Mate, like 10 people commented on that including me, and all but 1 of us thought that was your fault for changing your line abruptly. You left space, the AI went for the gap and you closed the door on time but as you where in a McLaren and he had a merc engine, the closing speed was crazy so he didn't have time to avoid you. Hold your line and there should be no issue.
I have been rear ended many times "holding my line". So what"s the next reason that there is nothing wrong with the AI intelligence in this game? All those having a AI rear ending problem are going too slow? How do you get rear ended by a Manor on a straight away when driving a Ferrari, because I have. When I played this game, I did so as Vettel and even if I was the worst driver in the world, this should not happen on a straight away with my foot to the floor under those circumstances.
Im just saying, in the video he posted, it was his fault, not the AIs. And I have never had this problem. Post a video and let me see.
No it wasn't. In the first place, I was simply holding my line. You can clearly see in the LIVE instance, where I'm racing with the T-Cam view, when my car is hit, my steering wheel is quite static. 2 seconds before I simply "tapped" the controls to stay in my racing line (I was in a curve, even if the curve wasn't very pronounced, so I have to slightly steer into it or I would've ended up veering into the wall on the right).

Second, I'm playing with the T-cam view. Although I can see the car in my rear-views, I can't really judge the distance he has from me. It's only when you see the replay in the HIGH cam view that you can notice he was right on top of me when the accident happens. This, as Lozzy has already explained, is due to the slip streaming being overpowered. Couple that with the fact that MY car is already underpowered compared to his and it's no wonder the AI didn't have enough time or  space to avoid contact.

Still, giving the AI the ability to react within a MUCH wider radius of the player might've averted this situation altogether. I don't know ANY real life F1 driver that would drive within centimetres of an opponent's rear end like that, going over 300 KM/h... Also, the entire time I was aware of him behind me, I was trying to give him enough of a wide birth on the inside of the track for him to pass me. Yet he chose to stay right behind my tail the whole time.

For some reason the AI is quite averse to overtaking on the inside of the track and will, more often than not, chose to pass you by on the outside. On that same curve, I've seen the AI favour going to the outside, trying to squeeze through, only to end up hitting the wall... It's quite comical (and more than a bit sad)...

After you fix the bug on normal corner cut strict rule. I think for F1 2015 cannot do more, a patch is a corrective, but if the game was bad there is little to do!!
I hope they do treasure this year, to make a F1 2016 much better!!
And it comes out in stores when it is ready, not to come out in July to get it playable in February!!

You dont even want to consider the possibility of you doing something wrong. As many of us have stated you appear to slam the door shut when the AI is alongside you. Try a video with a massive straight that is straight, it will be much easier to detect if it is the AI's fault. Also it looks like you are the only one with the slipstream problem, funny eh?

One very angry customer!!!!

Something needs rectifying with the online hopper sessions. The penalties are so harsh that touching kerbs results in warnings, I got shunted off the track and received a penalty for exceeding track limits whilst the player who hit me got no penalty, I got penalised for causing a colision when colisions were off, I got penalised for speeding in the pit lane with the pit help setting active.

This makes for any format of online racing impossible and stops me playing my favourite game. I cannot stand how the lotus e23 is simulated in forza 6 so I stay well clear of it so all I have for an up-to-date F1 simulation is F1 2015 and now I can't race anymore for the fact I pick up penalty after penalty. I've completed both seasons on full, in legend mode and barring some strange A.I activity, the game is perfect but the online section is seriously flawed. Please tell me there are plans to rectify this as I know I'm not the only one to air such disappointment.

Don't even have F1 2015 installed anymore and the lack of AI intelligence is one reason why. I have Pcars, but very good examples would be the finish straights at Bahrain, Hungary and let's say Austria where I think you will agree, you stick to a straight line to the left all the way and do not deviate. Even with DRS it is debatable that a Manor could out pace a Ferrari.

Because I don't slam the door on the AI. But since watching a video that shows you an AI car slamming me from the rear while keeping my line is somehow to difficult for you to understand, I'll tell you what. I will RE-UPLOAD that video with PLAY-BY-PLAY commentary of EVERY SECOND from the time the AI comes up from behind and knocks me out of the track. I'll even do it in SLOW-MO with COMPARATIVE ANGLES so there's NO QUESTION in your mind that I NEVER slammed the door on the car behind.

That work for ya, sparky?

PS: Even with proof, it won't convince you, because your mind is closed. But I'll do it just the same, because I'm tired of people LYING to justify their delusions. Especially when they lie about something I know I'm doing.

Theres probably no point saying this because you won't believe me. But it was YOUR fault! Everyone but you agrees! No one else is having issues like this. Just accept that and listen to use trying to help. Just position your car more to the inside so there isn't a cars width there and the AI will go around the outside. That's what I always do and I've never had issues.

