DiRT Rally Update - Version 1.03

Recommended Posts

Hi Codemasters. I use a Simsteering 2 dd wheel and find the game virtually unplayable. The FFB is hopeless which is a shame as the game has great potential. Do you have any settings that I need to change to fix the issue.

any new on a fix for the stuttering in windows 10 when a wheel is being used?

Again they don't mind at all ...  unbelieveble!

Nothing will happen, sad but true! "They" (Codemasters/the Devs)  give a  s***  since summer/autum 2015!!!
"We" are about 20% with the stutter problem. (check the forums, steam, ...)
The other 80% are happy. Reason enaugh to ignor us!

Codemasters: for what did "we" pay?? For what do/did "we" try to solve the problem? It's god damn your job!

So you have actual data that about 51,000 people have the problem?
Just saying, if you're going to put a percentage on it like that, I assume you didn't just make a number up to make a point.

Have you considered just trying to get a refund?
Unfortunately, such is PC gaming, that every so often a software and hardware configuration just won't work together.

are you a dev? no!  are your smart words helpfull?  no!
if it's only 1%  doese it change the problem? no!

you missed the point mate....
Does getting all aggro and making up numbers based on nothing help either?

You're angry and very unsatisfied. That's understandable.
Perhaps instead of launching attacks however, you should pursue a refund through the relevant channels, leave a negative review of your experience, and move on.

I didn't miss the point. Like I said, sometimes certain software and hardware configs just won't work.
I've been on the community test team doing closed testing behind closed doors, we had some people with the stutter problems too.
Resolved as far as I'm aware through the various fixes and windows tweaks.
The devs, which I actually do know, absolutely care about this, so I'm going to defend them on that count.
When the potential fixes have gone as far as a dev posting info about editing the windows registry, that's going beyond the scope of an issue that is solely, 100% with the game.

You are in a small minority to begin with. If the problem was anywhere near as widespread as you are claiming, then the feedback and steam reviews, by users, wouldn't be anywhere near as positive.
Steam reviewers are not generous, and people who are unhappy are far more prepared to leave one than those who are satisfied.
So that's a certain measure of a more realistic scale there than proclaiming 20%.
You, however, are in an even smaller one than most with all your additional kit.
Believe it or not, devs are not actually solely responsible for making sure their game is compatible with every peripheral in existence.

Frankly, with all the hardware you use, plus using a 780 Ti at 5908x1080 with 4xMSAA... seriously, that's like the equivalent of 3.5K in pure pixel count.
You really can't expect to be getting a smooth 60fps like that and using that card.
I have a superclocked 780Ti and know that 4K with 4x MSAA hovers at around the 25/40fps mark, with occasional drops down to 10/15 (I'd also say you really need more RAM. 8gb looks like such an odd figure next to that CPU).

This is, unfortunately, one of the things that can possibly happen with PC gaming. Even without a setup like yours.
I've bought a dozen or so games from Steam that just won't work properly. Such is the nature of the beast.
At least it's no where near as bad as it used to be. Not that long ago, every single PC game you bought was a bit of a gamble.
One of the strengths of console gaming has always been being secure in the knowledge that when you bought a game, it would absolutely work.

1. on PS 4 The graphics are very poorly resolved and blurry
2. after a stage when you're in the service then go to the main menu and back again in the service, the assembled tires are new
3.If I drive all 5 daily events I get only 4 times a reward !

4.In the career championship, the level of difficulty is far too high
