Pits without automatic Steering.

Recommended Posts

It would be awesome if Codemasters can disable the atomatic Steering in the Pits.  That means drive into the box manuel, turn on the box limiter.....  ps: Sorry for my english  Have a nice day Guys!

I guess this would only be a positive move if they also make all cars in the pit ghosting to avoid disaster.

Also: take a look of how people are leaving pits in other games.. I don't believe F1 gamers are much more careful :D

Anything we are able to do ourselves is better then the automatic steering in the pits. Make it available as an option since we are not all the same.

I see it as a dilemma.
For offline/SP it's a great idea.
For online/MP .. mixed feelings :D

Things like this and formation lap is probably hardest things to achieve without having bugs or disasters. What if you hit crew member, they surely won't be rock solid, or ghosting...because that takes away the realism and might as well stick to automatic then, and surely they won't dedicate a team making animations of pit crew members falling over, let's not even begin to ask what would happen if we collide with other car and they end up getting stuck in pits sideways in the pits and so on lol. Don't get me wrong it's a great idea, but hard to achieve without sacrificing some realism.

I just want them to get rid of the pit lane physics, where you enter or exit the pits and the steering model changes to assist you to stay on the right side of the line. It's annoying.

Unrelated to pits, but in the old games with the safety car, I dislike how I lost full control of my car.

So basically, they should have an option to turn off the assists which take control away from you.

@JamesG  I don't get what you mean by "the steering model changes to assist you to stay on the right side of the line. It's annoying. "
It's a pit lane. Imagine if "some" drivers just turned out on the track while other cars are doing hotlaps.

In F1 2016 you now got control of your car when the safety car is out - there will be a delta showing how far away you have to be now.

When you're leaving the pits, the steering feels different, and it's like the car is trying to stay straight, it's different to when you're on the straight for example... That's what I mean. It's assisting you out of the pits slightly even with "Pit assist' turned off.

The delta is only for the virtual safety car I think, not the on-track safety car.
