F1 2015 Details to improve on F1 2016 FEEDBACK (Game Appearance and more)

Recommended Posts

Please! Codemasters, F1 2016 need graphical improvements.
And dear F1 player's, add your ideas in general, also. Thanks!
1. Add dynamic Look around of environment, like Project Cars in the Video below:
Where you can look at all directions in any camera, in the case of cockpit, for example, should be able to look around, right and left, up (heaven) and down (inside the car). But consider very important when the player moving the the analog direction to the direction which want, the pilot's neck should correspoder this direction, showing that it is the pilot's head turning to look around. And most importantly, there must be a latch with a "delay" to when the player looking aside and drop time, e.g., the neck (image) return to the center gradually, a slower and smooth rather than once, as image clipping because it could mess up in the race. In time: 5 mins and 59 secs:

2. Example Lens flare in motion. Quite natural to be acceded to F1 in 2016.  In time: 10 mins and 56 secs:
https://youtu.be/fCbWv1CpYXQ?t=10m56s

3. If game have any needed to get an autopilot, in place of the player, do the pilot transition very, very soft!!! because if you are in the opposite corner of the track to cross the finish line, and ends the race, the CPU takes over, and throws the car very fast, to the "right" side. And this is very hard, you can come another driver ago and beating.
look at this last corner and finish. In time: 5 mins and 16 secs:
https://youtu.be/5z4eJsmLpd0?t=5m16s

4. All cameras, could have option to adjust (Improve this camera).

5. The figurants (more near) should be more realistic, with face, all details, like drivers.

6. This Lens Flare, is good. But I can see somenthing better for F1. The Lens of Project Cars is a good example. Smooth and simple.

7. The stones of the ground of scape area, could have raised signage. (as well as the grass has).

8. Bug on Mercedes Car. The hand of Lewis Hamilton enters in the car.

8.1. Bug on Mercedes Car. The hand of Lewis Hamilton enters in the car.

8.2. Bug on Mercedes Car. The hand of Lewis Hamilton enters in the car.

8.3. Bug on Mercedes Car. The arm of Lewis Hamilton enters in the car.

9. Very good, in Update on F1 2015, the grass flies in more quantity.

10. Some buildings in Singapore, does not seem to have enough quality graphics to see clearly, even from afar. (not sure if this has been fixed in Update).

5.1. The figurants (more near)  Until this distance noticeable,  should be more realistic, with face, all details, like pilots (but, characters from afar, may have, of course, can put characters with quality graphics proportional to the major distance).

11. What about the grid girls ... They look like inflatable dolls. And the skin texture seems some concrete material.
Put the quality of the grid girls as good as the graphics quality of the pilots.

12. The car barely makes pit stop, and you can see the rear-view the whole team disappearing.
Enter the pit, sometimes it's not good experience, once you try to go into high gear, and suddenly, the frea car from one frame to another, if logic. (the game should allow the player to do everything manually, including entering the pit and out, in addition to the formation lap, and control the drive manually when the safety is on track [for F1 2016]).

12.1. In this image you can see for a short time before, everyone was there, still out of position to make the car exchanges. (the team did not enter the garage, as it should). Simply disappear. (could be an option disappear, but only after the car came out full of boxes).

6.1. Here, a good example of Lens Flare. The bright of Sun, and reflections.

6.2. Lens Flare in another angle, Natural and realistic.

13. Sometimes, like this hit, car parts just entering the wall (on another occasion, the car tire let go and crossed the tire wall).

13.1. Here it should be the limit of how far the car could get up to the wall, without going over.

14. In F1 Update 2015 achieved something very satisfying. the ability to edit the camera's cockpit. This is very relevant. But there are possibilities of combinations that make the odd camera (even more so when you look to the side). Irrelevant to someone play (should slightly decrease the rate of change of the scales, but this only happens when combination that compromises the image).

14.1. Another example of viewing angle which is shown imperfect for both vision and for the car (Even looking forward, you can see that the car is cut in sides).

15.  Rain is a major highlight of F1 2015. Mainly car on the track. Very good. However, the filter of wet cêmra could have more focus. And suffer more variations according to water spray coming from the front of the car bottom, so that the visibility becomes difficult sometimes.

