  1. 1. What Rally Structure do you prefer for the new DRC in DR2. (Allways including all locations incl. DLC)

    • 5 Stages per Rally: The 2 long ones in both directions, plus a short Power stage at the end
    • 7 Stages per Rally: The 2 long ones in both directions and 2 repeated in different conditions, plus a short Power stage

My fav car in Group A is also the Escort, lolz.  Generally not too far off the pace, but sometimes struggles to have any from the sheer weight.

I don't know if I'm officially in charge of the league now, but as nobody else jumped at the opportunity, I set up the next season.

So, Group A it is, and it starts in a few hours.

To save precious time, I just copied last seasons stages and most of the weather conditions. Good luck to everyone!

Cool, I'll have to wait till Friday to run mine but looking forward to it. Will be one of the first times in awhile I've had other people's time to compare to as i usually do my run as soon as it switches events after work.

I don't think anybody's officially in charge anymore ;-) I got some time to spare again so I'll probably be a bit more active in the next few months.

Nice, so you guys thinking you will keep running this league after dirt 4 comes out? At least until dirt 4 gets leagues of its own?

I'm not sure. Doesn't Dirt 4 support leagues right from the start? Why not?
From what I understand from the gossip thread it is going to be added post launch as they are still deciding all the details on them.

Well, then I think this league might still run for a while, depending on how many competitors we have.

Meeeeh, another bad Monte run. And then the terrifyingly grippy Night/Snow Pra d'Alart happened - that specific weather type is so confusingly grippy it destroys my rhythm.

Come on @Snaky115 that is not so bad at all...
I was 10+ seconds slower in the first couple of stages. Then got more confident with the Escort and brought is back to 3-5 seconds per stage. With even more confidence and the slight problems of Snaky I won the last 2 stages so far.

I hate Monte. Just the smallest of touches in a slow corner sent me straight to retirement.

That was a pretty exciting rally if not rather sloppy on the snow stages. I got myself a good pace on the first 3 stages but neglected to loosen my setup at mid service for the snow stages as I was basically using a super stiff Germany setup. Proceeded to spin twice from clipping the cliff face and understeered into rails at least three times from bad traction. However the night wet stage gave me enough traction to use the setup I had well and got within 4 seconds of @Snaky115 after ss6. Decided to push as hard as I could on the last stage and just barely edged out snaky. I'm expecting @baunau will pass me though after my pitiful ss4 and ss5 considering how close we were for the first 3 stages.

Still I'm overall pretty happy with the result despite the couple of messy stages as my pace was pretty good on the non snow stages. Will be interested to see where the other regulars place as well considering this is where @YoMrWhite won last season with the r4.

Well, that should have been better. SS1 was good, but in SS2 I suddenly lost the feeling for the Integrale and my driving got sort of shaky for the next two stages. SS4 was better, although I had a quick spin in there. Then in SS5, for one glorious half of a stage, I felt I finally found my rhythm.

Shortly after, I slid wide in a corner, broke the wooden barrier and got hit with an automatic reset, although I'm pretty sure I didn't hit a spectator. I tried to make up that time, but I had another spin, a roll and some more "contacts" in the last two stages. Disappointing.

Completed Sweden. Basically flat out most of the way and felt pretty quick. Think I had 3 spins in the whole rally where I lost maybe 10 seconds in total. Hoping I set a good benchmark.

I'm finding Sweden to be my favorite location in dirt rally by far, the more I play. Can't wait to see how it is in dirt 4 with proper aero.

I tried, but retired in stage 3 as my right hand just wasn't feeling it, was getting crampy from the narrowness that Sweden provides. RIP my prime.

Just curious and not saying this like I'm trying to convince you but have you considered getting a wheel? Or is it just a space issue and you physically can't?

I'm inactive right now, because my T300 Rim has a yaw-axis wobble that get's stronger and I detached it. I'm about to order the bigger 599 Rim as a replacement, unitl then I'm out :(

As for DiRT 4, I have to say that I'll no longer be participating in this league once the 9th comes around. My SSD-Space for Games is limited and DR will have to make room for the D4 Data coming in.
I hope the Club/Leagues-Update post D4 launch doesn't take to long, so the sweet league-rythm can continue :)

Sad to hear. But thank you for creating this league. I think we are nearing season 20 and still have a nice mix of veterans and - relative - newcomers competing. Hope to see you soon in a D4 league!

Driving in the snow in Sweden, but over here it is over 30 degrees celsius. So I decided to drive bear feet, It is... different because with socks you skid more over the pedals.

It affected my driving a bit and I lost about 30 seconds each stage in SS1, 2, 3.

Because of the heat I then took a brake for a drink. Although it was just water after the brake I did a lot better and on SS4, 5, 6 I now lost 10 seconds each stage. SS7 just 2 seconds there I was really flat out.

Let's wait, a lot of us have troubles in Sweden.

Started off decently in Sweden, but hade a big spin beaching the car on SS2.
But on SS4-6 I had some real troubles getting used to the lower visibility when running the game on ultra. The fog and snow is far more dense than on low settings I used to run on my old computer, and I really have a hard time adjusting. Doesn't help that I've forgotten a lot of the stages aswell, so can't rely on memory. On the other hand, great training for D4 where it's time to start paying attention to the codriver again :-)

Ahh, I see. It's to bad you aren't in the US i would give you a good deal on my old g27. I still could but shipping would probably suck.

Yeah, you and @baunau both put my times to shame on the first stage. (him all the way through) i figure I'm at least getting a good consistency going.

The added fog and weather effects are great on high. Totally worth the loss of visibility for how immersive they are.
