is such a daft reason to avoid the pc version in my opinion, as it is such a non issue. The game has fully functional controller support for menu navigation, whether playing on a gamepad or on a wheel that includes a button box on the rim. Which is any mainstream wheel, unless modded by the end user. On top of that, it also has full keyboard support for menu navigation. There are only 2 racing titles I have played in the last decade that I felt a mouse was needed for, and that is iRacing and Assetto corsa, because their interfaces was never designed with controller support in mind. Thats why AC on Console has a totally different menu system when compared to the PC version. Yes, pc hardware can be an issue on occasion, but is also far less of an issue in 2020 than it was say a decade ago. The more reasonable thing would be to ask the original poster what their system specs are and give them actual detailed advice. Not just some run of the mill statement that the PC could have potentially more problems. I am fortunate enough to have grown up with both consoles and PC's, even now I have a good gaming PC and consoles in my possession. And its just as easy to get bugs on locked down hardware like a games console. There have been times when I have played a game on PC without issue, but played the exact same game on my Xbox one and had nothing but problems with it. Its a catch 22 situation. With regards to F1 2020, the only bug I have personally faced on my PC with it, was the game crashing at release after beating my personal best time in time trial mode. That has since been resolved, and for me, the gameplay has been solid without a single crash/glitch since then. It will help to give a better answers if you post up what your computer specs are, without that information; people can only give you blind advice. Because with an unknown PC setup, the only reasonable choice people can suggest is to buy the game on the PS4. The format that would be most readable, would be this as an example - i7 10700k RTX2070 super 16gb 3200MHz DDR4 Also, can be helpful to state if you are using a desktop or a laptop; since CPU speeds tend to be reduced for the sake of cooling on laptops.

by design no higher than level 30

Good suggestion. The XP screen is already skipped if there are no XP to award. I've seen this for example when going into time trial set to wet by mistake and then immediately switching to dry. -
by design no higher than level 30
TeenierNeilb69 replied to RPenders's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
Ok @BarryBL this may well be “by design” but please make it more elegant. Once you have reached the limit please stop displaying the XP gained animation during end of session screens, it’s a time waster and just highlights more that this wasn’t well thought out in the “design” also it gets my blood boiling each time I see the screen. It must be a very simple conditional decision to bypass this screen if you have already reached season XP limit. lack of polish. -
Hi, currently on PS4 and have been playing this series since 2010. Give the option to back out when in the "Communicating with online services... please wait" screen. Sometimes it doesn't connect and you have to restart the game because it's stuck there. This sometimes happens to me when trying to join ranked lobbies. Have a filter for no assists on the time trial leaderboards. Show replays for the top 10 on all the leaderboards. Polyphony Digital added this in GTS and it's been very helpful in outing cheaters and learning tracks. Cross platform play. Racing games are a niche genre and if there's any genre that needs cross platform play it's this one. It works so well in other games, it would be a good look on Codemasters to pioneer this in the racing genre. Get a better livery editor for F1 2021 or 22'. The pre-made designs are a good start and much appreciated, but you need to allow people to design cars, race suits, helmets, etc how they want them. Some of the things I've seen people create in Forza or GTS over the years has been amazing, it would be awesome to see that kind of creativity in the F1 series. Text chat in future games, this is another handy thing in GTS that Codemasters should copy. Pre-season testing in career for resource points, let players simulate it if they don't want to do it. Pit stops like in ACC where you are in control the entire time. That is all I can think of for now. Thanks for reading.

