Console based threads

I play on ps4.  I use a t300rs and found out what the settings were and how to setup my wheel correctly with 15min on google.  I love sims and am glad the game is not easy.  We do exist.
We definitely do exist, yes! And there's actually a lot more of us that you would think. Games like DiRT Rally, Project CARS and soon Assetto Corsa has really impressed the console people - and now more and more people, are buying wheels etc. because it's actually a lot of fun driving a realistic racing game like DiRT Rally.

Now don't get me started on the engine sounds in DiRT Rally - I used to think Forza had amazing sounds. Now they are just... Meh!
Every single detail is AMAZING in DiRT Rally! GOTY by far!!

I honestly suggest not buying AC. Just FYI.

*However, I smell some PC elitism.
Lmao. Its smells  big time. PC guys have been giving console users a hard time all over these Dirt forums. They are having a hard time sharing. They think they know it all.
Problem comes down to CM once again. They are too lazy to give console users their own section here,  like all other games do. If they had, then we wouldnt have so many PC trollers hopefully in console section. And it wud help tremendously for console users being more organized.
Instead CM decides to mix together brand new console players in with a years worth of issues from PC users that most are not even relevant anymore. While PC trollers wait to jump. And when they cant find anything to jump on, they creat stupid degrading threads like this one.
CM your Lazy, just lazy and not caring. Like leaving out multiplayer, u couldn't find the time to make a console section.

Yep. The PC trolls be trollin. :/ Meanwhile guys like this continue to post.

Not anymore he doesn't.
I just don't understand why people act like that. OH NO! Someone made a thread asking people to post all their posts in a way that makes sense? He's clearly a PC elitist and hates everyone that uses consoles. I USE CONSOLES! well my friends, but STILL!
Then he goes on to say CM sucks. It's like, yeah dude, that's great, return your game and leave then.

The thecraicbear post was the obvious obnoxious put down,  stereotyping of the console user. And JZs  "HAHAHAHA! That's great" , read it again.  Also, all over these boards I see PC users responding constantly with degrading responses that are not necessary. And yeah I found the bears happy place lol. I also noticed most in that thread are the ones playing Nazi cops all over the forums.

Yes I call out CM, if they had giving consoles their own section on forums then we wouldn't have messy forums. CM put out a Dirt game and haven't backed the console users in several ways.

I post because I like the game but lacks in support for console users.  I have been using a wheel for 15 years and played every sim or sim like racing game on PS. I hv also played iracing on PC. I also turn all assist off before I even start to play, no not even ABS. I use 1080 angle with soft lock.
How's that for your console stereo type thecraicbear.

As currently there are 4 threads about people complaining about the game being too hard. God forbid they all just bitch in a single thread.

You do know that there's a whole universe outside this thread & that your post history here is publicly viewable, right? Your attitude towards new players has been made abundantly clear across multiple posts & threads, not just this thread. I'm almost surprised that you haven't been officially warned or banned for some of your discouraging & disparaging remarks against new players.

If you want to be the big-shot boss lording over  who is allowed to post & exactly what they're allowed to post & exactly when they're allowed to post & exactly where they're allowed to post & exactly how they're allowed to post,  then you are free to host your own forum & commit yourself to the sole responsibility of being its all-powerful full-time administrator, moderator, thread-mover, thread-locker, & final-word-having god of your realm.

I am aware. And none of my comments are against new players. Mostly just people like you that for some reason think an organized forum is segregation. There's multiple new players I'm absolutely happy to involve and welcome to the forum. And then there's people who keep creating new threads for something that's already being discussed in 7 other threads. Why can't they all just be in one thread? Where is the segregation? realistically it brings the community together and more unified. Look at all the duplicate threads and how few replies there are because people keep posting about the same thing.
I'm not saying who, what, when, or how. I don't understand where you get that from. Every other forum on the planet has a sense of organization. That should've been made abundantly clear in the video, but at this point if you can't handle that then either
1. You for some reason have an uncanny hatred towards organization
2. You're actively trying to act this way as NEW USERS from the CONSOLES agree with me that the forum is unorganized, messy and not helpful. You are just trying to get a reaction and I'm not going to do it anymore.

I can't even begin to fathom you're problem. You're acting like I have NPD and I want to be supreme overlord, when EVERY other forum on Earth is organized, and people will redirect you to the appropriate place as a means of solving whatever issue/feedback/BS you want to say.

