ASicShot 0 Posted April 19, 2016 First I want to be clear that I do appreciate this game's difficulty. It makes it very rewarding to get a podium finish. However, I can certainly see why some call this the Dark Souls of racing. And I can see some people rage quitting, perhaps permanently, due to this. The only issue I have is that even on the "easy" difficulty I cannot seem to place on RallyCross races, custom or championship. I have placed first in the regular rally races... once. And that was on the easiest difficulty. I love sims and I love a challenge but when I complete 24 races in a rally championship just to be told I did not do well enough to advance, it is more than frustrating. I'd like to suggest adding one more difficulty level, below the easiest for all race types. If a "novice" level could be added and each AI given the same time penalty as if they had to reset their vehicle once, this would be very rewarding to those of us who struggle but make it through a race without resetting. This seems like an easy fix to make the game more accessible and less frustrating. It would leave all the other difficulties intact for those who are ready for that level. RaylanGivens 0 Posted April 20, 2016 The aggressive AI is ridiculous. I had to restart races up to 20 times on Elite and Masters level because the AI kept ramming me off the track. I uploaded a video that shows a few examples. I beat both the championship and the FIA events but I'm never going to play the these modes again. There's some serious rubber banding going on, even in Rally events. The better you drive, the better the AI will be.
ASicShot 0 Posted June 23, 2016 Looks like the last update did the trick. I was finally able to win a rallycross race and the AI do not all take off like rocket ships from the starting line. Good Job on the patch Codemasters!
