Dirt rally open championships

Recommended Posts

The game is quality. Difficulty level is hard which is great for serious players but I do have a problem with the setup.

I manage to get 3rd after a few hours in Wales - 1 of the 4. Then the next track was difficult so I used all the 1000 (5000) restart credits. So I thought I would restart the championship by resetting profile and instead of taking me to Wales it took me to Greece. So instead of learning more of Wales tracks, which I had 1 of 4 in my control. I had to learn a whole other set. Is there a way so I can keep playing in wales, even if I reset profile or increase reset credits or take it away. Or any other way to do what I want to do. It's frustrating learning one place then to force learn a whole other country with a different style of track especially when the difficultly is so high.

The idea to reset the profile was to start wakes fresh, not learn a whole new country.

Are you able to select countries in custom ralleis? I've read in forums its no so custom, its random.

If you want full control over where you drive, you have Custom Events. Custom Championship simply gives you ability to set up the rules of the championship (you know, like the name implies). Locations are still chosen at random, but if you choose all 6 then you'll be driving through them all anyway.

Again, Custom Event is for practising. Not championship.

That's not how that works. You have unlimited restarts. The credits shown is just the bonus money for not restarting. If you don't restart at all, you get extra 5K, if you restart once in the event, you get extra 4K, and so on. If you restart 5 or more times, you just don't get any extra cash, but you still get the event prize winnings

Basically, you typically shouldn't go anywhere near the reset profile option; it also resets any car upgrades, and, someone correct me, but does it lose any car purchases as well?

The restart bonus is for a whole event. Restart once on first stage, now you have 4 restarts remaining for the remaining 3/5/7/9/11 (depends on difficulty) stages in the event before you lose the bonus and get the basic Event Position rewards and bonuses for disabled assists at the end of the event.

The mini I did purchase before profile reset was gone. Had to buy it again.
When you reset your profile, it's like starting a new game. If you wanted to restart the championship, I think there was an option to reset the event

There is an option to ABANDON an event, or even the whole championship after you have done a stage in it as far as i have seen.

From the championship/custom championship/online evenets menu click details when focus on championships (not enter). There you have an option to abandon event or championship if I'm not mistaken. Same goes for Online Events.
