Right, let me clarify a few things before I start. I'm not a Codemasters employee and I have no idea how the selection process works at all. Also, congratulations to those that got a code.

Formalities over, I'll get on with the rant.

I know that people are upset that they didn't get chosen for the beta, but that's life. You can't win everything. (I'm a Sunderland supporter, I know that all too well!). What will not be tolerated, however, is bashing each other and whining that so and so didn't deserve a code because blah blah blah. Be gracious in your defeat and move on, it's only a game at the end of the day (and technically it's not even that quite yet).

Users who name and shame/claim XXX shouldn't have gotten a code could face warnings/bans - it is against the forum rules to name and shame after all.

Also, all the codes are gone. Begging and pleading on here isn't going to get you one and quite frankly is a bit pathetic. It also reduces your chances of getting one in future.

End of rant, enjoy the beta for those of you that got it but don't leak anything you aren't allowed to. It's also against the forum rules to share illegal content. Remember that.

Not sure, i'm just going to not say anything now lol, i wanted the beta to be able to give Codemasters my feedback, which is what i plan to do. Just going to leave it at that.

Right... people obviously haven't understood properly what this "beta" means.... there are no features at all in the beta.... i know as much about the game as you, except I've now tried out the handling of  F1 2016 and as i said above i will give feedback to Codemasters.

This, I am sad I didn't get a code as I feel I would of been a very good candidate for testing, but I move on and don't whine.

Im dissapointed that i didnt get a code. I have more than 200 hours in each f1 game in steam since f1 2011, and 250 hours (currently) in F1 2015. The most played is F1 2012 (269 hours). I have a G29 and i play more with my Xbox pad actually though. I could give good feedbacks about handling/setups and more about wheel/pad.

Could be because i dont post here in forum but anyway i dont think it matter, just because you dont post does not mean much. And i'm always reading some topics/infos here though. Also i wrote my nickname wrong i think, i put just Gabi.

But yes it is just 3 tracks and probably few days. I just hope people who get the code give good feedbacks for Codemasters as i would do.

I think it doesn't matter how long you're already a member or not. A few members said already that they didn't get one and they're members for years.

My interpretation of "Please do not discuss the Beta anywhere [except the private beta forum]" is that you shouldn't even really be posting general impressions.

Hopefully they picked a cross section of old hands and relative noobs. The game is aimed at both, so the handling needs to suit both.
