Hello. I habe a Problem with F1 2020 on PS4. If i want to play with 2 steering wheels in split screen, i can only register the first one. the second player does not react when pressing the option button. The Thrustmaster T150 and the Logitech G29 are in use. It does not matter whether the Thrustmaster steering wheel or the Logitech steering wheel is registered with player 1. I am sort of an odd fellow. I haven't played computer games for 20-25 years and have never been that interested in gaming. I am a stocktrader and am looking at upgrading to a high end gaming computer to trade stocks with. I am also an F1 fan so I thought it might be interesting for my son (who is 10) and I to play F1 2020 together. I don't really care about the game itself would just like to spend time with my son. So what I am wondering is it possible to buy 2 wheels and use them from the same computer and play against each other or do we need 2 separate computers? Thankyou

For example I choose all the tracks (26 races) and with my friend we finish for example after 5 races. After we're back in this mode everything start frome the beginning. Please always try to attempt to fix the issue I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, twice. Restarted my xbox, twice. Deleted all the schumacher + other add ons & haven't reinstalled those. Keep trying to open anything in the game and it just crashes to homescreen. No error notice. If i try and load a race it will go to load screen, load, then crash. For non-race things, once you get through the first menu and select something, it'll crash immediately. 7. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) controller 8. [ Hi, I have used the search function and it looks there's already something around but without any official reply, so I create new thread, I hope this is the right way rather than reply to the old threads ] I have bought a second wheel to play F1 2020 in split-screen mode (lovely feature!) with my son, but in my PS4 (game version 1.09) it seems something is not working properly: - they are both Logitech G29 and they are both fully functional in single player mode; - in Split Screen mode, once asking for second player (by clicking 'Option' button) the 2nd wheel (assigned to a 2nd account) simply does not react so that it's impossible to continue; - the same steps of the previous point are working instead by using a Dualshock controller for G2 (with only G1 playing with the wheel ). A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. Unfortunately I have no error codes to report but my esperience in split screen was particularly bugged yesterday. As you will see in the pics attached, when choosing the personal myteam team to race instead of the full car we saw only the 4 tyres and this was also in the race, we raced with no driver nor car, tyres only. AlSo when driving for other teams, the driver's body was missing. Podiums with floating heads, a floating head on the track on the starting grid for the whole race, and last but not least when trying a 5 laps race with classic cars my friend started the race from the pitlane and even got his wing replaced when for me it was lights out and away we go... Platform - Windows 10 PC Version of the game - 1.12 Can you make the problem happen again? - Yes, every time, when exiting split-screen mode. How do you make the problem happen? - By trying to continue previously started season in split-screen mode. What troubleshooting have you attempted? - None, because despite it being a gamebreaker, it's still a feature that's not functional at all (or just absent), rather than a bugged one. What peripherals are you are using - Xbox One S gamepad and/or Logitech G29. Any screenshots or video of the issue? - I suppose they're not necessary for this issue. And a bit wider explanation: F1 2020 has fantastic split screen mode, and you can even play entire season of 100% length races with your friend as your teammate if you'd like to. The game even keeps track of points scoring along the whole season, which is awesome and unusual nowadays. BUT!! What's the point of all this if YOU CAN'T SAVE THE GAME in this mode at all!? There's not even an autosave option. Every time you exit split screen mode, the whole progress is gone. There's such a big potential in this mode, and everything is already there. All that's needed is one small micropatch, that would add at least an autosave feature. Actually it's already there, like in championship or career mode. Please just make it functional in split screen too. I believe it's not asking for too much.

A detailed description of the issue. - We are using 2 setups, both Fanatec F1 Clubsport. When attempting Split-Screen and you need to press X to activate player 2, it does not register. If however we use 1 wheel setup and 1 PS4 controller it registers player 2. We have tried all different type of logging in and out and making sure the PS4 controller wasn't on, no matter what we attempt the 2nd wheel setup can not be identified and activated for player 2. We got this whole set-up so we would be able to play split-screen like this but can not. Platform -PS4 What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) -Not sure as this is for one of our clients and will need to reach out or make a site visit to verify this. Game was freshly updated and installed in October 14, 2020. Ranked/Unranked/Leagues - When trying to do split-screen. Wired or Wireless Connection? - Both USB connections. Have not tried the PS4 controller on USB, however. The amount of players in your session? - Trying to do 2 with 2 wheel-base setups. Were you the host? - Yes, tried switching users and still did not work. Did this issue happens for everyone in the session, just some people or just yourself? What did they see? - N/A We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? - Yes and I'm confident you could too, as I've seen reports of other users having different types of wheel setups as ours and having the same issue. How do you make the problem happen? - Just try to play split-screen when using two wheel bases. Can you add a report code. How to find this is in Main Menu > Game Options > Settings > 16 digit code in the bottom left of the screen. Please make sure that this is the code from the session you had the issue in. Adding report codes from as many users in your session as possible would be really helpful here. - This would need to be done by our client or again we need to make a site visit. I doubt that there would be much help in the report code as there is no register of the button press, and no errors being present. Just simply no response at all. Please avoid having us have to make a site visit or contact the client as this will only delay and cause issues and we need to know if we need to return equipment ASAP. Hey guys it would be awesome if you can choose the safety car mode in slit screen racing! It is available but yo can't choose it. PS: My friend and in love this game and he has this week bday. It would be an awesome suprise and gift for him when you can fix it

