Corrupt Save Files - Fix Incoming!

Absolute rubbish, a patch is on the way. 

Just received an email from Sony Network: they haven't heard about an eventual patch, they tell me if there would be one they suggest I contact Codemaster in order to know when it will be released. Here is the transcription but it's in Dutch;

They are still wrong (or just not informed), a patch is on route. Proof as they say will be when it's deployed on the live servers.

Who said it/where was it said that selling all your online cars fixes the corruption issue?


I'm probably going to go try that now and see if I can progress any further through career... all my cars are low-level anyway so it's not like I'll lose much.

To be honest i don´t trust too much about Sony PSN said or not. In fact they are merly telephone operator who knows a bunch of things around some issues but aren´t the most reliable sorurce since its basic service, specially at PSN. Only as a point based in my experience with them.

A few months ago i had the sad opportunity to adressed with them and it was a shame how they tried to lie and confuse things about a refund; it takes me one month to stop their intentions to make paid twice for the same content; i know it could sound rare but whatever they say i don´t give us any confidence, but any.

Call Sony PSN Support 5 Times and you get   5 different answers. Sad but True. Only People on a higher Level in the hierarchy of Sony have Information about These Things. But we customers will have difficulties to contact them. So we have to wait till the Patch comes. It's better it Takes a while and the Patch is tested than delivered fast but with New Bugs.

Deleteing all your cars stop a save from going corrupt.   Tried it, and now my save is working.   

Bit crap not having upgrades, but I can get them again, and now I have 36 million.  LOL

After almost one month, still nothing!
Yesterday corrupted data on my XBOX 360.
Hours of gameplay and all for nothing again

Codemasters then move your ass please

Bit crap not having upgrades, but I can get them again, and now I have 36 million.  LOL

I've tried it several times but is doesn't work for me :(

This method was explained here 3 weeks ago, i suggested you some days ago. Everyone that has a previous uncorrupted save should sell some cars, lose the upgrades but take the money; there are especific cars that are booster for others and cars that never becames overpriced. It takes hours to figure out but i never had a corruption save again, i force it to have a good amount of money if someday the patch exists for consoles and play the game with upgraded cars, or at least the cars i like.

CM has never suggest nothing related to that, only said that the problem could be there, in the garage, cars and mods.

when will people learn not to buy codemasters games on first release? how many times do you need to be burnt before you stop. this is old news that repeats over and over everytime codies release a game, save yourself the stress and money and get it after xmas and maybe then you will get a complete game at a reasonable price.

Well Grid 2 sucked BIG TIME!

I for one was sick of it, and the noobs on there.  

So welcomed a fresh new game.  

Problems or not Its better than Grid 2.

I'm not being rude lol if I buy a product I expect it to work flawlessly for more than a month trying isn't good enough. The game should not have been released knowing Grid 2 had exactly the same issue. Trading Standards are now aware.

Could be another week? That actually means more like two in codemaster speak.

Loore told us though that it would be here by the end of the month, "Hopefully". Just another line we've been spun, no surprise I guess.

i won't be going that far lol, I can't understand how f1 has worked flawlessly for the past 3 years yet people probably sharing the same extension lead to power their PC can't manage it. Code masters you baffle me!

Read previous posts dude! PC fix is live MS and SONY require any patch to go through their own QA testing which is the cause of the delay on console.

People have contacted MS and SONY and asked about the patch, they claim to know nothing about a patch, these SONY MS staff are Customer Services working from a scripted list of responses, they are NOT SONY/MS QA testers so wouldn't even know as it's a different department.

I know this because I HAVE worked in customer services, I DO have some technical knowhow, this helped me solve more problems at 1st point of contact than most people I was working with. Most customer service reps know hardly anything about the technical side as they have real no need to, instead they assess the problem and pass it on to a specialist department.

Throw in the added pressures of call monitoring, call handling times, and a whole host of other hoops you can see why a few customer service reps want you off the phone as fast as possible so saying "Never heard of it" saves them time.....