I actually want you to take me step by step, hold my hand, and explain how having people post the same issues/topics in a single thread is being an overlord.
We only have one DiRTy Gossip thread, ThierryNueville tried making another one and it was merged.
We only have one Replay thread, and ask people to post replays in there.
We only have one thread dedicated to dailies/weeklies/monthlies, and everyone uses that ONE thread for each appropriate topic.
We only have one Mods/Liveries thread, where everyone shares liveries and other various mods.
Why are those so acceptable, but asking to merge the 8 threads talking about how hard the game/AI is isn't? It's the SAME thing.
Imagine if every piece of Gossip, daily, replay, livery was all their own individual thread. There would be hundreds of new threads every day. And with the way this forum is set up, withought any subforums other than between specific games, it's really unnecessary.

So, please, for my sake, talk to me like the dumbest most ignorant, arrogant person that I am and explain how that makes me the Evil Overlord of Hell itself.

...A moderator already covered it on the first page of this thread - to which you replied: "fair enough."

To which he said he couldn't sticky threads or merge them. Covers his end, but it doesn't mean other people can't organize things themselves.
You also are clearly just arguing to argue at this point. I guess you win, because people will continue to keep posting repeated threads. Have a good life.
*edit
I'd also like to know how much thought went into that useless reply that you had to edit it. But that's just pure curiosity. I mean, you can even PM me and tell me how I'm somehow evil for asking people to make clear and cohesive threads.

I'm honestly disappointed. I gave you a good setup, and all you did was give me a stupid picture. Not even a proper insult. I shall go to sleep sad tonight.

Will there be a dedicated forum for car setups on console..?
http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/40847/dirt-rally-setup-sharing-thread#latest

So far that's what there is for console players, but it also applies to PC players.

Within that thread are several links, one of which I found really helpful myself, and I've not really needed to use many setups from other people. I still look at them to compare and contrast, but I mostly go with my own, because your driving style may not be the same as somebody else's, therefore setups may or may not be beneficial.

@JZStudios and @Operator1 agree to disagree and move on, arguing between yourselves isn't going to solve the problem. It will be chaos on the forum for a couple of weeks and then it'll calm back down to normal again.

I can merge threads, just not make stickies, or like I said, I would have made 2 new ones the night before console release.

Part of the problem of multiple threads appearing the forum is due to the forum software and how it deals with merged threads. If I merge 2 threads the forum recognises the activity in both threads and it posts up both threads. One is the closed original with a link to the merged thread, one is the merged thread.

Which makes it look like there are more threads about something than there really are.

Ironically, the more we try to sort the problem out, the worse it appears to be. If I go round and merge all the similar threads, you end up with page after page of the exact same subjects, with the exact same posts, from the exact same people, and people continue to make new ones about the subject.

If I don't merge them we get similar threads, with similar posts, and people continue to make new ones about the subject.

But if it was more defined as to where to post issues i don't think so many new similar threads would appear . I'm new here (obviously) and have found it difficult to find threads and post that relate to me and my platform and hardware .
Maybe I've been on the pCars forum to long , yeah i know i probably shouldn't advertise that ,lol.
But i find this forum alot more spead out .
I love this game and am just trying to get the most out of it . I've got over 800 hrs on pCars and bought all DLC and will buy all DLC for this also ,but since Dirt's release on ps4 i haven't pulled Dirt from my system . I just need to make sure I've got it setup as good as i can get it.
I hope Codemasters will stick with this title and build it up and not just start on the next years version , they will make more $ out of me through DLC than a new game .

Stick around @2stains, I know it's chaotic at the moment but it does sort itself out pretty quickly once the influx of new members calms down.

The truth is, even if we created seperate threads for each system, people would still post in the 1st DiRT related part of the forum that they click on.

The forum has never had a different section for different systems, the forum is about the game, not what you play it on. The guys who have partof the forum since DiRT was released have always played on different systems. It's never been an issue before.

They should have different sections in the Technical Assistance part of the forum for different systems now that we have had a staggered release. I'll ask @ChristinaMc to make 2 stickies.

I know that there are a lot of pc master race type replies at the moment, which are making life hard for the new guys. They too will calm down once the influx of repeated questions and posts from the new guys calms down and the we all get to see who is actually a real fan of the game and who is just a kid that hops from 1 new game to the next. Hopefully, by that time most of the new fans will have started catching the AI. And if they haven't, people will be more willing to help them. I promise.

We had a similar problem when the first pc guys joined after the game was released on Early Access. On the day of release most of the regulars made 1 or 2 woot posts, downloaded the game, and then disappeared for a couple of weeks because they knew what was going to happen.

The stickies in question are now live, so console-specific issues can be discussed. They're in the Technical Assistance part of the forum.
