F1 2016 Handling Model

Recommended Posts

From the videos who tested F1 2016 , it seems F1 2016 handing hasn't change... Which is bad news.... I don't understand the handling for F1 2015, you can't feel the tires, any weight shift while in corner... Any real grip.....  When I drive Iracing or Asetto Corsa, one can feel the grip and so forth.... I download a f1 2016 mod for F1 2014 and felt more grip..... Not trying to startup any hate... I love Codemasters F1 games... I just think , there should be more grip, tire feel..... etc

If you're talking about the videos from Aarava, Tiametmarduk etc, they just show footage of F1 2015 ;) I can tell you that the 2016 handling is a massive step up in every aspect!

The HANDLING MODEL of F1 2015 already is very good, the best until then. And if improve yet, perfect!

The handling (including setup changes) will be the main thing for me really.
I couldn't do 2 laps the same way in F1 2015 because I couldn't predict how the car handled in each corner.
To me it already started feeling a bit that way in F1 2013 - I loved F1 2012's handling very much.

However, I  can't say that handling in 2013-2015 is bad.. Maybe it just doesn't fit my driving style (or vise versa :D ).

Thanks for your comment guys Worntoathread  how do you know that, there video were saying its pretty much the same but tiny updates... Also CavSTiago  what wheel are you using.... I played with G27 and Thrustmaster TX300 , like ChokDK said, can't do any consistent laps....

Maybe its me , but wouldnt you think with the massive tires an F1 car has, you would feel nice grip

In the Q&A sessions this morning it was alluded to that the handling model has changed and one of the reasons for the Beta was to get feedback on the improved version. In terms of feeling the tires grip, Forza has that down pact and all due to Dan Greenawalt who has implemented code that exceeds the basic testing formulas from tire testing companies like CalSpan et al.  IMO, an F1 car is all about what haptic feedback tires transmits to the driver via the car's suspension and chassis and this needs to be improved with each game, not just a reuse of last year's tire formula. So I hope to see a marked improvement in this area even with the beta.

Thanks for your input guys.... I am for sure looking forward to F1 2016, not because F1 2015 wasn't a great one, just missing something for me.... I can't quite feel the car's weight ... example... I was playing a new career mode in Asetto Corsa yesterday and even in the little Fiat car, could feel weight of the car transferring, I know F1 cars are different than road cars  but one still should be able to feel the tires , you hear the F1 drivers all the time , talking about the grip level...   But the I am playing F1 2015 on PC and PS4 with Logitech G25 wheel and Thrustmaster  TX300

Yeah
From what they said you can't take to much curb as you won't have enough grip
