"Up to 10 years"

Recommended Posts

I keep reading "up to 10 years" why is it not just 10 year career mode, up to suggests 10 years is the maximum but it could be less, I hope I am being paranoid but I do hope it is not a case of once you are champion the career ends. I am probably so wrong but after getting so hyped I really do not want a anti climax when I buy this game!

maybe you can put a little more afford in reading all the info available.
I think the saing "up to" means that a lot of  "casual" gamers will not make 10 seasons. If you read all the info, you will see you can start a season even with mercedes if you like to, asuming the team is the strongest in your first season its out of the question the game will end after you championship in the first season.

Hope to take away your anti-qlimax feeling

The 10 year career mode is there for players to experience the life of an F1 driver, with the changing years. Players are free to play for up to 10 seasons, depending on how they feel. For example you could start at Manor Marussia and then work your way up to one of the top teams, or start at the top. They did say that the cars will improve and become faster over the seasons, so it might be worth it. Obviously you can win the championship in your first season and stop there, but others might wan't to play the full career mode (I certainly did back in F1 2013, starting at Lotus and working my way up).

Does this make sense?

Maybe there is a retire option?

I highly doubt there is a retire option. The best way to do it is to go to the settings and restart career mode, or just not play in career mode.

Maybe if you're that bad, no team would want you at the end of the season and it's over for you. So that's how the "up to 10 years" comes about.

Hahahhh! Yup! Getting more real i guess? If you don't do well, you're out of the team. The season is over for you. Then maybe you have to restart by finding a new team to continue your career season or start all over again from season 1.

It could be after all! F1 2015 is a huge step up from F1 2014 in terms of graphics with a new engine. With the removal of career mode and safety car, allows codemasters to revamp them even further before releasing a better version of them with the things that everyone wanted. If formation lap, parade lap, better damage models, technical failure, etc comes into play, bam! It's a dream come true.

yeah there was a reset button which allows you to start career mode from scratch if you wanted on the career mode it was quite often found in the career mode options themselves or in the MyF1 menu depending on the game.

OP you don't have to play all 10 season's if you don't wan tto the option is that it's an up to 10 year career if you want it. Persona;lly I reckon I will be doing all 10 seasons likely multiple times as well but then that's me. But that also depends on how much I end up enjoying the game.

10 years! Now If I'll just do 100% races in sync with every GP weekend, I should be able to finish my career just in time for F1 2026 :)

At first I thought it meant that they will go back 10 yrs in time and progress forward 10 years from there.