Once again you are being presumptuous, that just is not true.
Everyone that commented on the forums earlier when he posted it agreed it was his fault....

Did it ever dawn on you that a handful of people who chose to disagree, chose to post in argument. For your information, here's one that agree's with veNOM2099, so there goes your theory already. I have seen some of your You Tube vids wherein you have whined about the AI yourself in quite colourful terms by the way.

I'm not saying the AI are perfect, they aren't, we all know that. But this issue he is having is something I have never experienced and most people haven't.

That video again...
1) It's not a straight.
2) You're in a Mclaren Honda vs a Lotus Mercedes, you made a mistake in the previous corner which gave the Lotus a run. Something that didn't happen on all the other laps where everything was fine.
3) You turned sharper left than usual to regain the line when you were initially wider because of the error at the previous corner, the AI had already chosen it's line so you are actually closing the door by trying to return to the racing line.
4) The video shows you look back and you can clearly see where the Lotus is going and how fast it's closing on you. So taking the usual line was wrong. If you left space and carried on he would have backed out at the next corner anyway so you wouldn't have lost anything. But because you returned to the line despite this, the Lotus had to try and swing out  which resulted in him hitting you. If there is a car there then you cannot just take your line and expect him to disappear, you have to leave room especially if you'd be forcing them to turn against the flow of the bend which is exactly what's happening in that video.

You should have either left space, or gone to the far left to cover the line way earlier when you realised you had a slow exit. That way, the Lotus would have gone to your right instead.

Even if it were the AI's fault, it's one incident. Incidents happen in F1 whether they're stupid or not. Would you rather the AI return to being timid and not make any effort to race? If the same thing keeps happening to the same people and not to others then that's pretty telling really. The AI has it's issues but that one was completely avoidable on the players behalf.

A real life example that's similar to your video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXQVx2qqtLw
Who got the blame? Hulkenberg. Because he should have left room rather than trying to take the usual line.

I completely agree, but the real life example isn't the best because of how the wing mirrors are on F1 cars, Hulkenberg had no idea Massa was there, but in Venom's incident he knew he was there.

Hmm, perhaps a better example would be Massa and Hamilton at India 2011 then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kgA703dA2E

Massa knows he's there, moves over to defend initially, returns to the racing line opening the door and then tries to take a normal line despite Hamilton having made his move clear and was much quicker on the straight. Ultimately resulted in Massa getting the penalty as he should have left space or stayed left on entry to defend, Hamilton would have had to go on the outside then and it wouldn't have happened.

@ Jenny & Lozzy

The patch is live but forget it. I'm so hopeless and angry on codemasters.
Strange rules are to heavy. I drive on a Kerb and become a 3 second penalty...  what a shit.
On normal rules, i can cut every single corner..
what a shit.
Why you find not a way between strange and normal rules.
Next problems :
1. On start : some cars start fast, some 0.5 - 1 seconds later.
2. Tyre problem : Sometimes the drivers  can't change the tyres in Qualifying.
3. The framerate is very instabil, in last time heavy
4. When someone leave or come in the lobby, the screen have big problems with the framerate.
5. Sometimes is a invisible Wall on the track.

All the problems are to much. I cant understand, Slightly Mad Studios need two patch's to make a worse game to a great game. Codemasters make  a worse game to a worse game.
What is wrong by codemasters,  that they can't fix the problems.

Since 2010 i bought every F1 Game but F1 2016 i dont buy it on release day. I wait and when i test it and see that the game is not so worse like this,  i buy it.

On this point i have a idea for codemasters

When you think, the next game is better, give us a little Demo before you release the game. A part of the F1 community lost his convidence in codemasters and with a Demo you can convince us.

Jenny and Lozzy, you are the only guys from codemasters, who make a realy good job.

Thanks for the reply, Lozzy. I understand it's a "design" choice, but when the AI Drivers constantly ram me out of the track unless I drive OUTSIDE THE RACE LINE... that makes the game pretty much unplayable to me. Guess how many times I've been able to complete a race since I got the game in August in dozens and dozens of attempts? Did you guess ONE? Because that would be about right... No, in fact that's EXACTLY right.
Goodness knows what you're doing then, because I never have that problem, and there are hundreds of videos on YouTube of people racing against the AI in lower tier cars where it doesn't happen either.
I agree with Venom in that this is a particular problem with the game. Not saying it ruins every race but it certainly happens several times in most races I take part in. An online race last night at Melbourne had me being buffeted around like a pinball several times by Bottas and Ericsson when trying to overtake me. They seem unable to distinguish when a pass can reasonably be made when they get that extra butst of speed down the straights.
