And after win the Masters rally in career mode, what happens?

Hello:

I have a doub that i can´t find an answer. A few days ago i won the Masters Rally in carrer mode in PS4; i recieve a gold PSN trophy and a message in the game wich says "congrats, you will figth next seasson to defend the title". (or something like that..)

So, now i have a new masters rally with all the 6 rallies and 12 events each one, but my question is: if i not win or get at least the third place, or even if i retire from the rally, will i be drop to the elite category or i will keep on the master category and a play a new rally just because i reached the last category??  (in fact i don´t like the car i choosed this time, but i don´t want to be descended or drop to the previos category).

I don't know but logic would say that you would continue in the upper level, the contrary wouldn't even cross my mind...

But i won yet; the masters and got the achievement, and that is the reason i wonder if the systems continues with the same method as in previous career categories: if someones retires will be drop to the previous category, or if will stay forever in masters once i reached it and win it, achievement included?? (iñm feeling that i´m gonna get a 7th place as much...XD, I can´t manage the car and times are pretty much difficult than the first masters i won, and don´t know why but it asking me for really hard times to beat.

You will only go down to elite if you finish the masters championship in the bottom 3. It's basically a league, after all 6 events, top 3 get promoted, bottom 3 get demoted. As youre in masters, you cant get any higher, you just get the honour of winning the toughest division.

O.k. Thanks a lot everyone for your responses. Now i understand it.  i didn´t know that middle positions doesn´t demote a category, i always tried to be in the 1, 2 or 3th position.

So i should keep on racing with the car i choosed and tried not to fall to the three last positions..XD, i hope but is gonna be a hard work because i´m really surprised because the times is asking for...way too difficult than the first master tournament. Anyway i don´t think that coud be done so bad myself...  at least i hope a 8 or 9 th position if nothing change. What a great game!!
