[SOLVED] How to set steering wheel turn angle on PS4? (TM T300 wheel)

Recommended Posts

I didn't find a option for the steering wheel turn angle and wheel weight.  Are those options even there? I'm using Thrustmasters T300 wheel.

I think you use the steering saturation slider in advanced wheel settings (I think, it in one of the options) and turn off soft lock in preferences.

Hope this helps :)

This works but the wheel "lock position" isn't changed that means the wheel still turns when tires have fully turned. Thanks still!

For G29 you have to go through calibration to set angle, possibly the same?
Thank you! I got it set to where I want by the calibration thing. But it seems like to me as a non-native English speaker that you should turn the wheel as much as it goes... I think the there should something like "to WANTED steering lock" in the calibration tool information screen if the turn angle is even meant to be set this way.

Thanks!  :)

You set steering angle of T300 with the wheel itself. Then you tell the game what you want to do by turning off soft lock. Then the game will adjust to your wheel angle setting.  You use the d-pad right and left while pressing the button on bottom left of wheel, next to PS3-PS4 button. You can lock the wheel into any of the available angles. After you set it once, turn wheel and you will discover the angle as the wheel will lock into place. Just keep going one way or the other and you will feel it change by turning the wheel afterwards.

Why a fixed wheel rotation angle?

Just put the wheel in 1080 mode, than calibrate and set soft lock  to "ON"

That way the game will give you all the different rotation angles as used by the cars in real life.

Try the fiat 131 with its 1080 lock!!!

It's little easier switching from car to another when the rotation angle is fixed. I might try that.

1080 mode on the wheel and softlock ON didn't work for me or I did something wrong. Every car has turn angle 1080 degrees, even when the virtual steering wheel only turns 180 degrees...

This is from codies own blog:

Added Soft Lock option on/off – each vehicle has their steering lock set as in the real world (e.g. 540, 720, 900 or 1080 etc), for the most authentic experience possible we’re recommending this option is left on and that players set their steering lock/rotation in the Windows Device Control Panel to the maximum the device supports.

Here is how the cars are currently grouped but we may tweak them as we find out more info on how these cars are set up in the real world.

1080 degrees

  • FIAT 131 Abarth

900 degrees

  • Mini Cooper S
  • Lancia Fulvia HF
  • Ford Escort Mk II
  • Lancia Stratos
  • Peugeot 205 T16 Evo 2
  • Lancia Delta S4
  • MG Metro 6R4
  • Peugeot 205 T16 Pikes Peak

720 degrees

  • Audi Sport Quattro Rallye
  • Ford RS200
  • Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500
  • BMW E30 M3 Evo Rally
  • Lancia Delta HF Integrale
  • Ford Escort RS Cosworth
  • Subaru Impreza 1995
  • Audi Sport Quattro S1 Pikes Peak
  • Peugeot 405 T16 Pikes Peak

540 degrees

  • Ford Fiesta RS Rally Car
  • Mini Countryman Rally Edition

Are you sure you calibrated your wheel the right way?