Reached the My Team screen Closed the game Set steam back to online mode Start the game.. now it works! And i'm on the correct race, no more UK gp! 🙂 I hope this can help some other people with the same (i think kinda rare) issue 🙂 -

I'm having the same issue: currently at Spa, season 1 of My Team, and except for Monaco and Bahrain, I've had rain in either qualy or race (or both) in every single race so far. This cannot be, I've never had this in previous F1 games (I have been playing since the 2016 game), the amount of rain in this game is absurd! Maybe there should be a sub-category to "Dynamic weather" where you could set the amount of rain for the season, or something like this. I don't mind a couple of races with rain, but 90% is waaaayy too much. And I'm checking a few streamers, like Tom97, for example, and he is getting a lot of rain as well. 1. [ All Platforms ] - Save Games Corrupt Post 1.08 Master Thread
Seabo04 replied to mrlagg16's topic in Systems and Connectivity TA
Exact same thing happened to me this morning, I still have a large save data file on the storage screen of about 70mb to my account so I'm pretty sure the save files are still there somewhere, I also still have my tiers on the podium pass. Haven't been able to solve the problem yet but let me know if anything works. -
[ All Platforms ] - Save Games Corrupt Post 1.08 Master Thread
Lewh3 replied to mrlagg16's topic in Systems and Connectivity TA
1. A detailed description of the issue. Often got the ‘Corrupted save’ message on My Team. The ‘over-rite save’ option never worked so I’d usually just select the bottom option, something like ‘turn off auto save’, I’d play a little and then turn auto save back on in the menu and everything would be fine. This time when it happened, I loaded up my penultimate race after finishing quali, the screen goes black and the game crashes, which also happens often. I load the game up and it loads up like I’ve never played it before (select brightness, create character etc) and all my saves are gone, my 2 season My Team included. Im both ****** and devastated. I hope someone knows a fix. 2. Platform Xbox One 3. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.08 4. Game-mode? Mainly My Team 5. What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too. Not Applicable. 6. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue. Do you have the latest drivers? Have you check your connectivity settings? I wouldn’t know where to start with fixing it. 7. Please provide a video recording of your game crashing so we can see where the issue occurs? Didn’t expect this to happen so didn’t get a clip. -

What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.08 4. Game-mode? Grand Prix 5. What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too. I've tried multiple times in the past 2 days, I play, restart the game to play again and it still doesn't load 6. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue restarting the game and the PC 7. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) Thrustmaster Wheel 8. Hi everyone, Apologies. We did notice this and are currently investigating the issue internally and with our first-party partners. Can ALL USERS AFFECTED add their completed individual bug reports as this will be essential. (Please use the template @CheggyBeRacin used) Also, accessing your report code will help too. How to do this is by Main Menu > Game Options > Settings > Bottom left hand corner of the screen (16 digits) in-game. That code is valid throughout the whole session. The more users providing this information will help us in identifying and resolving this problem. -
with developers Team acclaim reset to 1
Hugster replied to kart12talwar's topic in Gameplay Issues and Bugs TA
Edit: I started the next race at the Austrian GP and I got an email from Carl about development updates and the performancr graph he showed me was outdated. It says it it for the recent GPs but when I look at the R&D Progress History what he sent me is the performance from back at race 4, 5 and 6. I wondered if this might help work out what's gone wrong with the acclaim levels, maybe the game save has corrupted somehow but it hasn't said anything. I've attached photos of Carl's email and the R&D Progress History to show what I mean. 1. A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. I'm having the same issue. I had just signed a 3rd sponsor after reaching level 10 team acclaim before the French GP. I then came back on to do the French GP, I previously quit before I'd started any practice sessions but on the screen where you can choose to simulate them or advance. After I then finished the race I noticed my driver and team acclaim were both back to level 1 and even after the race it showed me I had completed sponsor bonuses but I didn't receive the money from them. Now back on the management screen I can see all my sponsors have disappeared besides the main one you start with and my team acclaim is now level 3 because it leveled up from being reset to level 1 after the GP, and my driver acclaim is level 2 for the same reason. 2. Platform: Xbox One 3. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen): 1.07 4. Game-mode? MyTeam 5. What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too.: Can't replicate, team and driver acclaim now working as it should be but at a much lower level because they both got reset to level 1. 6. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue. Restarting game and console. 7. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc): Xbox One Wireless Controller. 8. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears: As you can see in the gameclip I met all the requirements for all sponsorship bonuses but didn't receive any, I finished in P1. save.mp4 -
DIRT 5 Playgrounds: Everything You Need to Know
CodiesBlogBot posted a topic in News & Announcements
