I knew who it was before I had even finished reading the first paragraph. I deserve a bottle of Baileys for this.

I am still trying to work out how a ban is actually applicable, having read thru the rules and regs.

Give me a sec, I'll have to go through the op.

this is a new account to preserve my anonymity.
2nd accounts to avoid a possible ban are not allowed.

I can see what the OP is getting at about difficulty, and how other players seem to be super fast straight off.

Having read the op a few times and I wish a knew how to copy and paste on a phone, the relevant section. I think that he is saying him and his friends use this hack thingy to improve the handling to a  more realistic feeling, rather than to set blistering times to claim top spot. Just a thought.
A Thread, Comment or Posting must not: Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person.

So creating a 2nd account and then posting on your 1st account to back up your original arguement = Ban.

I don't know, seems a little harsh to ban someone (I assume forever) for talking in 3rd person about himself (please don't hurt me).

It's more than that though mate. He created a second account to post a theory and then used his 1st account to back himself up, that get's you banned on every forum I've ever been a member of.

So you are saying cossierally and rs200wrx are the same person ? If so  am afraid you couldn't be more wrong.

You have made a grave error which needs to be corrected as soon as possible, together with a apology.

RS200WRX is a friend  of mine and was not the originator of the post or the owner of the login cossierally,

I'm sure moderators have tools to tell where posts and logins are coming for. Odds that someone has same identifying information (IPs etc.) is pretty small in community this small.

What ever tools they have used are most definitely  flawed, what i can say he is a friend, i don't mean some unknown internet friend,  i mean a close personal friend,  and i can categorically say rs200wrx had nothing to do or was involved in any way in the posting of this thread.

To each their own, but the V1 physics were really bad on gravel compared to V2.  Tarmac felt more planted, but Codies has admitted they are not completely happy with how tarmac physics are right now.  I don't think they are bad, but just a bit too floaty/slidey on dry tarmac.  Snow/ice patches feel great now which on V1 the car was still glued to the ground on the icey parts of Monte, now  you slide around like crazy which feels way better and much more realistic.

But, on gravel V1 was not good.  You couldn't power through hairpins, the car always bogged down it was extremely frustrating.  Also the cars stopped faster than F1 cars do on tarmac.  As far as FFB, it was reversed with V1, it fought you through hairpins and tighter corners when it should help guide you.  The revamped FFB made a world of difference and I would not still be playing if it was like it was on launch.  There's a reason why the #1 complaint with launch version of DR was FFB, it was just wrong.  They did the right thing and made that #1 priority fix and they did a great job.  Good on you Codies.

But like I said everyone has their opinions, but the vast majority very much prefer the revamped FFB and V2 physics compared to how the game was at launch.  Is it perfect?  No, and Codies knows the issues with V2 with the tarmac handling and cars flying too far over jumps but in my opinion I'll take that trade-off to the V1 glued to the ground on rails style.

1. This isn't a sim.
DR is a simulator, not 100% accurate obviously. There isn't a single simulator that is 100% accurate, probably never will be as we don't have full understanding of the physics ourselves. However the fact that the only "simplified" parts in DR come from hardware limitations or time constraints, like the damage model for example points it's a full on proper simulator completely true to the definition.

Just my few cents on this part. Sorry for off-topic. I simply can't stand when someone is spitting misinformation and other kind of BS due to not understanding some concepts.
Wooh, this threads talking fast. I'd still call this more of a Simcade game, and yeah, their trying to be accurate, but CM themselves aren't prancing around spouting "It's a sim! It's a SIM!" Only the angry people saying it's a bad sim. Which I find humorous. I mean, like AC and iRacing, rfactor I guess, all go about spouting that, and pretty much say it's a 1000% representation, like they stick little metal probes in your mind to make you experience it. But I'm smarter than that, I know its all just a government conspiracy for their mind control tactics when our society reaches the doomed dystopian future.

So, you could call it a sim, but they don't. It's funny, SLRE calls itself a sim, THE most realistic rally sim, and people point and laugh at it like it's a deranged little giraffe with one horn running around and licking windows. Then Dirt NEVER calls itself a sim, but everyone else does.... I don't get it.

*Edit
I could also point out the physics that were (impressively) thrown in last minute that still need a lot of tweaks. I actually kind of feel like they mentioned that V2 was sort of a hotfix, and they aren't completely satisfied with it, so, not a sim.

Yeah flawed is right. You know what I see when I click on the link to cossierally's profile?

Want to know what happened when I looked at yours?

You can guess what happened next.

And then I came in here and saw your post, so I went back and dug a little deeper.

So, tell me again. cossierally/rs2000wrx wouldn't create a 2nd account and you know that because?

It's not just the odds of having the same ip address, it's the odds of being in the same 2 countries at the same time.

How was rs200wrx's and cossierally's day trip to Greece Dynt? Or was it a day trip to the UK?

Well quite simply rs200wrx has not been in Greece or the U.k over the last seven days, which can be verified in many ways, I can quite happily prove this, so we are left with two options.

Either your information is flawed, or the forum has been subject to abuse.

He has made posts from his home ip who's service provider is

http://cablenet.com.cy/

and his phone while at work both of which are not in either of the 2 countries you mention, His facebook which he was active on all last week also show locations all in a 50 km radius in a third country.

ISP's show all over the world, & rarely in the country the user is in.  Is Trev not from Cyprus?

Yes he is based there now, and has been working here all last week, but what I don't get even if there is 2 ips its not possible for it to be linked to a third ip from the original poster,

He had nothing to do with the original post but subsequent comments made with his handle he did make.

He has neither the inclination or the technical aptitude to be spoofing ISP"s.

I just checked his ip, using this tool and it is very accurate as to the exact location, so if the ip shown in the forum logs are giving something other than this then they are clearly flawed.

Well if all this banning makes you feel better then go with peace, if however you want to get to the bottom of what is a true travesty of justice then we can proceed in a productive way.

You ask me how I know that he hasn't created this second account its simple, Trevor Lewis is a principled honorable man which I have had the pleasure of knowing for over twenty years, If he had posted the original post he would have done it in full view and not felt any need to hide behind some spurious alias.

Even if he knew what he says will get him banned from RaceNet?
