I have suggestion: The option not to see the Podium Pas/XP screen after every race. I get it when you’re doing My Team or online. Personally, I only play Championship Mode, Time Trial or sometimes a Private League and have no need for Podium Pass and/or XP. Personal opinion, it’s childish and intrusive, but that’s probably the point, to get you to spend as much cash as possible. I guess microtransactions are a thing now (as are the ridiculous podium celebrations etc.) But please, make it a little less intrusive (read obnoxious) for people who just enjoy a race once and a while and don’t have the time to get into all that stuff. On a positive note, the core gameplay is probably the best we’ve seen to date.

Split Screen or Virtual Mirror - Which one is responsible for this HUGE graphics downgrade?
viniciusrsouza posted a topic in F1 Chat
Honestly, no matter what they say, F1 2019 and F1 2020 graphics are night and day difference. - The distance view is CLEARLY lower this year. We can see this perfectly in Spa, sector 3, reaching the old Bus Stop. Also in Canada, first corner. The public stands low draw distance is EVIDENT after we turn left and their textures load in front of us. - Colors. They are totally washed. Mainly trees/nature in general. - Anti aliasing. I'm playing on Xbox One X and it's absolutely frustrating to see so many objects "flashing" here and there, totally lacking a mininum of it. - The sun. Used to be bright and realistic when played in HDR, to a point where using Samsung Q80R TV in maximum back light was able to hurt a bit our eyes. Now it seems to be nerfed as well. It's EXTREMELY sad to face this level of downgrade probably because of a new feature just 1% of player base will use. And, for sure, for just a few rare occasions and never more. -
with developers Black screen when racing online
DAVIDLUIZ3299 posted a topic in Systems and Connectivity TA
1. Basically a black screen when racing online, with "communicating with online services written on it". PS4 2. 1.03 3. Ranked online 4. It happens to me once each two online races on average. I don't have replication steps because I don't know where this problem is from 5. My connettivity settings should be alright, on previous f1 games I have never had connectivity problems -
1. A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. "Connecting to online servers" is displayed in the middle of the screen blocking the view of the game for intervals of 5seconds, which occurs every 3seconds. You're still able to drive but not clear as "the connecting to online servers" message is shown. I know many people experiencing this problem, everyone I've spoken too has had this problem, not even joking, it's ridiculous. 2. What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.03 3. Game-mode? Multiplayer 4. What are your replication numbers? Minimum test attempts are 4. Please also add EXACT replication steps for us to try too. 50+ multiplayer races. This occurs every single lap at least 10 times. So 500 times. 5. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue Reset console, reset internet, leave and re-join, close and open F1 2020 application. 6. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) Gamepad 7. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears.

1. So I was trying to simulate through Career Mode, when running into this issue. Every time I simulate a race in Career mode, the game gets stuck in a Black Screen. I've waited long periods of time 30 minutes once, an hour once, 15 minutes the first time. 2. Version 1.03 PC 3. Career Mode 4. 5 times 5. Restarted the game. Validated files through Steam. Re-installed the game. 6. No special peripherals. I just use a PS4 controller (wired). 7. Photos below show in order of how this goes down. Left to Right. Bottom Left to Bottom Right.

Where are all "On-Screen Display" options that were always available before?! Removed on Xbox?!
viniciusrsouza posted a topic in General Discussion
There are only a few settings available! Compared to 2018/2019, there a lot of them missing! I'm really frustrated, mainly because I play using cockpit camera and disable OSD to experience more immersion, but now I can't. I simply can't believe this! Please, please, tell us that this is a known issue. This a crucial thing in a racing game! -

