New ideas for set-ups

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,I would like to explain to you how the creation of the set-up should be for the next game onwards in my opinion. I've seen a couple of videos of the Moto GP game series by Milestone and they have a very cool method to do the set-up,for example once you are in the garage you have a meeting with your engineer and in this conversations he asks you some questions and according to your answer the setting will be changed,of course you will always be able to make your own personal set-up as always but it would a nice feature for people like me that aren't good in making a personal set-up alone

What do you think guys? Would like an option like this?

I can't see that working out well. They is too many parameters involved in setting up an F1 car.  How would you be able to tell your engineer I have mid corner under steer in turns 3,4,8 and 12? All your engineer will do is select low, med, high downforce.  What they should do is properly explain each setting and show you how adjusting each setting affects your lap times.

It would be nice if we could get some kind of app to make it easier to exchange your setups. A standard format provided by CM on the forum would be nice too were all the options visible and you only have to fill it. Now you get different formats from the community.

This was a feature that was in in f106 and F1:CE yes 10 years ago.

You where given a default setup and then you are sent out to run a test on different things such as down force, ride height and other parameters over the course of the practice session, it actually made the sessions worthwhile as you where developing your setup during the course of the weekend combined that with the full sessions and session length again just added to the authenticity of the sport, unlike Codemasters F1-Lite
