Will split-screen be back in F1 2016

Hi, I know many people don't care about split-screen but for the people that do its really frustrating that it was removed, especially if you are a friends house

Doubt itll be back this is one of those things i put with co op mode as more of a if they havr time once the game is working correctly kind of thing to me

I think someone from Codemasters were asked about it earlier and they said it was difficult to get back because it requires much focus and the game mode has some difficulties about frame rates or something like that.

I hope it does, even if it is slightly sketchy. My brothers and I enjoy playing splitscreen, we have since the PS1 days. It beats doing time trials and passing the controller along, because I always win... Boring.

It's very sad that 99% of today's games are missing a local multiplayer mode. Seriously, the only offline multiplayer games these days are CoD and sports games. I was expecting Table Top Racing to have it, but nope, not even a game which looks like it was made for it.

Online gaming is lame, what ever happened to actually inviting your friends over to chill and play video games together in the same room? You know, SOCIALISING.

I would love split screen aswell. And my girlfriend even more. Everytime i get hyped over a game she asks will it have splitscreen. So hopefully they bring it back for 2017 atleast.

I hope it will be back, but it probably won't. I remember my brother always being better than me, and the banter was unreal. I had an awful race with crashes and my brother was about to lap me with one corner left to go and I told him I'm still going to beat you and I hit him of the track (damage wasn't on) and he got disqualified for it, so I beat him, oh good times. But then in the recent two years I suddenly drastically improved, the race engineers would be like wow that came out of nowhere (see the reference :) ) if this happened in real life racing, seriously I hadn't played for two months, then all of a sudden I was at legendary pace in Australia, and then I could easily beat my bro.
I actually found this the most entertaining and most fun game mode in the games.

I doubt it’ll be back. The Ego engine they used in F1 2015 struggled to keep one view running smoothly, let alone two at a time.

Yeah, which is a shame but that's the way pretty much all games are going now. I think I remember @Britpoint saying that it means rendering everything twice which, as you say, would probably cause the EGO engine to implode

Or at least a hot seat time trial mode.. Yesterday we had a 2-hour hot lap session before the GP. It would be cool if you could set up different players and each do let's say 10 laps and record the best time of each stint.

Yeah I'd certainly take a hit on graphics to play split screen, and at the very least lets hope for co-op. Games are meant for socialising and working with / beating a friend is greatly satisfying!!

I'm gonna say no - Codies would have made a BIG deal out of it by now

Just like they did with career mode (returning feature not a new one, safety car again not new) etc

I don't think it'll be in either and I'd assume it's a no unless CM actually say anything which as far as I know they haven't yet.
