Oh sorry i forgot one thing, it's July and most of the drivers and teams are totally irrelevant in F1 2013. It's a bit like Like releasing a London Olympics game around about now!!!!

Codies have never made sims. What made you think they would start now?

The Nordschleife included in the "classic" tracks.

Keep it open like a sim (all tracks and cars are accessible from startup).

Geared more towards wheel users.

Handling model closer to 2011.

My wish list:
  • All three practice sessions
  • Real time weather option
  • Super sensitive damage mode option (wing comes off easier)
  • Accurate sponsor boards  and backgrounds (tobacco, alcohol, and casino/gambling are exceptions)
  • Early 2000s classic cars
  • F1 TV mode just like F1 Championship Edition 2006 (you could make a custom race, set the laps, weather, starting grid order, commentary, etc. It is just like watching the race on TV)
  • Accurate replay camera angles (just like on TV)
  • FOM  TV graphics option
  • Improved safety car (comes out anytime there is lots of debris, retirement (cars far in runoff areas are an exception), will be out longer the bigger the crash
  • Red flags or safety car for super heavy rain
  • Super heavy rain option (makes track super difficult to drive on even on wets and will have red flag or safety car deployed)
  • Lap from pits to grid before the race
  • Formation lap
  • Cool down lap after race finishes
  • Grid ceremony (national anthems play, trophies, etc)
  • Interviews in press room after race and qualifying (if finished or qualified in top 3), interviews in paddock after practice and if finished or qualified out of top 3.
  • Ability to drive to your grid after a red flag
  • Cars don't disappear after a crash, martial crew and cranes pick up cars and debris off the track (these cannot be hit)
  • Remove the auto braking in runoff areas (it is extremely annoying when your car has super power brakes which destroy your tires the second you accidentally go off track, completely unnecessary.
  • Ghosting if going too slow is removed in offline races and has an option in online races
  • Cars don't magically ghost through crashes
  • More classic tracks and the classic versions of them (60s Monza, classic spa, classic hockingheimring, etc.)
  • Remove the auto pilot if you go off track or go to slow when the safety car is out, you have complete control of the car and the game does not spawn you back on track.
  • 22 player online races.
  • GP2 and GP3 racing series (the EA NASCAR games did this with the 2 series below the sprint cup series) It would not even have to have the official teams and drivers, just fake teams, drivers. All that would be needed is a chassis.
  • Be able to watch video feed of race if you retired, watch practice and qualifying session if you are in the garage.
  • Ability to turn all penalties off
  • Ability to completely drive your car in the pit lane
  • Speeding penalties and unsafe releases
  • Full flag system, see this: http://www.formula1.com/inside_f1/understanding_f1_racing/5282.html
  • Ability to turn tire wear and fuel off
  • Unlimited career mode seasons
  • Create a custom team for the GP3 series season after you are done racing (you could still have the option of driving one of the cars or you could watch the races like TV, manage finances on development, upgrade your pit crew, etc.) You could then move up to GP2 and then F1 after a few seasons.
  • Ability to watch replays from other cars
  • Ability to save race replays onto system and upload them to youtube.

This is my first post here so here it goes:
  • I would like to hear and see more about other drivers incidents, sometimes I just see theres a yellow flag somewhere and suddenly there are only 21 cars on track, then I have to go to race director to see who left the race, a better replay system where we can change drivers and with more time to replay would be great. (there was a game for the 1998 season I believe that had a small window that appeared whenever there was an incident on another part of the track, that was awesome)
  • More car damage scale, like from 0 to 10, where 10 would be a completely realistic damage mode.
  • Formation lap and complete starting grid.
  • Podium
  • An option when pitting to repair o not the damages (sometimes the front wing gets just a little bit damage and yet they change it losing a couple of important seconds)
  • Tire wear and fuel consumption more proportional to the amount of laps.
  • Also more options on career mode racing duration, like 10 and 15%
  • And also Tire wear scaling according to difficulty.
  • Is anyone able to play with ABS off on the controller? I would like to be able to lock the wheels once in a while but turning the ABS off for me its completely impossible.
Thank you codemasters for such a good game anyway, I trust this years will kick ass as well

I agree with the engineer upgrade, if this will be improved the game will be more interesting and more enjoyable during long race sessions.

What i want in F1 2014 (online):

*The ability to see who has an penalty, have an option to see the whole list of drivers, rather than 3 while racing and if they have an penalty, it should be visible next to their name.

*Option for manual pit limiter.

*Ability to join a qualifying session and participate, instead of spectating. (This will result in more players online in my opinion)

*22 drivers should not be a problem anymore with the next gens.

*Second screen for PS Vita, usable as mirror or live timing.

*Ability to use real weather simulation of a real F1 race from last year.

I would like to see pole position lap replayed between first and second Also I would like to have more options to be given for the OSD WHEEL such as turn on/off abs or tweeking the wing And drive in to the pits fully Manuel

I was just thinking about this, how about instead of having the YDT at the start of Career mode, you have a setup where you choose from one of the bottom five or so teams, and they give you like a straight line test or FP1 outing and they use this to give you a driver contract for a full season. Likewise, to add more realism into the career mode, you can have a teams reserve or young driver doing an outing in FP1 at the European races.