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding F1 2020 Split screen multiplayer (offline). I have some problems with split screen offline, when I play this with a friend at my house; the second player's car is much slower. Especially when changing from 7th to 8th gear. Also, top speed seems to be lower on the second player's car..  How can I solve this problem? We do not play with a manual gearbox, we leave it at automatic gear changes and we both play with a PS4 controller.. And we both play with the same settings as well.. The car is just so much slower. Force feedback goes to only one controller randomly. Diffuclt to drive when you are in a straigth line but the controller is going all over the place because the other player is on the grass. or you press the brake hard but feel nothing, because the feedback goes to the other player. PC/Steam, Xbox controller, wired or bluetooth. V1.12

Hi all, I currently have a Thrustmaster T300RS GT and I am considering to buy another one in order to play with two wheels against each other on Split Screen. Could I stick to the fact that CodeMasters promised us a split-screen option in the GRiD? 🙂 After the launch of the F1 2020 (a game strongly based on its predecessor), all we can see that CodeMasters easily implemented the split-screen option. Incomming the Dirt 5 also strongly based on the same architecture as the GRiD will also have it. Let's be hopefull, maybe something will happend around the GRiD game that's not even a year old. Since CodeMasters added the all three seasons, the game has been gaining very favorable comments and is making up for the losses of community support. However, on many social platforms grows up the belief that the game has already been abandoned by the CodeMasters because of weird blog posts destroying the brand loyalty. This is contradicted by the last patch, which supports new Logitech TrueForce products, and it looks like currently this is the best inplementation of this technology in race game. Also there are many questions about the split-screen option because people want to play with their loved ones and their friends on one TV. It is clear that technically Codemasters have a split-screen ready as they added it to F1 2020 and Dirt 5 (same generetion of game engines). Adding this option would definitely have a positive impact on sales as well as positive opinions and trust in the Codemasters brand. There is no rational reason not to do so the GRiD is not a competition to Dirt 5, it is rather a portfolio extension because not all of us want to race in fancy rally option. There is a huge group of customers who appreciate touring car racing on the famous tracks. And this group supported Codemasters with their wallets through the purchase of the GRiD. We all are waiting for split-screen option patch. Unfortunately, in the GRiD forum section, there is no longer any CM support feedback. I'm creating this thread here because I hope someone from CodeMasters will notice us, the GRiD customers who love racing in this less than a year old, beautiful car game 🙂

So, my friend and I wanted to do a short championship using F1 2020 Split Screen feature. The problem with that is we can't save the current session, meaning we would lose our progress if we're tired of playing. However, we've also wanted to be able to include Free Practice and Qualifying sessions to our split screen championship, but we could only do a one shot qualifying session and then proceeding with a 25% race. Plus, we would like if flags & rules and the Safety Car could be included in both driving modes (Realistic and Semplified ones). Finally, you could fix this issue where if you have more than one controller control scheme it could easily switch on your friend's control scheme when racing alone. Oh, and this is a minor suggestion but I'm gonna put it there: can you please make it so HUD settings and other settings are not shared when playing Split Screen? That would be much appreciated. If you include those little features I've stated above you could make Split Screen more interesting to use as you could make a short championship with your friend if you want. Maybe you could do a sort of Split Screen career mode in the future, who knows?

Good Morning, The reason for this forum is that I have the F1 2020 game for PS4 and I also have two Logitech G29 Wheels, the problem occurs when I want to play in SPLIT SCREEN and when I want to play with the two wheels, it only recognizes one Logitech g29 Wheel , and not both, I only recognize a steering wheel and the dualshock 4 of the other user. The F1 2020 PS4 game is updated in its most recent version, and to add one more detail, I only have that problem in this game since in other types of games like Gran Turismo Sports if it accepts the two wheels. Hey! First off thanks for reading. My suggestion is to allow switching between Vertical and Horizontal split-screens. This is to make life easier for people running on multiple monitors (generally setup side-by-side) to utilise a full monitor to each player. Also having better support for multiple monitor setups again so that each player can have a full screen to use. Granted this is probably a niche sector of your player base and perhaps not worth the time to implement but it's a feature I think would be great. Many Thanks, Ewok

In the challenge for multiplayer it says "Race with split screen" for 'Squad mode'. HOwever I am on PC so how exactly am I to do that?

Not sure about others, but I've found playing split screen on F1 2020 thus far has been fantastic. Really enjoyed playing a current season with friends, having the ability to put a championship together, single shot qualy, strategy pre race etc. Having moaned about the lack of this mode previously, just wanted to give a big shout out to codemasters this time. Hopefully this sticks around for next time and we can get some tweaks like safety car added in... but for now, bravo! ☺️
