Polystyrene Blocks?

Recommended Posts

After watching the Canadian GP, I've realised that the polystyrene blocks marking the place where a car must drive when they enter the run-off areas was never included in F1 2015. They are seen at the final chicane at Montreal and at turns 1 and 2 in Sochi. Do you think they would be good things to include in F1 2016?

I think they would be a good thing to include yes. Montreal yes they have the orange kurb but also the polystyrene barrier wasn't put in until this year anyway. But at Sochi that is important again ( and for any other tracks which may incorporate them this year!

they could add something to the realism but just that, these are for safety measures and thet make you lose a lot of time... shouldn't be that funny to have them in the game expecially in online races

its also not fun to watch someone blow through the final chicane at Montreal and gain 3 seconds on you. they should be added, as far as i'm concerned they're apart of the track

In Montreal (and maybe even Sochi) I think they could be used to corner cut more easily.. You could probably just fly straight through the chicane and use the route with the polystyrene block as it's probably a shallower angle than the actual track.  There would have to be some sort of system in place to differentiate between someone using it properly after missing the chicane vs someone using it to gain time

yeah but i was referring to fair players who maybe don't have much experience and easily tend to overshoot braking zones.
This won't be a trouble that big for trolls, they would just ignore the warning as they do now with corner cutting warnings.