Grid 2019 Split-screen is missing - no info from developers - game is missing feature
voodoo17111 posted a topic in Technical Assistance
Hi Codemasters, since you inform that for more technical assistance i can reach you on this forum i would like to ask when advertised function of split screen is going to be implemented - as stated before game release. At this point i'm seeing this as a technical issue, additionally not being commented on by any of Codemasters employees. There is only one more topic on this forum regarding G2019 splitscreen and the closest we got to a response is some assumptions of moderator which doesn't think that splitscreen is coming. Codemasters - take a stand and answer this question, is there any timeline for introducing split screen ? If not than this would be false advertising - this is "One man's lie" all over again - with that person being the one who talked about this in a interview (It was Christopher Smith, game director , yeah, yeah, i know magnitude is so much smaller 😜 It's only splitscreen 🙂 but that counts fore me and i'm your customer who bought the game as it was advertised that this feature will be present - right now it looks like it's never going to happen). Waiting to hear from you 🙂 -
I'm started playing again after a break away from the game and when I run it DX12 I get some horrible stuttering/flickering and lines all over the screen. When I run in DX11 I don't get this at all. I'm using a GTX 1080Ti with no mods and I use a logitech G920. I have updated my Nvidia drivers to the latest without any success. The game runs fine as it's only in the menu's I see the issue. Thanks in advance. Strat

The casual mode can be put on even if I play with my friend with the split screen or not

