Newly purchased cars incompetitive

Recommended Posts

When you start a new event series after purchasing a new car, the car has no upgrades and is really slow. This makes it impossible to keep up with split times and you finish in a very poor position, leading you to drop in the overall standings. Wondering if there is a way to upgrade the car more quickly to make it competitive?

Custom championship. Apply the right perks to your engineers. Drive the car a lot.

Once you have fully upgraded engineers and perks you can upgrade every car on a single stage in custom championship.

I've been upgrading the last few cars lately, and you can't do it in a single stage. Atleast not for rally cars. I got perks for drivetrain, country, car class and the car itself, rallycross and hillclimb you can do pretty fast, but rally cars still take a while

I reckon you could get pretty close to a single stage though. I've been fully upgrading the 80s/group B rwd cars in about 6/7 stages, and that' with only optimsing the 15% perks. If I were to optimise all perks I could obviously do it quicker, but then the cost of changing perks to suit each car would outweigh the reward I get from the stages I complete so would be losing money.

When you have bought all cars, just a few of them not fully upgraded and have 6 million credits, money is not really an issue :) Anyway, yesterday upgraded all of the S1600 cars. Set all the perks for each car, the Clio only took 4 laps of Lydden hill clubman to fully upgrade, but I think rallycross cars upgrade a bit faster. Anyway, now I only have the 208 T16 Pikes Peak car left. Bought all the perks for it so when a daily comes, I'll be ready :D
