It has to be PSN tbh us guy's on the xbox one have the same problem with major drop in connection

What? Your post doesn't make any sense at all. If you have the same problem on Xbox, it can surely not be an issue with PSN
What I was talking about was a problem on xbox live (through a fault on their side) yesterday which caused a mass disconnection through the entire lobby on F1 the same happened on Playstation 4 with PSN through a friend of mine who was in a different lobby with people at the time so my post makes perfect sense

@jennyannem are you investigating this?

Disconnections is not the only problem. We have a lot more lag now.

another night, same disconnecting behaviour, but I don't think this is since patch tho, as we've had races without problems and we had the same kind of issues (but less of an issue if that makes any sense) since 2 or 3 patches.

Maybe PSN isn't the most stable at the moment, but you can hardly say Codemasters servers (or however it works) is stable, so it might be a problem together but I still feel like it's more at codemasters' side and it's something they should investigate at least

i have also had disconnections since the patch has came out, i was doing a league practice and got disconnected about 6 times which is not good enough they need to sort it out because im sure f1 racing leagues wont go ahead unless it is sorted out as its so frustrating when this happens and i love the f1 games but this has got to be the worst connection i have ever experienced on an f1 games and it would be good if codies could take a look to see why this is happening please.

The last change to the network game that would affect performance was made in patch 1.06 released at the start of December so any notion that this has changed on a game side recently is a red herring.

That change limited bandwidth to ensure users did not flood their own upload and eventually disconnect themselves.

It would be useful to know what disconnection message you're seeing. If you're getting a message about losing connection to PSN that's quite different to being kicked from a session or disconnected from it. Please let me know exactly which message you're seeing and I'll see what the network guys have to say about it.

@Lozzy We're getting Lost Connection to PSN. Your input about limited Bandwidth change along with PSN having some issues (they refuse to confirm they are having) contribute strongly to those disconnections. I am a network guy and know how things go
So please either push towards PSN or ease a bit that bandwidth limitation

@Lozzy Yesterday for us it was the ''ERROR- Kicked from session'' message, it happened to all of us at once during the first session after a couple of laps in the race, and happened one by one in the next, only 4 out of 15 players made it to the end of the race.

@KevRusski examples please of other games facing the same!! I play Project Cars, FIFA, etc... working like a charm. I have friends who play DriveClub, BlackOps, and the list go on. I checked with them. No report of disconnection

I also opened a case with PSN, they mentioned there is nothing wrong at there end. Codies must investigate. It came right after patch 1.08

People in AOR reported about similar issues in a pCARS social race for an example
I am sure that's a one off. Anyways, PSN insist they have no issues
i will say that the Pcars forums are buzzing with people moaning about disconnections, also Evolve forms , MGS5, so It has to be PSN somewhere , they cant all be one offs, but codies should investigate and throw some weight ay Sony to do the same, as these disconnections are crippling multiplayer for quite a few games.
this what I have read on the net too, I even had a problem uploading today too. kept coming up with an error.

good to see the blind are still leading the blind to the promised land. its comical.

Once upon a time a games company used a genius idea to stop mass disconnections, when the game loaded it forced every users nat type setting to be set at open meaning everyone had the same nat type, if you are in a server where the host has a strict nat type or moderate nat type and another player enters having a open nat type people will be disconnected, been happening for years on peer to peer systems, which is why this series is a dead dodo, not worth its weight in paper.

I felt I had to inform people on this as codies are leading you all up a blind alley. Anyways I better get back in my cage, see you all in another few months :)

Yeah we had a league race last night, several people lost connection to PSN but were not kicked from the party chat (as if they were actually kicked from Psn, it would have signed them out)

I hope this is being looked at.

This new glitch/issue with disconnection is beyond frustrating. Since purchasing F1 2015, league racing has become close to impossible. There has been no end of issues/glitches with this game. This has left me seriously considering whether to waste more money in purchasing F1 2016. I believe that the consumers deserve an explanation why a game fraught with issues was released and that they deserve a public apology for being given a faulty product. Yes the game is playable offline, but I believe most like myself race online in leagues. This has been increasingly difficult to achieve due to the endless inconsistencies within the game.

This ain't a glitch at codies end, it is a bandwidth limitation config (reduced bandwidth per user)
I am pretty sure PSN have done the same as a security measure against DDOS attacks.
Players are not facing this mass disconnection in other games because other game providers are not applying such limitation. So if Codies can ease up a bit or revert to pre-1.06 patch settings, I am 99% sure the mass disconnection will disappear

Please do so guys .. PSN will not change stance especially they got hacked twice so far this year!!

I called a decreased stability since that patch on the PS4, but I think this patch only came to Xbox as of lately and that's why the xbox complaints have been delayed, could that be possible?

We tried in our league today 3 times to start a race, latest after 5 minutes 8 peoples of 16 were disconected. We have registrated mass-discconect since january 2016, after started new season, 2015 there were many many less discconections.. "connection lost "

It is still happening though PSN connectivity is way more better. Not sure if a wednesday has less people playing online than a Sunday, sure it is, still Codies need to look at the bandwidth limitation and be more flexible. Applying that in patch 1.06 was an unnecessary move

maybe more data is being transferred since last patch? so more pressure on the servers and bandwidth.
only about 100 people play f1 around the world online at any given time its not a hugely popular game like gta or dutchanalbusters so if the servers,,,oh wait its a peer to peers system my bad I thought you were talking about a real game.

Problem is still there. Please investigate this at least and if you are already doing that you should tell us.

Nothing to investigate. They admitted applying a per user bandwidth limitation in patch 1.06 We did not feel its effect before PSN problems. Now that PSN probably applied the same as protection against DDOS attacks, when PSN is at its peak online is no longer playable for many games not just codies F1 the only workaround for now is codies reverting that limitation Other than that don't bother. PSN are not confirming they did anything or have a problem so it is a dead end
