Nothing's confirmed yet by codemasters Silverstone release would be good but I'd happy wait until the end of August to fix bugs glitches etc

Nothing's been confirmed yet but I'd rather have a bug free or relatively bug free game than a rushed one besides we don't know the confirmed date yet as we don't have one those sites have only put dates up I assume as placeholders as they likely don't have one either. So until CM give us one we'll just have to make do with what info they are willing to share. At least for now the cats out of the bag we know there is a game incoming and what it's main features entail. For now we'll just have to make do with that knowledge.

The only confirmation on release date is that its sometime in Summer as stated by the O.P im going to say mid to late august tbh specially considering theyve got a beta going out which they would need time to process feedback, seems like theyve been extremely busy which explains lack of info a bit but we shall see if effort = result

Can someone explain this "F1 2016’s new career mode spans 10 seasons and will take you deeper into the world’s most glamorous, exciting and prestigious motorsport...." When we say 10 seasons, are we saying the game takes us all to way back to the 2007 season to present? Now that would be rad indeed !


I would imagine it'll be 2016's tracks 10 times in a sense much like the earlier games  because that would mean CM would likely have to license the extra tracks  that aren't on the calendar anymore if they were to do more. Granted it would be nice but I think career mod essentially means racing the 2016 calendar 10 times. Just upgrading your car and abilities and such t osuit your style as you go. You will have the option to move from one team to another at various points for a new challenge and such. But again you get to pick and choose. The only thing you have full control over at the start of career is your race number and your starting team. After that it's just a case of seeing if you can impress people and convince them that you want to race for them then that's up to you to decide.


I recommend you try playing one of the 2010-2014 games then you'll get an idea of what career mode is all about. I would suggest going and trying F1 2010 as it sounds like it's going to be more like that one than the one on the slightly newer games.

Why would it be 10 of the same season, and since this is a new platform game, why can't it be 10 seasons starting with 2007 ? If this is the case we should see some amazing circuits introduced to the game.  that would give us tracks like:

Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Circuit de Nevers
Istanbul Park
Fuji Speedway 
Valencia Street Circuit 
Korea International Circuit
Buddh International Circuit
Baku City Circuit

Remember, the AI also gets performance upgrades during the seasons so I don't imagine 10 seasons would play out the same.

Does your AI team mate definitely get the upgrades as well and it's not just your car? Got a horrible feeling that because you earned the upgrades in practice that only you'd get the upgrades on your car meaning that your team mate wouldn't get them and would be lagging behind you for most of the season. Hope both you and your team mate get the upgrades that you yourself earn or it will be really annoying and silly.

It's already confirmed that your teammate gets the upgrades aswell

Agree on the box! I really hope cm nailed 2016, just heard that this is the last year the cars look nice,and good cockpit view. Halo from next year..