10.1. Some buildings in Singapore, does not seem to have enough quality graphics to see clearly, even from afar. (not sure if this has been fixed in Update).

10.2. Some buildings in Singapore, does not seem to have enough quality graphics to see clearly, even from afar. (not sure if this has been fixed in Update). You can see inside the car, could improve the illumination and shadow in the car (including the legs, need be more dark).

16. The stones, as well as the grass, fly in more amount. This is great for the graphic details. Except in the case of stones, they are too big. They need to be smaller and thinner.

15.1. Another example, which the spray of cars in front, do not wet the camera image, in addition to the rain itself already does.

17. In this example, another racing game, you can see the raindrops on the camera are more visible, and more interactive.

16.1. This image is a good example, the size of the rocks off the track (Less well, and cause dust in the air).

17. It is little, and often never see a wheel break like this in F1 2015. This should be integrated into F1 in 2016.

17.1. The tire wall could be sensitive that way, and hold the car in a crash, as in this image.

18. Damage could be much more realistic, with great sensibility. In the example, you can see that the most fragile parts of the cars, do not resist. And ends up generating many splinters on the track. It should be a real danger to other drivers and can stick some tires, for example. This danger should be over there on the track, until someone from the Security, enter running on the track, and remove.

16.2. Another example of the size of the stones and dirt on the tires, plus the raised dust.

19. It should happen, considerably, in the same frequency of the royal category F1. Mechanical failure, explosion (with fire, smoke) and failure of engines, gear shift, etc.

15.2. Here, again, the sprays of ahead cars. They do not create a sort of "haze" of invisibility for those coming back very close.

20. An example where the sun shines through the trees, causing reflections on track. Very interestingly, this effect.

21. The damage of the cars, do not have much logic in F1 in 2015, just a car hit his car on the side, and it will produce a standard scratch. Always the same, and there is no need for direct contact with the next of the impact region so that Stephen Fry standard car wreck appears (A better damage in cars).

22. When a car is considered to be broken to the point of not return to the race, they simply gets transparent, and has no more interaction with the environment, you can cross this car. (a winch should get on track to take the car, but in the case of that car stopped off the track, there would be no need for safety car, only the winch working out there. If the car breaks down to the point of leaving the race, but not the enough to prevent the move, the pilot should slowly bring it to the garage in the pits.

23. Attention to car detection, passing through over stones, off the track, there are stones in the car, crossing underneath. (this should be corrected).

15.3. More a example of spray of cars.

15.4. And one last view of the water coming to the driver's helmet in the rain.

24. In this case, my car hit with a wheel, and is the other broken. (fix collision system).

25. Add, it will be very relevant, the camera inside the helmet is the only one missing cam.

14.2. This combination editing of scales for the camera view shows the image failed, for example, the driver without head (Have added "Near Clip Plane" was something quite interesting).

16.1. Like I say, the stones are very large. (but the effect is good).

14.2.A clear picture, the combination of the camera that lets the rider without head (They could keep the driver's head, although the expense of some vision, but it would be possible to play).

Add official HUD in F1 2016. (this camera do not is possible in F1 2015, because we can just edit cockpit cam, and a angle more less like this cannot be found. It (editions options) could be integrated into F1 2016 in fact for all cameras or the three mainly cameras, COCKPIT plus TV POD and TV POD OFFSET).

The gameplay in F1 2015 is practically perfect, both for those who make the Arcade style, playing on the easy level , as for those who enjoy full simulation , playing in Elite mode. F1 in 2016, if they have to make changes, which are essential. Nothing that might risk and compromise the bright, gentle, sensitive of F1 2015 gameplay.

There shouldn't be ANY lens flare from the cockpit/helmet view.
Do real drivers see lens flare in the helmet lenses? I don't think so. They see a different form of glare and it isn't a hexagon.

The helmet visor in the rain isn't all that convincing.  Water should streak across shouldn't it? At least new droplets should land and create more of  a car wash windshield effect.

Would love to see a view that is actually from inside the helmet, showing a shaded or tinted visor along with helmet padding.