The Playgrounds mode for DIRT 5 is a feature that’s brand new to the DIRT franchise – the ability to design, create, edit and race on your own custom racing arenas. Use a huge suite of objects – from bumps, kickers and ramps, to loops, tunnels and rings of fire – to devise the most creative and ambitious arenas for racing antics. Conjure up the most devilish and challenging time trial runs with Gate Crasher; test the community’s skill in Smash Attack; or devise a haven for drifts and donuts with Gymkhana events. These event types can be assigned to your Playgrounds to add structure and objectives to your incredible designs – and every single creation comes with a global leaderboard, allowing you to compete against the world on any arena. Constantly create Playgrounds and, with a press of a button, share them with the world via our in-game tools for others to test their skills in your designs. Or, use the same tools to discover other user-created Playgrounds, download them, and tear around the creations of other players. Playgrounds allows you to experience, and contribute to, a humongous selection of DIRT experiences, designed by you, the players. That’s the summary of how you’ll experience Playgrounds in DIRT 5, but a massive mode like this has plenty more detail to break down. So, here’s everything you need to know before you create and discover new epic off-road events in Playgrounds… CREATE Imagine a blank canvas, a huge open space, where you have full control over the extreme racing action that takes place on it. Get your creative juices flowing and design the off-road event you’ve always dreamed of with Playgrounds. Players will have the option to set their Playground in two locations – Arizona, or inside the Cape Town Stadium in South Africa. Choose your setting and you’ll be taken to your empty Playground, with a bird’s eye view of the arena to help you navigate. Once you’ve got a feel for all that, it’s time to start building your Playground. Use the Objects option to open a massive menu of items to choose from. Build the groundworks with blocks, ramps and boxes. Add dirt areas, bumps and water spots to mix up the terrain. Drop in incredible set pieces like loops, rings of fire, or buses and wrecked vehicles to jump over. Place drift gates, donut spots and more for Gymkhana-focused arenas. Add some style and personality with decorative items, foliage and a colour editing option. The choice is completely yours with how to design your Playground. After choosing any object, they can be rotated and placed, with clear guidance on any placement limitations. Many items can be snapped together when placing to ensure your Playgrounds keep their flow, and multiple objects can be duplicated on the fly to speed up the process. At any point during your design, you can head to the pause menu and choose ‘Test’ to jump into a car and try out the Playground for yourself. You’ll be able to choose between three different event types to link with your Playgrounds design: – Gate Crasher: Create incredible high-speed runs, insanely difficult routes and any time-trial based event in between with Gate Crasher. The route for players to take to successfully complete the event will be laid out by gates that you place onto the arena. – Smash Attack: Challenge players to find and collect objects in your arena in the shortest time possible, and place penalty objects for racers to avoid at all costs! – Gymkhana: For the first time ever, design your own Gymkhana arena for players to throw down. Place spots for drifting, donuts, jumps and more for players to accumulate points on for style, speed and flow in this time-based event. Once you’ve chosen your event and are happy with your design, the ‘Publish’ menu will ensure your Playground is ready to go. After choosing a vehicle for the map and making sure the required objects have been added, you’ll be asked to validate the event by completing it yourself. Do that, and you can save and publish your very own off-road racing arena. Multiple Playgrounds can be designed and saved, so mix things up and let your creativity run wild. SHARE Creating a Playground is one thing, but what if you want to share your arenas with the world? After creating a Playground, you’ll be given options that help you label, define and upload your arenas, so players can discover them when browsing and download it to play on. Once you’ve done that, your Playground can be uploaded to DIRT 5’s servers and hosted on our searchable database of user-generated creations. When players find your arena, they’ll be shown its name, picture, event type, car class, arena location, your profile name, the tags you chose earlier, how many times the Playground has been played, and how many entries there are on this leaderboard. All this helps players gauge what kind of arena you’ve designed and if it’s creating a buzz in the community. DISCOVER Want to see how your Playgrounds stack up against the rest of the world’s? Not interested in creating, and just want to race in the incredible arenas of DIRT 5’s community? The Discover option in Playgrounds is your gateway to the most unique, varied, player-driven off-road racing experience around. Head to the Discover menu and use all our tools to help you find the Playgrounds you’re looking for. Firstly, there’s ‘Browse’, where you’ll find a set of Playgrounds curated by the DIRT 5 team, based on their popularity. Our ‘Featured’ category will host an ever-changing selection of arenas that we recommend checking out, the ‘Popular’ section will show the arenas that have been raced on the most, and ‘Top’ will show you the highest-rated arenas. If you feel like mixing it up, there’s also ‘Lucky Dip’, which will bring you a completely random selection of Playgrounds to browse. Looking for something more specific? Use the ‘Search’ menu to enter different criteria and find the Playground of your dreams. Use specific search terms, filter the event types, car classes, tags