The video only shows a few examples of aggressive AI behavior on Elite and Masters difficulty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX1Rmeru9qw

I'm not saying that the AI isn't brutal, but  a lot of those incidents could have been avoided if you had enabled the rearview mirror.

How does having a rear view mirror prevent you from been rammed from behind?  :/

The Dirt Daily was fun today, around Lyddon Hill, I thought this could be good. Got a good start, 2nd place- rammed at the first corner into the barrier, kept going, overtook the rammer, started to catch the lead guy, took the joker, slammed again by the same rammer at the little chicane, 6th place, thanks for coming....

So you know where the AI is, so you don't put your rear in their front, so you spin out. That's what happens in the video
Which counts some of the time but as the video also shows there are plenty of occasions where you'd have to piloting the Millenium Falcon to get out of the way of crazy Barry 'the rammer' Nutjob. Not to mention the fact that when the shoe is on the other foot no matter how hard you hit 'em, Ai cars hardly budge off their line and interestingly hardly ever hit other Ai cars.

Hey I love the game but I feel the Ai could do with a tweak, in the rallies so the same top guy doesn't win every single stage like clockwork unless you do and in rallycross where your race is over at the first corner because the Ai has rage issues  :)

If the AI is ramming you then your car isn't set up right, tune the gearing to get on level terms with the AI then it's all down to who makes the mistake. If you always get rammed on a certain corner then you've got your line or entry speed wrong? The easiest way to beat the AI is let them beat you off the line then follow them closely watch their lines and braking points. If you can follow them bumper to bumper round a lap then your car is set up ok? You can then just try tweaking the settings a bit more to see if there is any advantage to be had and if not its then down to late braking into the corners. I'm using the Peugeot s1600 auto gears auto start no traction control etc and on the elite level at lyddon hill I can match the AI off the line and beat them round the first corner so it can be done  :)

Not saying it can't be done, I've just now won a championship at Hell, Norway and I'm always last off the line (not quite mastered that yet). What I'm talking about is the Ai diving in for gaps that are not there or partially losing it and coming across my line where contact often happens and I'm left fishtailing and they speed off as if hit by a fly.

AI can be beaten off the line   :)   And this is on elite level with auto gearbox.

I have persevered to get my car fully maxed out in terms of mods in the hope that it would let me match the take off speeds of the AI, but that sadly still isn't the case.  I have tweaked the gear changes and noticed a slight improvement, but nothing to get the flags out about.  I have made the final once haha, and always qualify for the semi's.  Does anyone have any advice regarding car setup.  I cant understand how the car can be so slow of fthe grid compared to the AI.  All suggestions welcome, yes my driving is improving at cornering etc.
