F1 2016 PC specs?

Recommended Posts

When will the PC specs be released.

Its hard for PC gamer if they want to upgrade their PC for a certain game when they have no clue what the recommend specs would be?

Would it be a big step from F1 2015?

I would imqagine it'll be very similar to 2015's  specs because it's the same engine powering it. There maybe some upgrades but they'll be pretty minor as I think the main new feature is the revamped career mode.

Really, the same Engine, same graphics, a change or another in cars, in environment, effects, filters, but nothing beyond...
Probably recommended a video card like GTX 970.

Wouldnt go to that extreme unless you wan the graphics cranked but i would recommend it but if you just wanna play the game then you dont absolutely need a 970 although i just bought an asus r9 390 strix 8gb so should see a huuuge jump in graphics

Turn off all effects, will realize the fastest graphics, the game gets faster, the fps increases, as it should be played.
What really makes the game "heavy" is anti-aliasing, textures, effects, among others.
The GTX 770 can run the game well, but with everything that I said above turned off.

yep same engine besides it's a relatively new engine as 2015 was the first game it powered they don't change engines every year as they take too long to create  especially if you don't have huge amounts of resources like EA which as we know CM don't. So CM have to use what resources they have cleverly or at least try to. They've done a reasonable job over the years although 2015 could have been better. But certainly 2016 if it delivers on it's promise will be a cracker of a game once it comes out.

yeah I have 770's in my system although I have the 4 gig version rather than the 2 gig one. So I can extract a little moer performance out of mine

Is your graphics all turned up or do you have to turn things down to keep the fps?

The GTX 770 can execute F1 2015 with High Graphics, for example, in 60 fps, average of 45, but never is the same thing when you put all Enabled in graphics, compared when turn off all. This is equal in any game. You can feel the fluidity in low graphics.
Even more the case of a racing game, very fast images.

One way to check to see if you can play F1 2016 is to see if you can play Project Cars or other graphic heavy games. Project Cars has a lot of features, but my PC can cope with running it at 1920x1080 @60FPS. I don' know the full specs (like the graphics card), but I do know that it has 16GB RAM and a CPU speed of 3.40 GHz.

I also play F1 2013 and COD 4: Modern Warfare at around 1366x768 on my laptop, so I would assume you can with F1 2016. Just make sure with a laptop you have it plugged in as it chews up he battery pretty quickly.

Laptop specs:
8GB RAM
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz 2.60GHz
AMD Radeon R5 M330 Graphics card

So if you can play it on a laptop like mine (AUD$1,000), you can play it on a PC with higher specs

On  F1 2015 it's at maximum but then I've found I can do that with most of my games. I've not had to turn anything down or off. But then my computer usually meets recommended specs for most games that are around atm but then I do have a pretty powerful system because I made sure it was capable of matching the PS4/XB1 when I bought it. I did want to go higher with my graphics card but at the time couldn't afford it the 770's were the best ones I could. But they have served me well over the last 2/3 years or so so I'm not complaining and I hope I can get at least another 2/3 more out of them before I need to change but all is good so far. I know I'll have to upgrade again eventually but right now everything's good.

Direct X should take car of that for you. I'm sure a new version will be made available for F1 2016 - that's just logical IMO.

Not bad at all, I found out i was using an asus GTX 660 haha no wonder I was struggling, just got my r9 390 this morning and put it in on monaco with everything as high as it could possibly go and it still have 45-50 fps but it was only a small test (literally maybe 30 seconds) before i had to go to work so should be interesting to see what it can do in race mode, so far though its a bullet compared to the 660

yeah my last system had 660's in them but that was a factory built machine though. My current system I bought from Cyberpower. I chose the components I wanted and they assembled it for me. I have made a couple of changes since then as I changed the hard drives round so I could put an SSD in to improve performance and also recently had to change one of the DVD drives as one of them had died on me.

I'm still on Win 7 with mine but that's because when I tried Win 10 out I had a few problems with it as some of my games weren't liking it. The ones I did get working did run better I'll admit that and maybe when I next get a PC I may consider switching to Win 10 because there are one or 2 things I might have tried that may have got the games to work now that I think about it then. But for now I've decided to stick with what I have as my computer runs well just the way it is. But I didn't think of those methods until after I made the switch back to Win 7 so I'm going to leave it for now.

Nice haha i just gotta get my new processor then windows 10 then i can put it all in, tried to do a bit of cable management last night inside of the computer... ended up with a headache so many 4 pin power connectors that confuse the fuzzle out of me, hate doing cable management specially on this old motherboard its such a pain and the power cable for the mobo doesnt even reach from the pu when i go behind the mobo plate stupid thing, hope the new mobo makes it much easier
Haha yeah a lot of people had problems with games at first but apparently its a lot better now win 7 is going to die out eventually so we'll all have to change eventually unfortunately considering win 7 was pretty much the best op system to be released

The GTX 770 can run the game well, but with everything that I said above turned off.

yeah I have 770's in my system although I have the 4 gig version rather than the 2 gig one. So I can extract a little moer performance out of mine
Is your graphics all turned up or do you have to turn things down to keep the fps?

Win 10 kind of reminded me of Vista a bit at the start I jumped on Vista thinking it would be fine and the new system looked snazzy and futuristic then found half my games wouldn't run in the end I couldn't get back to XP fast enough in the end. Thankfully in Win 7 no such problems.it had the look of Vista but with the compatibility and flexibility of XP. Which is what I was hoping Vista would have at the time. It'll be a while yet though before Win 7 gives up the ghost but yeah they'll gradually ease everyone over to Win 10  even if some do oppose the always online rubbish that it has. Personally I prefer to monitor what goes on in my computer myself I'd feel a bit weird letting others doing that for me.

I'm sure I'll be safe with my new build that consists of the 6700K and 980 Ti.

Pretty sure you will be as well given that's even moer powerful than what I've got and I'm pretty sure I'm fine as well.

I doubt this somewhat. The blog release post mentioned the ability to change the time of day, which could possibly indicate a different lighting system. Also with the hospitality areas, helmet customisation and the possibility of generally better rain and particle effects, I'd imagine the specs might be marginally higher.

yeah but it's still  all being powered by the same engine that was my point so I doubt the specs would be vastly different than 2015's