One. Last. Time. The final Virtual Grand Prix is here, and we’re marking the occasion with something special. Today, we’re focusing on F1® 2020’s new split-screen mode by showing off a three-lap race from Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, featuring Valtteri Bottas’ Mercedes and Lance Stroll’s Racing Point. The Canadian Grand Prix has been a staple since the late ‘60s, and the race in Montreal has been a regular occurrence in the F1® calendar since the late ‘70s. With well-known features such as that last chicane by the Wall of Champions, and of course, groundhogs (which commentator Anthony Davidson unfortunately knows all about), the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is a firm fan favourite. For more social play with your mates/sibling/rivals, two-player split-screen makes a welcome return to F1® 2020. We’ve captured this in-game, and the race doesn’t just show off split-screen, but also shows several corner adjustments and aesthetic changes made to the Montreal track. This Sunday, F1® drivers, including George Russell (who’s looking to secure that Virtual Grand Prix Championship), return for the final Virtual Grand Prix on F1® 2019. You’ll be able to catch this all live on Sunday, 14th June from 5pm BST, with the F1® Esports Pro Exhibition race, before the Virtual Grand Prix gets underway at 6pm BST, on F1®’s YouTube channel. DIRT 5 Career mode deep dive - story, sponsors, split-screen and more
ChrisGrovesMCM posted a topic in DIRT 5
During DIRT 5’s reveal in May, we gave you a taste of what to expect in Career mode and promised a star-studded story within a huge mode with player-driven progression. Now, it’s time to tell all. Let’s take a drive through the Career mode of DIRT 5, stopping to check out a few new in-game screenshots along the way… OWN THE SPOTLIGHT In an off-road racing world full of superstars, DIRT 5’s Career tasks with you standing out above the rest, and making sure nobody ever forgets your name. The player is dropped into a world-renowned off-road racing series that delivers constant extreme action, continent to continent, in all manner of amplified events. As you begin to get your feet wet and make a buzz in the racing scene, you catch the eye of Alex Janiček – better known as AJ, voiced by the legendary Troy Baker. An undisputed superstar and fan favourite in the world of DIRT, AJ quickly takes you under his wing, showing you what it takes to rise to the top of the sport he has dominated for years. You’re not the only new racer making a splash, though. Enter Bruno Durand – the ultra-competitive, cold, calculated veteran, voiced by none other than Nolan North. A champion in other off-road disciplines, Bruno’s talent and star power mean a clash with AJ is inevitable, but the fallout from an epic race between these two icons lays the foundation for you to create your own legacy in the sport. The entire story, your journey, and much more are covered in depth by the DIRT Podcast by Donut Media, hosted by James Pumphrey and Nolan Sykes from the Donut crew. Their energy and excitement match the vibe of DIRT’s racing world, and between events they react to all the key moments of your story, with special guests including AJ and Bruno, W Series champion Jamie Chadwick, and gaming and car culture personality SLAPTrain. All of this comes together for a deep, narrative-driven mode that sees you rise from obscurity to infamy in an amplified racing world. Well, only if you’ve got what it takes… CHOOSE YOUR PATH So that’s the story – but how will you experience it? The Career is split into five chapters to cover the key moments in the narrative. Each chapter offers multiple paths for the player to take, meaning you can choose which events you want to participate in through the chapter. If you want, you can still race in everything there is to offer, which is over 130 events across nine different race types, featuring every location in DIRT 5. Complete races to open new events in the chapter; the higher you place, the more Stamps you will earn. A certain amount of Stamps are needed to unlock the Main Event of each chapter, so the better you perform, the quicker you can progress. Main Events are the conclusion of each chapter and a tougher test for the player. Finish third or above to move onto the next chapter. But that’s not all. Complete certain objectives throughout Career events to unlock secret Throwdowns, where you go one-on-one with a fierce challenger in epic events. REPRESENT THE WORLD’S BIGGEST BRANDS To travel the world, race incredible vehicles and be part of this vibe, you’ll need sponsors. As a highly-touted rookie, the world is watching – and there are some major names that would like to speak with you… 20 real-world brands are available to sponsor you in Career mode, including the likes of Monster Energy, Sparco, Michelin, Fatlace and, yours truly, Codemasters. Each sponsor will have unique rewards when you sign with them, including an exclusive livery of that brand, stickers to use in the livery editor, and a currency signing bonus. Each sponsor will have objectives, both long and short-term, that they want you to hit in your Career. Do that and you’ll increase your Reputation Rank, which leads to an ultimate reward once you hit the top rank. Players can switch to a new sponsor whenever they want in Career, though the earlier you leave a sponsor, the less rewards you may receive, especially if you don’t meet your sponsor’s minimum race contract. So, will you stay loyal to one brand, or see what multiple sponsors have to offer along your journey in Career? The choice is yours. SHARE THE JOURNEY Wanna take some of your friends along for the ride? DIRT 5’s split-screen mode for up to four players is included in Career mode! For any of the Career events that feature multiple cars on track, each additional player takes the spot of an AI driver. They’re not just there to cheer you on, either; the highest finishing position of any player is the one that’s counted in Career, meaning you could earn more Stamps, more sponsor bonuses and more currency by teaming up. Whilst those rewards earned only count for the host player, each additional player will receive XP and currency rewards for their own accounts, which they’ll have whenever they next play DIRT 5 as the host player. Finally, the split-screen integration is a drop-in deal – so your pals can jump in or out of your Career journey whenever you want, without it halting your progression. Nice. So: a deep narrative, starring the world’s greatest voice acting talents and real-world car culture names; over 130 events and nine race types, with choice-driven progression and extra-special events; a detailed sponsorship feature with real brands and unique rewards to earn; and split-screen to share the fun with up to three friends. That just about wraps up DIRT 5’s Career – the biggest, boldest Career the franchise has ever seen. Got what it takes to ensure nobody ever forgets your name? Nvidia owners - how do you run your screen in F1 2019
steviejay69 posted a topic in General Discussion
So, as some of you may or may not know I have two PC builds that I am using on the F1 series. One build is with an Nvidia GPU (6GB GTX1060). When playing in multiplayer sessions I am experiencing what I would like to describe as frame-rate issues but the frame rates do not drop. The gameplay does not stutter (often) or tear but playing is not as smooth an experience as with my AMD GPU (RX580 8GB - actually a flashed RX480). ALT-TAB in and out is ineffective. So, the questions I would like feedback on are; Do you have a G-SYNC compatible monitor (Yes/No)? How do you connect to your display (DP/HDMI/DVI/D-SUB)? What is the refresh rate of your screen (144+/120/100/75+/60)? V-SYNC (Yes/No)? Framelimiter (external tuner or use in-game option) (Yes/No)? Video mode (Fullscreen exclusive/Windowed (Fullscreen))? Desktop refresh rate (I'll leave this open to answer seeing as it does make a difference for me at least)? Nvidia Control Panel sync mode? The problem is not present in Offline mode, just multiplayer. But depending on answers, I may not need more questions (yet). -
