Grid position at race wrong -Bug?

Hi all. Forgive me as I am sure this issue has been discussed before but I have tried searching for it but can't find anything on it. On Xbox360 I qualified at nurburgring in 5th place. On finishing qualifying And once saved I quit the game before proceeding to the race. When I restarted the next day, the game loaded to the race but I was in 15th on the grid?? I did think maybe I got a tenth place grid penalty for doing something in qualy or practice but I can't remember anything. Nothing was announced by engineer anyway. Is this a known bug?

P.S. I do love this game. Despite the above I started the race. Dry initially then rained just after the first pit stops and the rest of the race was on intermediates. I managed an 8th place finish after being held up in the pits because of queuing for my team mate. I was pushing Webber for 7th come the end. Love it love it love it!

If you pause the game and select Race Control (or something like that, it's been a while since I last checked it myself) then it will tell you if you did receive a ten place grid penalty and list all incidents regarding penalties not just by you, but by the AI drivers as well.