There ought to be a B-spec mode like Gran Turismo, or an AI driver like Rfactor, where if you simply get tired in a long race or don't feel like racing at all and just want to be a pit crew manager or car set up guy.  Sometimes I just want to sit back and watch the AI driver battle it out with my set up.  I like to cycle through all the cameras and just watch the race as if I were watching it on TV.

ispano6, I also have some doubts, as part of the Lens Flare, for example. But I know the Codenasters will understand and consider the best way what is requested. Thanks  for your corrections and suggestions.

Forgot to mention, more realistic reflections of certain digital screen boards on the car.
Singapore main digital light signage at the end of the straight doesn't reflect or cast any light on the vehicle surface.

Even at night racing, there seems to be an artificial Sun/light source in Singapore.

Suzuka Circuit Ferris wheel should be white and red.

Engine sound and downshifting and off-throttle sounds need to be improved. Skidding sound could be made more pronounced and accurate.

Ability to set the time of day for any practice session.

Include circuits used for testing during the season, like Paul Ricard and Jerez.
Include circuits that were planned but didn't happen, like Germany.
Include circuits of future and returning venues, like Baku and Argentina.

Create a game that isn't bound by a single given year and call it "Formula Generations"
Bring back classics and cars from previous (heck if not all years) as downloadable/expansion content.
Make it possible to race a MP4-5 against a MP4-30, a F60 vs F190.

Let me be the driver, with my own name.

Pit Stop auto-animation is a little fake, because the motion of car when stop and exit to re-accelerate, the car seems turn direction on the axis itself.
It is not natural, it is too forced, the car is fast, and when it arrives in the tire change position, simply turn to the side, without going too far ahead, going sideways just as it swirled on the axis itself.

Graphics from cockpit perspective need improvoment. When racing in wet conditions, it looks like PS2 graphics. Onboard camera has nice graphics. Environment items such as trees and grass need to be rebuild for F1 2016

The broadcast presentation is very weak/lacking when you win the drivers championship.  After having this game since August I've finally won the Drivers championship at COTA and was expecting so much more.  I mean really...that was the best you folks at Codemasters could come up with? I was so disappointed that I just retired both Brazil and Abu Dabi (2014 season).  I don't even want to bother trying to win 2015 season now.  Your broadcast style presentation really needs some serious attention.

I would like to see the PS2 game you're referring to.

The dirt tires, like grass or sand, small stones, by car leaving the track, it should come out of the tires gradually, but come at a time when F1 2015, Dirt some a while to the other.

Other strange thing that happens is that sometimes when the car hit, the car tire some of the wheel, from one frame to the other, as if blown. But without much logic, therefore, can not even see the explosion, it's like the before and after.
And there are some cases where the wheel breakage, and through the protective walls. This physical could be improved.

The tire wear must be visible on the tires when the car is stopped. Especially in the pit, and after the end of the race.
Codemasters could allow the player to do some celebrations after the end of the race, like spin the car on the track (0).
And Simulate Camera Motion Distotion.

Improve the Frames per Second of mirrors. Replays also need improvement (As a possibility cameras that actually exist in F1 cars).

In F1 2015 Replays need to improve the rendering of the game. You can see, as in the car approaches the camera, the graphics ranging. By far mainly seemed to less detail, and is of better quality when it comes close. It is the first actual game that I see with this system (bad). Need to fix this.

Agreed with almost everything you said, f1 2015 graphics is so awful.

I hope CM improve it.

Yeah I would love to see a proper T-CAM. Its so strange that we have that weird offset thing for the last few years and it looks nothing like the actual onboard. Would like to see TV style presentation and overlays but that has been said by everyone since F1 2010. Doesn't look like its ever happening. Damage is the same. Its an embarrassment in its current state and has been for every game but it wont change.

On the general graphic fidelity side I think F1 2015 looks pretty good. It looks clean and smooth and has a decent frame-rate at least on PS4. Reflections and car LOD's are well below Project Cars and Assetto Corsa but aside from that I think it looks okay.

One thing that's has always annoyed me is the pathetic engine downshift sounds. F1 cars have a growl to them when they downshift, its loud and aggressive and sounds great on TV. This has never been replicated in the game even in the EBD years(2010>2013) where the downshift sound was extremely violent in real life and completely absent from the game. Small things like that might not seem like a priority to Codemasters but I believe lots of small things done right can have a huge impact on a games overall quality.