I would love to be able build and develop my own team. The licensing is there to use the brands already To be able to design your own car starting at the bottom To prove yourself and unlock better parts better designed wings/engines the lot To build a team from the very bottom and battle you way to the top or even bankrupt the team I think this would add to the excitement would increase game playing hours for everyone. Earn money through a season and actually be able to spend it on something. And with this the option online play to use your own tea or of course turn off customer teams Should also be able to develop a team with a friend ( coop championship ) If all this could be made possible I know me and all of my friends would be fighting at the doors of local game shop for our copy and would spend every given min playing
I really like this idea! if done somewhat like the FIFA franchise with it being optional with three options at the start of your career like:
>Driver
>Manager
>Driver/Manager
I think if this was this case it would add hours of more play time, immersion and make the game more replayable.

If they make those option available, then i should get my lawyer for my divorce! i'll never stop playing if i can drive and manage a team :D

I would like:

  • New tracks in classic mode, like Donington Park, Nürburgring, Aida, Estoril, Imola (with the old Tamburello and Villeneuve), Buenos Aires, Magny Cours, Indianapolis, Adelaide (without DLC).
  • Old teams, like Jordan (yellow), Jaguar, Toyota, Minardi, Benetton (in classic mode)
  • McLaren MP4-4 with Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost (or Gerhard Berger)
  • Old drivers, like Rubens Barrichello, Jarno Trulli, Michael Schumacher, Ralf Schumacher, Giancarlo Fisichella, Mika Häkkinen, David Coulthard.
  • Transfer drivers mode
  • More realistic damage
  • Interviews
  • A new mode, where you can replace some current by old teams, using the same model car, changing only the chassis painting.
  • Real helmets to career mode (Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, example)
  • Edit mode (to edit drivers, create new drivers, helmets or cars)
  • Create a track mode

*During qualifying when in the pits, have the ability to watch the tv feed of the session on the monitor to assist with tyre choice if weather changes mid session. At present you have to guess based on your view from the garage. *Realistic physics and increased torque feel from new engines. *Better pitlane experience, still getting held up by other cars. *Track looks wet and slippery for a while before slicks need to be changed to intermediates. Make more realistic. *Create a safety rating system online similar to iracing to stop people ramming you off the track. Reward clean and fair driving. Possible licence grading system to keep good drivers separate from unfair drivers. *More realistic damage, mechanical failures. *AI difficulty percentage based. Make it so you can keep turning it up so it can never be too easy. *TV camera angles on replays, current angles are awful. Also have the option to switch between cars. *TV Pod camera view moves when going around corners, keep it in fixed position like real life. *Realistic performances of cars. Vettel was not dominant enough in previous games. I've played all the codemasters F1 games and Vettel rarely won or got pole. Mercedes will obviously be dominant in this game. *Improved career mode, shouldn't be able to move teams mid season as that never happens in real life. Winning in a slow car without luck should attract immediate attention from big teams. Use contracts of drivers in teams to prolong the switch to a faster car, such as hulkenbergs current situation. *Better sound, onboard has always been good but no great, outside on replays is no good. Cheers

Just purchased F1 2013 but I have a long tradition with F1 Challenge mods (2003-2014). What I'd like to see is this (I'm including some ideas already mentioned):

- Three free practice sessions.
- Allow start tryouts at the end of the FP session accoordingly (in some venues pilots are allowed to perform test starts from the grid instead of the pit exit after the free practice session).
- Formation lap.
- False starts.
- Cooldown lap.
- Manual pit driving
- Manual shifting: shifting down from 1st or Reverse to Neutral shall be done with a dedicated button, not with the downsift pad.
- Manual clutch.

  • League Mode - Championship like in co-op but in multiplayer with adjustable setting (race tracks, race lengths, ...)
  • 75% races
  • more classic cars and tracks (including the old ones from f1 2013 dlc)

For the next f1 game, they need to
1.bring back the interviews from 2010 and if you have a mic, you can say what you what about the race or before the race e.c.t. the Also have the interviews affect stuff in the race
2. Have the ability to have or make a driver face like from 2001 f1 games from ea.
3.Also have the ability to customize helmets
4. Have team the ability to change driver like lotus getting Nico hulkinburg and team improving at end of seasons.
5. Have sponsors for the driver and team that you can deside or suggest  for the best of the team
6. have more track that isn't in f1 what everyone what.(could do vote )
7. could have formula 2 and formula 3  to increase drivers in the game and could help to improve career.
  8. With new team coming into f1 ,they could have a owner mode
9. Have online careers and competition
10. if played 2012-13, you don't have to do young driver test
please do this codemaster

I don't about you guys but what i would like to see in F1 2014 is a bit more simulation. So bring back the interviews and the Paddock menu those were great features also i would love to see in the game an option so you can do a parade lap at the start to warm the tyers and line up on the grid your self. Also add an option for a victory lap at the end of the race and able to pull in the pit lane and park the car in victory lane or just outside your garage if you didn't make the top 3. It may seem a lot of writing for two ideas but i want to make sure what im saying to everyone. One last thing if we are going to keep the same annimation at the end of the race where the drivers get out the car and congratulate each other at least annimate your own name on the driver suit rather seeing the last driver's name on ot cant be that hard to put in can it ?? Thanks guys :)

Hello, I think one of the things you should include to the game is the posibility to be boss of a team and create your own racing squad with new pilots and hiring new people adding advertisments by local images located in the console or pc local folder.

Thanks and greetings.

Better damage modeling. Would be nice to see a rear wheel off once in awhile instead of just losing a front wing and wheel after a bad high speed screw up.

allow players in full simulation mode to break for the speed limit line put on the limiter. drive into the box, break and drive away at green light. similar thing with the starts. change the pop up info panel from the color to actual temperatures and traction metrics. make fuel appear in percentage used and allow for more fuel burning options
