F1 2016 qualifying format

Recommended Posts

As most of you have watch or read on TV or online that F1 changed its qualifying format and it failed! which comes to my question if you had the powers to change the format what would have as a qualifying format because it will go into the F1 2016 game?

for me i would keep the 3 rounds of qualifying but Q3 i have one lap qualifying!

I agree with you marcorrettuso1 totally 100% Haas could have done much better if not for this new crapifying. The new format is a good concept but it just doesn't work...

In terms of real life it should be scrapped without doubt. It was a farce (as we and all the teams/drivers knew it would be). I'd agree with Gav, back to the 12 laps in an hour session. Or at least trial it, I imagine it would be quite a bit different from back then because of the tyres.
Otherwise, 2006-2015 was completely fine.
Should this format be in the game? Ugh...regrettably yes if it remains in real life. If they had the choice, I'd say no in a heartbeat. Or allow us the option to choose whether we want to do official, last years knockout, single lap or the 12 lap format.

I'd keep quali the same as it was last year it works it doesn't need to change in my opinion. Same as the real sport.

This.
Not only is it easily the best system we ever had, the best to watch, it also is fair. And that's one of the most important aspects in a sport, isn't it?

this could be a nice feature for the upcoming F1 2016 game.... create random rules at random times and then make the game apologize to you after reverting everything back... a step forward to a more simulative game imho.  :D

I would have the 2005 system, 1 flying lap and that's it, if you mess up that's it, you could limit traffic by run them in championship order and have three days on track at any one time, one on a flying lap, one on an in lap and one on an out lap, as a car returns to the pits the next car leaves

that one's as bad as the one they tried in Aus If we didn't go back to last years I'd have gone with the 12 lapone but thankfully they've seen sense and we've got the old qualy back for Bahrain. Besides I don't think qualy needs changing tbh.

Most of the comments on here i think its best that the qualifying format stays the same as last seasons i don't think anything is going to work to make it better! The race at australia  was good i know it looks like a 2 team race at the front! but with the midfield teams being close together it looks like it will be close season of racing.