used, and more to drill down into the DIRT 5 database and find what works for you. Whichever way you choose to find arenas, you can Pin any that catch your eye, which takes them to your ‘My List’ menu, creating a shortlist of all the Playgrounds you want to check out. Found an arena you want to jump into straight away? Hit ‘Start Event’ to load up the Playground. Driving over the start line will start the event – then it’s time for you to speed through those gates, smash those objects, or nail those Gymkhana spots. Once you complete the event, the post-race screen will show your score on the global leaderboard. There are also options after the event to retry it, or report the Playground so our moderation team can assess it. Be sure to use the Like and Dislike options to give your opinion on the Playground and affect its search stats. Finally, you’ll be presented with suggested Playgrounds with similar characteristics to the event you just played, so you can constantly jump into new and relevant events. PLAYGROUNDS IN ACTION Want to see what all of this looks like in DIRT 5? It’s all set in an amplified off-road racing world, with a vibe that encourages fun and constant action. DIRT 5 launches on October 16 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with the Amplified Edition granting three days early access alongside a host of additional goodies. The Amplified Edition also comes with a 10% discount for players of any previous DIRT game! For PC and Xbox One, head to the game’s page on their official store for the discount – for PlayStation 4, use your console to head to the Game Hub of a previous DIRT game, where a 10% discount offer will be offered to you. with developers [ All Platforms ] - Save Games Corrupt Post 1.08 Master Thread
Seabo04 replied to mrlagg16's topic in Systems and Connectivity TA
When I loaded into myteam this morning, I went into gameplay setting and changed the difficulty but when I tried to exit the screen I got a pop up of "corrupted save, data overwrite" where it wouldn't allow me to save the game. I then exitted the myteam gamemode and reloaded the game. I was then greeted by the same screens that appear when first opening the game and was told to choose a character and number etc. and none of my saved games on career on myteam are there and I have no data on any of my stats on my superlicense. However, my podium pass has remained at tier 15 and not reset like everything else ( not that important but thought it was odd ). Version - 1.08 Console - Xbox One Peripherals - controller -
Well just to give an update since i was able to do it I did a fresh install of windows and the first thing i did was install 451.67 nvidia drivers and installed f1 and started in dx11 and voilà running smooth without disabling cloud services or in game overlay and in full screen with vsync on. Don't know how or why but it worked!

recommended Error code "NM14" when joining Weekly Event race
steviejay69 replied to a topic in Technical Assistance
We need an explanation of what these error codes mean from the developer. First try at MP with 1.08 was basically disastrous. No-one is sure if these errors were a Steam issue or the game. @BarryBL here's a template 1. A detailed description of the issue. Basically invites were not working. 2. Platform PC Steam 3. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.08 4. Game-mode? Multiplayer 5. What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too. Everyone was inviting everyone else, initially my lobby was set to 'Invite Only' then 'Friends Only' then two others attempted to host. 6. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue. Do you have the latest drivers? Have you check your connectivity settings? All other connectivity was open (web, other services, etc.) 7. Please provide a video recording of your game crashing so we can see where the issue occurs? Have screenshots. 8. [ For PC ] – Please add a DXDiag to your post. DxDiag.txt -
1. Last sunday I drove an online race at the Chicane Online Racing competition. It was a wet qualifying on the Dutch track. I went into the pits with 3:30 to go as I expected the track to be dry enough to switch from Wet tyres to Intermediates. Once in the pitbox I switched to Intermediates manually while Jeff tells me: "intermediates are your best bet in the current conditions". As to drive out as quick as possible I hit the buttons to drive out as quick as possible. In a split second, I get the warning to switch back to "the recommended/suitable tyres" as according to the game I am not on the suitable tyre. I did not expect to get that warning and because of me trying to drive out as quick as possible I clicked accidently on "switch to the recommend compound". The game thus switched me back from intermediates to wet tyres before driving out of the pitbox. I think this is a ridiculous (and unlucky) turn of events. As Jeff literally just told me I was on the suitable/recommended tyre, I did not expect that I was gonna get the warning. As my place on the grid might depend on the amount of laps I can still drive before the session finishes, it is logically that I tried to push the buttons as quick as possible to drive out of the pitbox. I would thus recommend that when Jeff starts saying the line "intermediates are your best bet in the current conditions", the game should immediatly switch the status of the intermediates to the suitable/recommended tyre (preventing the warning from coming up). Especially in this (very) specific case, it really had a negative impact on my game experience. I understand it is a very unlucky turn of events but I still think it can be fixed. 2. PC 3. 1.08 4. Multiplayer 5. Sadly I can't replicate the situation myself. 6. I cannot fix the issue myself. 7. Wheel, Logitech G29. 8. The video should start at the moment I am pushed into the pitbox, with circa 3 minutes on the clock. Thank you for looking into this.
